First visits are always filled with trepidation. Pets are special. To me they are like the kids I have. So when I walked into the Clinic and was met with a smile by Meghan the veterinarian assistant and Dr. Jackson I was set at ease. Fantastic service, open and informative communication about my cats condition, his diagnosis and prognosis and professional approach to future treatment. Dr Jackson is very knowledgeable and offers detail explanations and practical advice. Loved the conversation with him. His experience shows and instills confidence! Meghan offered detailed advice and explanations on medications. Front desk were very helpful and processed my claim once I filled out the form. Thanks guys for the splendid first visit. Chester and Chelsea are looking forward to future visits.

I have a lot of pets of all different kinds (10 in total) and in the past 2 months, I've visited this vet 5 times for 4 different pets (Cat, another cat, bunny, and bearded dragon). I've seen Jackson and Parks and they're both great with my animals.
Specially impressed about how they handle and understand the animals' behavior.
I've brought my cats to a different vet before and when they take blood and urine samples, they confine the cat which caused great stress.
At a that other vet, my boyfriend and I once heard our cat scream bloody murder which my bf then stormed into the back and my cat was masked and being restrained by actual restraints to hold him still, my boyfriend then took him and said "You guys are done with him", he was livid.
Couple weeks ago we brought that same cat to Currents and carefully listened while they took him to the back for blood and urine tests. There were a few annoyed meows but that's it.
So, that alone made me super happy. Also the results came very fast.
I was very surprised when a friend told me to bring my bearded dragon to Currents. I did not know they did reptiles too! Not a lot of vets in Edmonton do reptiles without charging you up the rear. So, my reptile vet bills are probably cut in half now that I found Currents.

I took my cat to see Dr Jackson because he was diagnosed with kidney disease and was still having weight loss issues. He was seen by another vet last week and she told me this was his problem and I was giving him fluids each day but noticed it didn't increase his appetite. Upon examination with Dr Jackson, he felt abdominal thickening. He recommended an ultrasound to rule out cancer and get a better diagnosis of why he was losing so much weight and no appetite. So glad I listened to him as my cat doesn't seem to have kidney issues but rather a possible Inflammaory bowel disease leading to pancreatitis which is quite painful. I asked the previous vet if he would be in pain and she said no. My poor cat suffered over a week with no pain meds because the previous vet missed the diagnosis. There are no words to describe how great Dr Jackson and his staff were in wanting to help me. He really loves animals and it shows. He cares about his patients and their owners. They fit me in because I was so concerned about my cat. I will be forever grateful and will now be taking my furry kids to see him in the future. I highly recommend this clinic because they truly care about your furry loved ones

We have been taking our pup here since we got her and have seen both Dr. Parks and Dr. Jackson a number of times. Every visit I am so impressed at how well my dog and I are treated. Both vets are fantastic. They're knowledgeable, friendly, and you can tell immediately that they are true animal lovers. They never rush you and are always willing to listen to whatever list of issues you've got. The facility is modern and clean, the entire staff is very friendly and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a vet.

If you live in Edmonton and need a reptile vet, look no further than Dr. Jackson at Currents Vet. Very professional, with lots of knowledge. They welcomed my input, follow-up was encouraged and pricing was fair for a brand new facility. I would suggest vets that aren't equipped to deal with reptiles think of Currents when referring people in the SW as the other choices can be a far and stressful drive for a sick lizard. My reptiles trust Dr. Jackson and the staff at Currents Vet but are thankful they haven't had to visit often.

Dr. Jackson and his staff are extremely nice and knowledgable. They had everything they need it to make a rapid and accurate diagnosis of my puppy. They explained everything I needed to know about my puppy's condition and made sure I understood the what, when, why and how of the medecine they were sending me home with. I'm so glad I have found this clinic they really do go above and beyond for their patients.

We have been taking our pup here since we got her and have seen both Dr. Parks and Dr. Jackson a number of times. Every visit I am so impressed at how well my dog and I are treated. Both vets are fantastic. They're knowledgeable, friendly, and you can tell immediately that they are true animal lovers. They never rush you and are always willing to listen to whatever list of issues you've got. The facility is modern and clean, the entire staff is very friendly and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a vet.

Thank you to the staff of Currents Veterinary Clinic. They were amazing. The kind and helpful staff and vet went above and beyond, when we brought in our injured baby tortoise. Dr. Jackson took the time to thoroughly exam her and then teach us to give her injections. She is doing better and well on the way to a full recovery.

If you live in Edmonton and need a reptile vet, look no further than Dr. Jackson at Currents Vet. Very professional, with lots of knowledge. They welcomed my input, follow-up was encouraged and pricing was fair for a brand new facility. I would suggest vets that aren't equipped to deal with reptiles think of Currents when referring people in the SW as the other choices can be a far and stressful drive for a sick lizard. My reptiles trust Dr. Jackson and the staff at Currents Vet but are thankful they haven't had to visit often.
