We have been coming here for almost 20 years - the staff is amazing! They have provided top-notch care to our 4 cats and 2 dogs over the years. They are always available and have helped us out with various emergencies. They are honest and never push their services on you. They provide you with the information and let you decide what to do. I had used several other veterinarians in the area before finding Dr. Sahi. I will never use another office. They are amazing! I highly recommend them! Read Less

Our dog needed emergency surgery and the staff and doctors went over and above to get us in quickly and efficiently. Took amazing care of our dog and were really reasonable with the fees. We are extremely grateful for everyone's efforts and would highly recommend this clinic!!! Read Less

First time going here, simply for a nail cutting. Explained that our dog didn't take to nail clippers very well, but the vet said it would be fine and just to help hold them. The first nail they cut, they cut into the quick quite far up. We got upset and had the vet stop the bleeding, and then he went to grab the clippers again. Not sure how they'd think either us or our dog would let him try again. We left and wouldn't ever go back. Had to stop the bleeding again that night and bandage around the nail. Will continue to monitor our poor puppy. Worst experience with a 'professional' ever. Read Less

My experience was very positive. Dr. Bik was very good with my cat whom I had brought in for shots. He explained the different vaccines thoroughly and made up a vaccine booklet for my records. The only downside was that I wasn't informed before I went that he also included an examination with the shots. I had taken our cat to a vet just before we .moved in May and didn't really think she needed one now. Overall a good experience. Read Less

I don’t know if leaving a good review nor a bad review would do due diligence. I’ve had mixed feelings and mixed appointments. Where everything’s great and then everything isn’t. It saves the trip to Calgary or Strathmore but it not by means cheap. Vet is knowledged but ignorant to needs of owner. It’s a hit or miss. Sometime my questions are answered an or completely revered. Taking a quick search to google resulted in a better explanation than those of the vets. Read Less

Bringing my dog to Fauna Animal Hospital was a very educational and positive experience. The Vet is very knowledgable and knows exactly what to prescribe your pet without breaking the bank. He assesses the problem and provides the best treatment at an affordable price. If your pet is sick and you need to go to a vet, then Fauna is the place you want to go. My dog has been on allergy medication for over a year now, at Fauna the vet recommended to go get a blood test done and figure out what the issue is rather then just masking it, the vet's goal is to find a treatment to solve the issue not just hide it! 5 STAR EXPERIENCE! The pros: The doctor here is obviously a big animal lover. Also, not only did he see my kitty the same day I came in with a concern, he also did a dental cleaning the same day when she was having eating issues. He offered me a discount on the dental procedure as a new customer which I really appreciated (even though, never having done this before, I have no point of comparison on the usual costs). The cons: I felt like he dismissed a lot of what I was saying. I said specifically that my cat is an indoor cat and had been dewormed as a kitten, but he completely ignored me and gave her a topical dewormer anyway, which (I feel) has caused her a lot of highly unnecessary discomfort as she's been foaming at the mouth with trying to get it off. He said it was for peace of mind but it's been anything but. The additional cost was seriously no picnic either considering I'd already spent a boatload on all of the other concerns. On top of this, he insisted that we buy specific food, Royal Canin, and that we stop feeding her Orijen. Even a cursory glance at the ingredients in both of these foods shows which is the superior brand. I've done a LOT of research and Orijen came up consistently as the most nutrient-rich food we could find. The whole thing felt really pushy and I definitely did not appreciate the upsell as I was already stressed out with everything. All in all I really did appreciate him getting her in so fast for the main concern, and his cheerful manner in doing so, but I'm not so sure this place is the right fit for me and will be trying elsewhere for the next concern. We took one of our cats in for it's regular checkup and the doctor showed us that she had very bad tartar buildup on her back teeth and cleaning would be required. He scheduled it for less than a week later. The price was fair and his compassion to animals is obvious. He explained the procedure as well as the required after surgery home care fully. We will continue to take our pets to Fauna and highly endorse this hospital. Read Less

My daughter was looking after our pets while we were out of town a couple of years ago. The cat had an infection that was getting worse, so she took him in to see this vet. Our Yorkie also had twisted his leg that morning so she had him looked at during the visit. The vet said that he had to anaesthetize and X-ray both the cat and dog to examine them. He said he had to do that to the cat in case it had a bullet inside him (??), although it was a wound from a cat fight. He also tried to convince my daughter to allow him to do surgery on the Yorkie for the pulled muscle. She said it wasn't her dog, so she didn't feel comfortable doing that. The dog recovered within two days of the visit so clearly surgery wasn't necessary. A few days later I was home and took them in for a follow-up visit and found him to be rude towards the women in the clinic and had no regard for the pets at all. He examined them and then shoved them aside. He spent the whole time trying to convince me of the great work he had done, how he had saved my cat's life by giving it an antiobiotic and a couple of sutures. The guy just gives off a really bad vibe and we will never take our pets to him again. Read Less

I want to give this vet a higher rating but I just can't. I will start off by saying the vet really does care about animals, you can see it by the way he acts with them - singing to them and calming them down. My golden retriever is terrified of the vet and he got on his hands and knees and spoke to her softly and pet her and examined her in the waiting room. He is GREAT with animals. I have stopped going here though because he is disorganized and slow, every time I go in I have to fill out a new patient form instead of him just looking us up in the computer. He has no receptionist, which adds to the delays. He very slowly adds all the animal information into the computer all the while my dog is getting more impatient. Once he does examine the dog his diagnosis and care for instructions are confusing and hard to understand. I brought both of my dogs in for eye infections and he only gave one dog medicine. However both dogs clearly had green goop coming out of their eyes. I insisted on medicine for both but he disagreed. So one dog got cured and the other didn't then the cured one caught the infection again. His prices are reasonable and he is a caring man but maybe I just like a tighter run ship. Either way we will go back to our other vet and just make the longer drive. Read Less
