We have been with Bell Rive vet since 2007 when we rescued our dog. She has never been sick, except for and occasional ear infection, anal glad issue and one scratched cornea. In December, we took her in because she seemed to have developed a cough. The diagnosis after blood work was allergies. Prednisone prescribed with a humidifier going 24/7. The cough quieted but she was losing weight... fast. I had her weighed weekly and she continued to lose weight. Turning to the front-end staff for help they just shrugged their shoulders and said the Dr. would call. I got the call that evening, with the lecture on allergies, I should change her dog food, give her Pepcid AC. Dis-satisfied and very concerned, I searched for a second opinion. One chest x-ray later, diagnosis Lung cancer. My pet is now just a beautiful memory and we have a new vet! My response to their brush off....Sandra Ellis That is interesting as I continually asked your front end staff what I should do, I brought her in on a weekly basis because of weight loss? I knew something was wrong. I trusted you and all got was a allergy diagnosis....every time. I never said the coughing went away I said it calmed.
