Where can I start? I would recommend this office to anyone in search of a clinic that cares about pets and their owners. Dr. Emily is an incredible vet and we count ourselves lucky to have found her. This is a veterinarian who cares more about the well-being of her patients than she does about money or her own time. For example, we recently had the sad experience of having to put down our beloved kitty. When Dr. Emily called us to break the news, she told us that she would come in to do the procedure whenever we were ready, including on her day off (which is what it ended up being). She gave us time with our cat and did not rush us to get things "over with" so that she could go home for her day off. She provided us with many words of comfort during the procedure and was so kind and gentle with our cat. Our cat was always quite vicious at the vet, but she always spoke to her calmly and affectionately (where other vets have been very obvious that they didn't want to be holding our angry kitty). Even in times where it may have been easier (for her) to sedate our cat for procedures, Dr. Emily chose the route that would be more cost efficient for us. A couple weeks after putting our cat down, we received a lovely, hand written card from the entire staff of the clinic sending their condolences. Every single person wrote a personal message of comfort. This went above and beyond anything I could have expected. I could honestly go on and on, but the bottom line is, this clinic is amazing.

Yesterday was our first visit to have my dogs vaccines updated. First of all, they’re pretty well priced in my opinion, I called around to a couple vets and Southwood was among the more affordable. Second, the reception/nursing staff are delightful! They’re so happy and friendly and make you feel that your pet is very loved there, even on our first visit! They gave her a toy which made me happy and my dog loved it too. One of the nurses gave me a rundown on teeth brushing which was appreciated and Dr. Ames was so friendly, caring and informative. My dog is part of my family, and I felt she was in great hands here. Very pleased and will continue using this clinic and will recommend to all friends and family.

I had been super nervous when picking out a vet. But now that it came time to get our cat neutered I knew I had to get looking. After receiving a lovely review from my friend, I decided to check this place out. And I have been nothing but impressed since we got there.
Not only were the staff super friendly, they were helpful and informative too. It was a bit overwhelming with the amount of information that we did get, but I think that is a good thing. Cause they were able to answer every question that I had and helped my confusion. What really sold it was the fact that they didn't mind listening to the stories about our kitten. Not only that, but Dr. Harris was super understanding on our situation as our kitten was behind in his shots (Mainly cause we didn't know). Instead she just made sure everything was set up for him to get all of the needles he needed.
Also, if you are curious for pricing. They are really reasonable for all things considered. I was honestly expecting to pay way more.
Our kitten even got a welcome bag filled with treats, a toothbrush, chicken flavored toothpaste, and a toy for being a first time client.
I am very happy with my experience here so far and I am looking forward to bring our other cat here as well.

I had been super nervous when picking out a vet. But now that it came time to get our cat neutered I knew I had to get looking. After receiving a lovely review from my friend, I decided to check this place out. And I have been nothing but impressed since we got there.

Southwood Vet and all their staff are all amazing! Over the years when health concerns have come up with my dog. They have always been extremely caring and compassionate. My dog has had a lot of problems with his eye due to an injury. Nothing but the best treatment for him. He is almost 9 and we have been going there since he was a puppy for his first set of shots.They really know what they are doing. Their prices are very competitive.I would highly recommend Southwood Vet to anyone who loves their pets.

I have been bringing my dogs to Southwood for 14 years and I am always happy with the care that they receive. Dr. Bridget Harris is extremely knowledgable and caring, and I can't imagine entrusting the lives of my pets to anyone else (except for her colleague Dr. Erin Parchello who is also a fantastic vet - they make a great team!). The support staff and vet techs are also fabulous, and are great at answering my questions, and setting my mind at ease too. I have referred many of my friends and family to this clinic, and I will continue to do so!

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and questionable record keeping. I used to go to the Southwood animal hospital for a number of years and stopped going there in 2013 because they did not treat me very well at all and when my cat had an issue, they showed little compassion. They also wrote things that were not correct in my pet's file that could potentially make a difference in whether or not I'm covered by my insurance company. For example, they indicated in the file that there were potential digestive issues and when the issue was resolved as a food allergy, my insurance company indicated that there was no notation of that in the file. When I called Southwood to say I wanted to review my file, they argued with me and reminded me sarcastically that I hadn't been to their clinic since 2013 (it might have occurred to them that I was unhappy there).Since 2013, I have chosen instead to take my cat to Fish creek animal hospital. They have been wonderful at every visit. They don't speak to me with disrespect and they treat my fur baby like one of the family. They even managed to shorten her dental surgery appointment from one month to 6 days....because they cared enough to put in the extra hours to help her. If you are looking for a good Vet...go to Fish Creek animal hospital and, no matter where you go, it is good to get copies of what is written in the file on a regular basis...just in case.

I got my first dog when I was 17, and have owned many since in the short amount of years. I went to 6 different vets within the first 2 years of ownership. I did not know much, but I did not like any of those places. I was told about southwood through a sibling, and loved it. I started becoming very educated about dogs, and now make a living rehabilitating dogs. Many of my clients were kicked out of their vets, but southwood took them on with no issues. Thank you Bridget and Erin you are awesome.

Great service from great people! I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else, they are very thorough and treat your pet like their own. I can't recommend them enough, they will have my business for years to come.

My puppy Oh Henry was ran over by a car today. Southwood took him in Immediately and took care of him with lots of love. Thanks guys... Henry is on his way to recovery!

I have been bringing my dogs to Southwood for 14 years and I am always happy with the care that they receive. Dr. Bridget Harris is extremely knowledgable and caring, and I can't imagine entrusting the lives of my pets to anyone else (except for her colleague Dr. Erin Parchello who is also a fantastic vet - they make a great team!). The support staff and vet techs are also fabulous, and are great at answering my questions, and setting my mind at ease too. I have referred many of my friends and family to this clinic, and I will continue to do so!

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE and questionable record keeping. I used to go to the Southwood animal hospital for a number of years and stopped going there in 2013 because they did not treat me very well at all and when my cat had an issue, they showed little compassion. They also wrote things that were not correct in my pet's file that could potentially make a difference in whether or not I'm covered by my insurance company. For example, they indicated in the file that there were potential digestive issues and when the issue was resolved as a food allergy, my insurance company indicated that there was no notation of that in the file. When I called Southwood to say I wanted to review my file, they argued with me and reminded me sarcastically that I hadn't been to their clinic since 2013 (it might have occurred to them that I was unhappy there).Since 2013, I have chosen instead to take my cat to Fish creek animal hospital. They have been wonderful at every visit. They don't speak to me with disrespect and they treat my fur baby like one of the family. They even managed to shorten her dental surgery appointment from one month to 6 days....because they cared enough to put in the extra hours to help her. If you are looking for a good Vet...go to Fish Creek animal hospital and, no matter where you go, it is good to get copies of what is written in the file on a regular basis...just in case.

I got my first dog when I was 17, and have owned many since in the short amount of years. I went to 6 different vets within the first 2 years of ownership. I did not know much, but I did not like any of those places. I was told about southwood through a sibling, and loved it. I started becoming very educated about dogs, and now make a living rehabilitating dogs. Many of my clients were kicked out of their vets, but southwood took them on with no issues. Thank you Bridget and Erin you are awesome.

Staff are always friendly and knowledgable! They were especially helpful in giving tips and tricks to new fur parents like myself. I have never owned a pet before last year and I am so thankful for the wonderful team at Southwood Veterinary Hospital. They are always wanting extra cuddles with my pups before we leave; it's great knowing that they too are excited to see how the puppies grow.

I have been coming to this clinic for years. Both Vets are fantastic as is the support staff. You can't find better care at reasonable prices than you would here!
