I have 2 senior dogs, one who has multiple health problems, so frequent visits are a necessity. I transferred to this clinic because it is very close to home. In my multiple visits for exams, medication and food, I have received nothing but the best treatment from both the reception staff and the vets. Honest evaluations, no overcharging, and lots of helpful advice. I can call at any time with a request and they happily fulfill it as quickly as possible. I have taken my dogs to Animal Ark for years but recently I was extra pleased with them because they showed that they are honest and that they care and are NOT out take advantage of a concerned pet owner like some clinics. Recently I called Animal Ark because my dog had blood in her poop and after they asked me a few questions they told me that since the dog was active and lively I should just keep an eye on the situation and contact them if the condition continued or became worse. I am happy to report that my dog is fine now and I appreciate the fact that Animal Ark did not try to fear monger me into bringing my dog in for an unnecessary examination and stick me with a big bill. Brought in our budgie to get euthinsed (after much toil and pain deciding) and after we dropped her off the Dr. called to let me know that she was going to try to help our little friend. Do not ever take your animal-FAMILY here. I took my cat who old yes but no dignity was involved. He was so close to death and he just flopped his legs around said yeah he needs to be put down.. no remorse no nothing as my mother and i were balling our eyes out. I was very disappointed in my recent visit at Animal Ark.  I was there to have blood work done on my dog.  When the tests were completed, I was handed a piece of paper in the lobby - that was it!  No consult, no explanation about the results, nothing.  When I asked the receptionist about it, she called the vet to the lobby - he gave me a very sketchy, incoherent comment or two, basically nothing at all and I paid $145 for this service.  Not impressed!  What am I supposed to do with a piece of paper with a bunch of numbers on it, that I don't understand and haven't a clue what needs to be recognized.  I didn't know if there was a problem or not?!?!?!  I'm actually a little enraged by the treatment and service - SO IRRESPONSIBLE! Not impressed. Took dog in a year ago...kennel cough, no look into her heart murmur which as actually congestive heart failure, despite them knowing she had a serious heart murmur. Took her back in, out her on triple heart therapy but NOTHING for her cough. Phoned to get her prescription faxed over to Costco to refill, was told they would call me to confirm...that was 24 hours ago. They have not called yet. Not to worry though, I put my baby down, she had a seizure (which the vet said was normal only to find out after I brought her into. 24 hr vet that seizures were NOT normal for dogs with CHF) Do not recommend at all Read Less

Brought my dog in for a nail trim, had to switch vet clinics as I just moved. Never had an issue with old vet clinic and my dog is very anxious and high energy. When I told the vet he needed to be muzzled and would calm down the vet told me he did not have the proper face for a muzzle (he was muzzled at every nail appt at old clinic). I was then told to restrain him while they trimmed his nails and I am pregnant and had a young child with me. The technician did not help. They only completed 3/4 as I am not in proper condition to restrain a dog and was charged more than I was told on the phone for price. Will not be going back and telling all family and friends. Needed to find a vet for our skinny pig and Animal Ark was recommended. We received excellent service throughout his life. The vet always explained everything in layman's terms so we could understand. Took our 15 year old cat in today to get shaved and they called to ask if they could do urine samples and blood work, as she is getting quite thin. As well, when the skinny pig passed, they were extremely compassionate in our time of sorrow, helping us with an urn selection etc. They even washed our blankets we brought him in in. Read Less
