Wife took our puppy just to get something to go with his food. we simply went because our new puppy had the runs and wanted to make sure he was ok. Vet said everything looked good and suddenly said "okay he seems healthy, we do blood now" and whisked him away without another word. After we hear him screaming, he comes out with his arm DRENCHED in blood. Vet basically bullied her and took him in for bloodwork that she did not want and then our puppy came back bleeding. Vet did not answer her questions at all and when she complained he threatened legal action if she didn't pay the full price he wanted to charge. Do not come here. I came here with my friend and her 7 week old puppy. She had gotten him at 7 pm the day before and he had a little bit of diarrhea and vomitted two times and when the vet was told that he assumed that this puppy had parvo and didnt ask to do blood tests just said he was going to do them and took the puppy into the back. After about 10 minutes of the puppy screaming the vet assistant brings him out with a fully bloody leg that at first glance looked like they shaved a layer of skin off of his leg however they didn't but you can imagine how much blood there was. The vet assistant repeatedly said "it's just from the needle" but most vet clinics will wrap the peg with a cotton ball if it's still bleeding. Also when the vet came out i asked him why he did the blood tests without asking if that is wjat my friend wanted and he flat out lied to my face saying that he asked her and she had said it was okay. Anyways in the end they charged us 315 dollars to tell us that the puppy didn't have parvo and that he was just stressed. This vet clinic is more interested in your money than it is in your pet. Had such a terrible experience. Lost my cat due to misdiagnosis. Found the staff to be completely unprofessional, lying to clients that apparently they said this and that...sent us home with improper medication. Insulting my mother, my family over social media. Your assistant took notes while I listed off events that had affected my cat, litter box being change, the Christmas tree going up with decorations which we found an ornament all matted up and the string of lights damaged. It's not my job to tell you to do yours. From the first exam it was because of stress, to the second exam now my cat is anemic. This assistant who is replying to the previous reviewer (My sister) is commenting as if she was in the room for the entire discussion between the vets and my family. When has an assistant ever stayed in the room while the vet was checking out the patient unless asked to. This isn't our regular vet as we just moved to the area however we received coupons for free dog food and $$ off from our vet as part of our puppy pack. Our regular vet is about an hour and 20 mins out of town so I called Clareview Casselman Pet Clinic to see if they would honour the coupons- and they did!!! Vet is a nitt-witt. Charged me for a urine test for my cat that wasn't carried out and would only give me future credit. No refund. $450 later,cat was just as sick. Took him to a real veterinarian. Cat better. Me $450 poorer. Don't waste your time or money. Spare your pet the disservice. Read Less

I took my little puppy to this clinic since she had been scratching her ears and there was redness. The receptionists were really friendly with my little girl and informed me about the fees for examination ahead of time. The doctor that took care of my girl was very careful and did a thorough examination. He told me that it was an ear infection, and explained to me how it could have started and how I can prevent it from occurring again. When he was cleaning her ears he made sure that she was not in severe pain and was very patient with her. The worst vet experience I have ever had. The only reason I had ever come here is because it's close to my home. Staff turnover is pretty high for this place, their computer hardware/software is very obviously out of date because it takes forever to put the transaction through their system. The prices are not as affordable for the average 1-2 income household as they advertise. I was quoted $180 to get my two cats examined and have their vaccines up to date, when I went to pay they told me I owed $340!!! Then after I declined the de-wormer (which was not necessary prior to or after this visit), the price dropped down to $260. When I mentioned (again) the price I was originally quoted, thankfully they honored it. The doctor their always tries to recommend tests/treatments that aren't always necessary as well. Long story short, go to a vet that is actually affordable and up to date with their hardware/software and has staff that has been their for a while. It's painfully clear that there is communication issues at this location and I would not go to this vet again unless it was absolutely necessary! The only reason I rated one star is because the ladies that work the front desk are always super nice to myself and my pets. Read Less

Took our puppy to this vet cuz she has been sick and not eating lost a bunch of weight to wher u can see all her ribs..so they want to keep her over night n charge 800$ for iv fluids xray blood work and misc meds and do exam that tells us she has no blockage in her stomach.. couldnt afford at the time so take her home n they give her wet food that say will help her get rehydrayted 5 days goes bye as she looked togebetter but then was back gettin sick so take her back to vet n get xrays and bloodwork that shown us ther was something in her stomach vet said looked lkke cotton n told us puppy didnt have much time and couldnt wait ..so we planned on ultra sound and surgery the next day ..so take time off work n wait for vet to call to come in and waited all day for them to tell us they couldnt do anything for us and wouldnt do surgery without ultrasound wich i called other vets and they said why they trying todo ultrasound if they can see stuff in her stomach and charge u alot of extra money ..it seemed like the onlything this vet cared about was there money n not helping out a puppy that might pass away..so we decided to go to another vet west edmonton animal hostipal wich they looked at her xrays n said ther was a wire in her stomach and other stuff n started ivfluids and planned a surgery the next morning without any question in money or trying for a ultra sound and are super caring for any pet that goes inther..so to say CASSELMAN VET is only care about money n charging for things ther is no need for so please dont take your pet here for serious issues please dont go....WEST EDMONTON ANIMAL HOSTIPAL IS THE PLACE TOGO I will never take any of my pets to casselman againRead Less

As a clinic we would like to address the last comment made about our clinic that was posted a week ago. A cat was brought to us that was hit by a car and came in open mouth breathing and unable to stand, walk, or move effectively. We stabilized the cat's condition by administering oxygen, pain medication and placed an IV catheter for fluids before proceeding to do some radio-graphs to see what was going on internally. Upon completion of these x-rays we were able to diagnose a broken pelvis. The vet went to the client to talk about options for the cat's recovery, stating that we could refer to a specialist or 24-hour facility that was better equipped to deal with emergencies as well as would be able to perform surgery to repair the pelvis and/or perform further diagnostics, we could send her home with pain medication to monitor the cat's condition with no promise of the outcome as a lot of symptoms from tragic events such as being hit by a car can occur up to 48 hours after the incident, or the last option, which was euthanasia. Upon discussing these options and much deliberation on the client's end, the decision to take the cat home with pain medication to monitor her condition was made. Unfortunately we are what is called a Primary Care Center and are not fully equipped to handle large emergencies, though we can provide primary care for such emergencies before you head to a specialist or 24 hour facility for further and more extensive care. As a vet clinic, we do not force clients to do any thing they don't want to or can't afford to do. We gave this client options and they chose to take the cat home to try and recover through strict cage rest and pain management. We were all very sorry to hear of the cat's passing and wish there would have been more we could do. As an added note, we had never seen a diabetic cat from this client, thus are unable to speak to the client's experience with this incident as it must have been done at another clinic. We encourage that if anyone feels as though they have had a bad experience with us to call us and let us know what we could have or should have done differently so that we can better ourselves in the future. Took my cat in a few weeks ago she had been hit by a car. Vet took xrays and said she had a broken hip and i should take her home to recover it would take 45 days. She had 2 seizures that night and passed away. Vet was more concerned about money then my cats well being never once recommended putting her down for her injuries. This isn't the first time hes done this to me regarding a cat either. Last yr my male cat was severely sick he looked him over and said he was diabetic and gave me meds that night i had to rush him to emergency to be put down. Save your money go to a vet who truly cares about your animals well being and not how deep your pocket book is.Read Less

What do I like about Clareview Casselman Pet Clinic? Well, what's not to like? Friendly and incredibly helpful staff. No question or concern is too small. (I've called a few times with little concerns and have never felt like I was being inconvenient... Which I have at other vets) Dr. Koshy is such a nice man and I can tell he truly loves animals... I am glad I found a vet I can trust and that I know looks out for the best interests of all my pets. I can't say enough good things about Laura either, who I think is the vet tech at the clinic. She is a true animal lover and really cares about her job and the clinic. She goes the extra mile, where many others don't. I received a handmade card in the mail after I had to put down our little guinea pig, which to some people "it's just a guinea pig"... Laura's card made me feel really good that someone recognizes even the tiniest of pets are part of the family. I found this clinic completely by accident, and am so thankful that I did.I will continue to travel from the south side to bring my dogs here, and recommend this vet to EVERYONE. Worth the drive. Horrible. Took out 14 week old puppy in a back room to do the exam behind closed doors. After hearing yelps and cries I yelled stop through the door and found out they were trying to muzzle her. I find it disgusting that anyone would try to muzzle a 14 week old puppy without the owner's permission and behind closed doors. The exam should have been done right in front of me and nothing should be performed without my consent.would not suggest to ANYONE. Read Less
