Please allow me to share a sad experience made better by the caring staff at South Trail Pet Hospital. See, a few weeks ago I had to put down my cat, Jewel. I knew it was time but I was more nervous of the experience I would have doing something so personal in a public setting around strangers...I didn't even let my girl come with. When I set up the appointment the receptionist was so friendly and very respect to the situation. She let me know exactly what to expect on the day of in detail so I would not surprised. On the day I came, it was may be just my good luck, but there were no other patients there. I could have not asked for anything more for my cat and myself. They took me in right away. The receptionist dealt with the paper work and payment before the veteran came in. Here is where I can say with all my heart Dr. Ken genuinely cared. He didn't once make me feel rushed me to leave, he talked to me like a friend, and as I turned to leave and close the door behind me he said something that made me know it was all going to be okay, he said, "Andreo, I'll take care of her like she was my own," and I could tell he meant it. With that I had the strength to walk out.
I cannot express how much I appreciate the staff for making that moment one that I can reflect on with a sense of closer instead of sadden. NOW, a few weeks later in the mail I received a beautifully crafted card with all the staff message and signatures. In addition, along with the card they sent separate cards with Jewels paw impressions, her name, and a little message as a keepsake.
So often we forget how the little thing mean everything, but they really do. Read Less
