Vet at the emergency could not find the spot where the tooth was extracted, says there wasn't a tooth removed. So definitely a flap charge was u rip off..... Well I went my dog to check his eyes and the doctor Kumar said that he is going to need eyedrops. So far so good. Then the lady give me the bill for 125 dollars. I ask why and they said 65 dollars for exam, 20 dollars for 2 drops that the doctor put there and 35 dollars for the eyedrops. This guys are SUCK SUCK SUCK. They are thief and because they know that you love your dog they are going to rip you off. There is no way to bring my dog back to them. I hope to close his business soon and his family members get sick so the real doctors rip him off so to understand how it feels like.

We’ve been taking our three corgis to Dr. Kumar for several years and have always had very positive experiences with him and his staff. They are a very dedicated team; and as many others have commented, Dr. Kumar is always willing to go far beyond what is required. Consistently kind and patient with our dogs, Dr. Kumar’s treatment approach is logical, ethical, and collaborative; he makes a point of discussing everything with you, as the owner. The vet techs are quietly supportive and very knowledgeable, and always call to check on the progress of your pet after a visit. Their love of all animals is clearly communicated in the atmosphere of the clinic. I highly recommend Dr. Kumar and his staff!

I used to just go there to buy food, then this clinic accepted me in the evening near closing time when my dog had a seizure. The staff stayed late to help my dog and they didn't charge me any emergency fees! They were so compassionate and kind, and I have switched vets to make them the full time vet for all my pets.

They have the best team I ever had the chance to have 5 of my cats treated by. I completely trust Dr. Kumar. He treated my late cat until she passed away and my two new kittens. One of my cats has several ailments (hyperthyroidism and heart murmur) diagnosed now several years ago and is doing great. I don't have enough word to thank him and his team. They are both professional and humane. Too bad I moved because it was a team I could really count on and trust completely.

I have been taking my little senior rescue dog to Dr. Kumar for a few years now. He has always provided excellent care at a reasonable price. Today I had to say goodbye to my little guy and Dr. Kumar came to my home for the euthanasia. He was so compassionate and caring. I was so grateful. I totally recommend this clinic!

After having a bad experience with my last vet I was scared to try a new one.I actually met the staff from marketplace when they were having an open house. I found them to be really friendly and helpful. I knew my dog needed dental surgery so I ended up going there. Dr Kumar and the staff are awesome! The thing I like most is that they don't over charge you for irrelevant things. They are honest and don't turn your dogs small problems into a major and expensive vet bill. This was the issue I had with my last vet.So far my dog has had 2 dental surgeries and 1 check up/ shots there. They call you to let you know what is going on with your dog which I really appreciate. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a vet for their animals!

We are so thankful to Dr. Kumar and the Staff of Marketplace Animal Hospital who took wonderful care of Rush both medically and compassionately. Our 8 year old Siberian Huskey was not eating and throwing up. We had been with another nearby vet who showed no compassion and fortunately we took Rush home and did some online research and found Marketplace Animal Hospital. They took Rush in immediately and did appropriate test and x-ray and then an ultra sound which revealed a foreign object in his small intestines. Dr. Kumar accurately predicted it was likely something he swallowed and not a tumor. He did surgery that day and removed a peach pit. Rush recovered extremely well. The staff provided regular phone calls to give us updates and welcomed us into the office each time we came to visit. It is very obviously that they all care for your patients and their owners, which is something we did not experience with our previous vet. We will not hesitate for a moment to recommend Marketplace Animal Hospital to all of our family and friends.

He has saved the lives of two of my animals and he acts fast. He knows when an animal is in distress and will stop what he's doing in an emergency. Thank you Dr. Kumar

Dr. Kumar accurately predicted it was likely something he swallowed and not a tumor. He did surgery that day and removed a peach pit. Rush recovered extremely well. The staff provided regular phone calls to give us updates and welcomed us into the office each time we came to visit. It is very obviously that they all care for your patients and their owners, which is something we did not experience with our previous vet. We will not hesitate for a moment to recommend Marketplace Animal Hospital to all of our family and friends.

Absolutely the best veterinary hospital in Edmonton. Dr. Kumar and his support staff are an amazing group of people. Kumar is very good at what he does, and tells you how it is without a sugar coat. He has saved the lives of two of my animals and he acts fast. He knows when an animal is in distress and will stop what he's doing in an emergency. Thank you Dr. Kumar
