I have been going to Silverado veterinary clinic since I moved from British Columbia to Calgary. Dr K.D. has been my main veterinarian from the get-go she's a wonderful woman and a caring human being. I have never had such a good camaraderie and friendship and a feeling a family as being a part of going to this clinic. The staff are amazing she is hand-picked the most wonderful people to work with her and make up her most fantastic team. She truly is a caring giving woman. of her time of her energy of her personality you could not ask for a better veterinarian. She listens I am a breeder and she values what I have to say. She will never suggest something that she doesn't feel is a good plan. It's been an absolute pleasure to have her as my veterinarian and work together with her to bring beautiful puppies into the world. She has a good grasp on knowledge of what needs to be done. And the nice thing is she understands everyone loves their babies. Which is why she goes out of her way to make sure that she helps to take care of your pets as well as possible. Everyone in my house loves Dr K.D.

Took my dog there for an eye surgery they said she needed due to a lot of what looked like puss coming out of one eye. They recommended both eyes be done so we went along with it to the tune of over1200.00. Three days later when taken back for a check were informed they had to redo the surgery on one eye, naturally we figured the original surgery was done by them they didn't do it correct the first time so should be no extra charge WELL were we wrong, went to pick up the dog and got tagged again for another 350.00. Seriously people talk to different vets before going their. One would figure they screwed up the first time they shouldn't charge to correct their mistake but it's obvious they are all about taking your hard earned dollar

The one issue that will never bring me back there was that they sold us a bottle of ear medication that was barely half full, and when brought to their attention did nothing about us. Full price for half the medication? Unacceptable.

I have a 1.5 year old Bluenose pitbull who was born with some genetic diseases. I went to 3 different vets who nickle and dimed me before finding DR.KD. She is AMAZING not only to my animal but she is also amazing and HONEST with me about everything. She doesn't charge you for things that your animal does not actually require, she voices her opinion and leaves the decision up to the owner of the animal. DR.KD saved me money by actually telling me their was nothing she can do for my dog that my dog required surgery. She also explains things in a way that us people who are not Vets can understand. Dr.KD does not discriminate against the breed of my animal and gives her lots of love when i come for appointments. I am so happy i was refereed to DR.KD and you will not be disappointed with her professionalism.

Dr. KD is honest and will tell you if something is not required. The love of my life, Betty, was scheduled for a neuter and hernia removal. The hernia removal caused Betty's heart to slow down. Dr. KD immediately stopped the procedure and unfortunately, Betty was not neutered. However, because of her diligence, Betty is still here with me. Anytime we come to Dr. KD, she offers truthful, straight - to - the point advice, and sometimes it's not what you want to hear, but it is what's needed. Most Veterinary clinics will BS there way to get you to come in, when your pup only needs some TLC. Dr. KD, upon my visit will tell me if this is even necessary and will turn me away if the service is not required, thus, saving money. Although I am on a budget, Betty's health is very important to me. I am a dedicated fur Mom and Dr. KD has shown un yielding professional service and I recommend her to anyone. Your pets can't tell you how their experience was when you leave them alone, so it is up to the parent to be diligent in finding the right Doctor. In this case, Dr. Kd takes the cake!

Well where do I begin about this clinic. I remember when I first brought my baby boy hugo. He was 14 weeks old and got step on a horse. I thought I was going to lose him until I brought him to KD. She and the beautiful vet techs chelsea and Kera didn't give up on him. I picked him up 6 hours later and still have him now. My female Willow May has hip problems until KD started giving her an injection every month and she runs around like a puppy again but is really 11 years old. Both my pups always get excited when we pull up at the clinic. KD is the true vet everyone dreams about because money comes second to her. Xo

Bar none the best veterinarian in the city. My wife and I were experiencing problems with our 3 year old Pomeranian/Pug cross, she was drinking excessive amounts of water and no matter how many times we would let her out during the day, she would have accidents. We couldn't for the life of us figure out why, so we brought her to Silverado Vet Clinic on the recommendation of a friend and we certainly were not disappointed. The Vet Tech staff were amazing and friendly, and quite knowledgeable, while the Vet herself (Dr. KD) had her suspicions of a diagnosis almost immediately after we described her symptoms. She took some of our dogs blood and sent it away for testing after telling us that she had suspected that Bear (Our dogs name) had developed diabetes. The test results came back swiftly, and we met with Dr. KD once again a few days later to go over them, and that they were stating that Bear was borderline diabetic. However this didn't stop the problem right away, and we continued to struggle with the symptoms. What I have to commend the entire vet about was how persistent and thorough they were through something that took a couple of months to get through. Going through countless vet visits, a couple of different types of insulin, and copious amounts of testing (Some of which required Bear to stay at the clinic for entire days). Not once did I ever feel as if we were a burden, or that our problem would not be solved. Never did I feel uncomfortable at the clinic, or uncomfortable with leaving our dog in the very capable hands of the staff and Dr. KD. In the end, everything was settled and our little fur-baby is much happier and healthier. I have to go in to pick up vials of insulin and needle heads every few weeks or so, and even when I'm not actually there for an appointment Dr. KD always inquires as to how Bear is doing and making sure that everything is still working just fine. If you're here reading this and looking for a reason to take your pet to this clinic, this should be all you need. Definitely a place where proper care is put before sales.

The first thought experience was good until 8 months later my dog had to be submitted for the same surgery on a tooth that Dr KD was paid to pull. She left over a inch of root inside his mouth and caused more damage. Will not recommend to any one and any one that's had her do dental work should get a second opinion. She refused to talk to me about it and had Chelsea talk on her behalf. They did not try and fix their problem and didn't care about my dogs well being

This place is awesome. Although a bit pricey I know my dog is taken care of. The staff really do love animals and like their job. When my dog boards with them they update me by email and phone. I've gotten VDO's of my dog from them showing how my dog is doing. Tomorrow I will bring in my dog to board with them for the 3rd time. Recently my dog had gotten really sick. Her conditions were pretty bad to the point that the doctor informed me that it's a 50:50 chance. The staff and doctor did everything they could and my dog pulled through. There were no surprises with the bills. I was informed daily of the fees of each test or procedure and they do make sure they get my consent first.

I drove around looking for the closest vet as I live around canyon meadows.. willow park closed - the nearest vet to my house - closed, one in acadia closed - finally I got to Silverado and they are open later - thank goodness. They took a look and gave him two shots and told me to just keep an eye on him but that he will probably be fine. The next day they called to make sure my little kitten was good.This is not the first time I have taken a cat to them and they have always called the next day to make sure things are getting better. The vet takes the time to explain things to you about what she plans on doing and even took the kitten out the room so I didn't have to watch the needles being inserted into the kitten (not a fan of needles). The staff is very friendly.

You know it's hard to find a vet that really cares. But the vet and staff at Silverado Vet Hospital really care. They are both compassionate and sensitive to both the feeling of their 4 legged patients and 2 legged owners. We have only had one serious problem and several small concerns with feline and canine members of our family. Any time we visited here we were confident that our pets were getting the best care found anywhere. I would have no problems recommending this pet hospital. They have our entire family's confidence and trust. Many thanks to all the members of the professional team there.

I have not had a dog since I was a kid. I recently adopted a pooch to keep us company. George ( I have no idea why we named him that) came with all his shots etc. But when he got sick( not dog sick, but real sick) after getting home from work(us not George). We didn't know what to do. Luckily a friend referred us to Silverado Vet. Luckily they were open late(until 8PM I think) and we got George their right away. The staff was very attentive and put us at ease right away. They were truly compassionate and took great care with George. To make a long story short and not bore you with details, they were able to nip what could have been a nasty situation. We are going to bring George in for a regular check ups. Many thanks to our new friends at Silverado Veterinary Hospital for taking such good care of our newest family member.

The staff are amazing she is hand-picked the most wonderful people to work with her and make up her most fantastic team. She truly is a caring giving woman. of her time of her energy of her personality you could not ask for a better veterinarian. She listens I am a breeder and she values what I have to say. She will never suggest something that she doesn't feel is a good plan. It's been an absolute pleasure to have her as my veterinarian and work together with her to bring beautiful puppies into the world. She has a good grasp on knowledge of what needs to be done. And the nice thing is she understands everyone loves their babies. Which is why she goes out of her way to make sure that she helps to take care of your pets as well as possible. Took my dog there for an eye surgery they said she needed due to a lot of what looked like puss coming out of one eye. They recommended both eyes be done so we went along with it to the tune of over1200.00. Three days later when taken back for a check were informed they had to redo the surgery on one eye, naturally we figured the original surgery was done by them they didn't do it correct the first time so should be no extra charge WELL were we wrong, went to pick up the dog and got tagged again for another 350.00. Seriously people talk to different vets before going their. One would figure they screwed up the first time they shouldn't charge to correct their mistake but it's obvious they are all about taking your hard earned dollar

She is AMAZING not only to my animal but she is also amazing and HONEST with me about everything. She doesn't charge you for things that your animal does not actually require, she voices her opinion and leaves the decision up to the owner of the animal. DR.KD saved me money by actually telling me their was nothing she can do for my dog that my dog required surgery. She also explains things in a way that us people who are not Vets can understand. Dr.KD does not discriminate against the breed of my animal and gives her lots of love when i come for appointments. I am so happy i was refereed to DR.KD and you will not be disappointed with her professionalism.

Dr. KD immediately stopped the procedure and unfortunately, Betty was not neutered. However, because of her diligence, Betty is still here with me. Anytime we come to Dr. KD, she offers truthful, straight - to - the point advice, and sometimes it's not what you want to hear, but it is what's needed. Most Veterinary clinics will BS there way to get you to come in, when your pup only needs some TLC. Dr. KD, upon my visit will tell me if this is even necessary and will turn me away if the service is not required, thus, saving money. Although I am on a budget, Betty's health is very important to me. I am a dedicated fur Mom and Dr. KD has shown un yielding professional service and I recommend her to anyone. Your pets can't tell you how their experience was when you leave them alone, so it is up to the parent to be diligent in finding the right Doctor. In this case, Dr. Kd takes the cake!

Well where do I begin about this clinic. I remember when I first brought my baby boy hugo. He was 14 weeks old and got step on a horse. I thought I was going to lose him until I brought him to KD. She and the beautiful vet techs chelsea and Kera didn't give up on him. I picked him up 6 hours later and still have him now. My female Willow May has hip problems until KD started giving her an injection every month and she runs around like a puppy again but is really 11 years old. Both my pups always get excited when we pull up at the clinic. KD is the true vet everyone dreams about because money comes second to her. Xo

Bar none the best veterinarian in the city. My wife and I were experiencing problems with our 3 year old Pomeranian/Pug cross, she was drinking excessive amounts of water and no matter how many times we would let her out during the day, she would have accidents. We couldn't for the life of us figure out why, so we brought her to Silverado Vet Clinic on the recommendation of a friend and we certainly were not disappointed. The Vet Tech staff were amazing and friendly, and quite knowledgeable, while the Vet herself (Dr. KD) had her suspicions of a diagnosis almost immediately after we described her symptoms. She took some of our dogs blood and sent it away for testing after telling us that she had suspected that Bear (Our dogs name) had developed diabetes. The test results came back swiftly, and we met with Dr. KD once again a few days later to go over them, and that they were stating that Bear was borderline diabetic. However this didn't stop the problem right away, and we continued to struggle with the symptoms. What I have to commend the entire vet about was how persistent and thorough they were through something that took a couple of months to get through. Going through countless vet visits, a couple of different types of insulin, and copious amounts of testing (Some of which required Bear to stay at the clinic for entire days). Not once did I ever feel as if we were a burden, or that our problem would not be solved. Never did I feel uncomfortable at the clinic, or uncomfortable with leaving our dog in the very capable hands of the staff and Dr. KD. In the end, everything was settled and our little fur-baby is much happier and healthier. I have to go in to pick up vials of insulin and needle heads every few weeks or so, and even when I'm not actually there for an appointment Dr. KD always inquires as to how Bear is doing and making sure that everything is still working just fine. If you're here reading this and looking for a reason to take your pet to this clinic, this should be all you need. Definitely a place where proper care is put before sales.

She left over a inch of root inside his mouth and caused more damage. Will not recommend to any one and any one that's had her do dental work should get a second opinion. She refused to talk to me about it and had Chelsea talk on her behalf. They did not try and fix their problem and didn't care about my dogs well being

This place is awesome. Although a bit pricey I know my dog is taken care of. The staff really do love animals and like their job. When my dog boards with them they update me by email and phone. I've gotten VDO's of my dog from them showing how my dog is doing. Tomorrow I will bring in my dog to board with them for the 3rd time. Recently my dog had gotten really sick. Her conditions were pretty bad to the point that the doctor informed me that it's a 50:50 chance. The staff and doctor did everything they could and my dog pulled through. There were no surprises with the bills. I was informed daily of the fees of each test or procedure and they do make sure they get my consent first.

I drove around looking for the closest vet as I live around canyon meadows.. willow park closed - the nearest vet to my house - closed, one in acadia closed - finally I got to Silverado and they are open later - thank goodness. They took a look and gave him two shots and told me to just keep an eye on him but that he will probably be fine. The next day they called to make sure my little kitten was good.This is not the first time I have taken a cat to them and they have always called the next day to make sure things are getting better. The vet takes the time to explain things to you about what she plans on doing and even took the kitten out the room so I didn't have to watch the needles being inserted into the kitten (not a fan of needles). The staff is very friendly.

You know it's hard to find a vet that really cares. But the vet and staff at Silverado Vet Hospital really care. They are both compassionate and sensitive to both the feeling of their 4 legged patients and 2 legged owners. We have only had one serious problem and several small concerns with feline and canine members of our family. Any time we visited here we were confident that our pets were getting the best care found anywhere. I would have no problems recommending this pet hospital. They have our entire family's confidence and trust. Many thanks to all the members of the professional team there.

I have not had a dog since I was a kid. I recently adopted a pooch to keep us company. George ( I have no idea why we named him that) came with all his shots etc. But when he got sick( not dog sick, but real sick) after getting home from work(us not George). We didn't know what to do. Luckily a friend referred us to Silverado Vet. Luckily they were open late(until 8PM I think) and we got George their right away. The staff was very attentive and put us at ease right away. They were truly compassionate and took great care with George. To make a long story short and not bore you with details, they were able to nip what could have been a nasty situation. We are going to bring George in for a regular check ups. Many thanks to our new friends at Silverado Veterinary Hospital for taking such good care of our newest family member.
