I had been taking my dogs to the clinic for over 12 years. In December over the holidays we had to take our malamute to the emergency clinic for a spontaneously occurring limp, at which point he was given a diagnosis of an osteosarcoma (bone tumor) with poor prognosis. They sent the file to Crowfoot and they called us numerous times to check on his status. He wasn't doing well and it looked like his end was near so I called to try and make an appointment to have him put down, at which point they informed me I would have to also make a separate appointment for their doctor to check him out again and paying more $$$. I asked if that could be waived and was told no but I could take him to the emergency clinic we had ready visited. Appalled by their lack of compassion I quickly informed them we would not be returning to the clinic. I thought that was then end of it until this past week they again called us to check on our dog, who has surprisingly done very well and is still going. They wished to informed me that the dog needed his vaccinations and did I want to make an appointment? I relayed the previous interaction I had had with them and without an apology of any sorts they just asked me if they could close the file then? I told them yes to go ahead as after so many years I would never return. I understand it is a business like anything but I am very disturbed by their lack of compassion and tact in the situation especially as I am a healthcare worker and could never dream of treating someone the way they did in such an emotional situation.Read Less

I've taken my cats here for a decade and had wonderful experiences in the past. During the last 3 months we've dealt with staff that are so uncaring, rude, and unknowledgeable. I get different answers every time I phone in, and they never have stock. Everything has to be ordered in and I have to wait a day and drive all the way back there (for medicine, needles, food). The actual vet has been great, the rest of the staff have not! Their prices are quite high too, compared to other clinics in the NW. Read Less

I recently became a dog owner.  I had taken my cats to Crowfoot Vet for a couple years already, but not as often as my puppy needed to go. My recent experience with the reception staff and the Veterinarians confirmed my approval of this clinic.  The front staff is always pleasent, the other staff always come and say "hi", giving my pup a good scratch.  They have pictures up on the walls of the staff with their pets, it reassures you that they are owners too, that they love animals.  There is always at least 2 dogs behind the front desk, a cat here and there.  The check-up rooms are always clean.  The Doctors are always thourough and talk with you about your dog, not just at you.  When I had my dog nuetered I knew that he would be taken care of.  He loves people and they took an interest in him, which I am sure they do with all the animals coming though there.  We had no issues with his surgery, the incision looked great and healed well.  Their prices for visits and shots are reasonable.  The nutering was quite pricey, but we did pull out  all the stops, like extra pain meds, the infamous "cone" and a microchip.  They have a wall of toys for pets, as well as an extensive stock of Doctor recommended foods.  I have been nothing but pleased with their treatment of my pup and their friendliness to me.  I will definitely keep Crowfoot Vet as my go-to place for my pets! Read Less

Friendly, knowledgeable staff that are always willing to go the extra mile, whether it's for one of my own spoiled pooches or for a scared foster dog. We've been using Crowfoot for 9 years for both of our basset hounds, and the fact that both of them like going to the vet is probably the best slobbery endorsement they could get. Read Less

Highly recommend.  Dr Keith Wilkinson has our 100% complete trust.  He knows us and our animals by name.  Dr Keith is always very thorough, never rushed and so it is excellent value for our money when we pay the visit fee.  We appreciate how forthcoming Dr Keith is about costs and options for treatment when a health issue arises.  There are no surprises at check out.  The Staff is efficient and friendly. They always call to follow up after we've been in for concerns or surgery.  The hours are fantastic, next to a 24 hour hospital this is the most convenient clinic out there! Read Less

Dr. Steve is very competent and caring. I have autism (high level) and had no trouble understanding him; he was very direct. which I appreciate. My husband found him to be very competent and compassionate. Dr. Steve got back to us by phone several times and went above and beyond the call of duty. It meant a lot. The Crowfoot sent our family a beautiful flower when our dog died and it meant so much. The receptionists are kind and professional; it is obvious that they care. Thank you.Read Less

So far so good! I walked in for the first time, Montreal, Transplant...Everyone was polite and kind. My dog is going for surgery on Thursday. The doctor- with the Scottish accent, very very caring, great energy, will be operating on my little 6lb love. So... If I have enough confidence with this Doctor (Vet) to do my little one's surgery here and not fly back to Montreal... its a great sign.
