My fur baby, Mali, of 12 years, visited this clinic on February 12. After a thorough examination and an ultra-sound, the vet diagnosed her with terminal cancer. We had her euthanized on the 14th, to alleviate further pain and suffering. The staff and the vet were respectful, compassionate and very professional throughout this experience. They were quick to get my friends pet in but gave up way too easy when trying to give him ear drops for his ear infection and were quick to say he needed them when they couldn't get a look. The vet tech was called in to help and just kinda Sat there and pet the dog doing nothing to help. Read Less

A vet that is never shy around my bull breed dog and she always gets treated like a princess when she goes to visit. Although Sunrise is my main place to take my dog, I feel every vet has strengths and specialties. Ortho surgery for example is best recommended by a certified ortho surgeon. If you are looking for an affordable, caring and educated vet , who can give you the information to make a decision in regards to serious matters, Sunrise is a great place to go. The staff are very knowledgeable, welcoming and truly adore every pet that comes through the doors. What must be tedious work like paper work, transferring records and providing info that I have lost, is done in a timely manner and I have not ever had the feeling I was putting someone out with my requests. Needed to do Rabies and DAPP three year period vaccination for my two dogs. Called several vet clinic in order to get the cost. Got an average price per dog $125-145 + GST except for the Sunrise Animal Hospital which quoted $85 + GST. Since it was significantly lower repeated my question again. "Are you sure that the cost for three year period Rabies and DAPP vaccination is $85" Natasha from Sunrise confirmed. Scheduled an appointment and did vaccinations for both dog. Paid $85+GST for each dog including $65 for DAPP and $20 for Rabies ....Looked at the receipt DAPP vaccination was for ONE YEAR only!!! Asked Natasha why not for three years as I requested . Answer: "We don't do three years DAPP at this clinic" Dear Natasha, if you don't do, why you misinformed your client. Shame on you and your vet hospital. The price for three year DAPP vaccination at other clinics is $85. I asked you twice!!! If you told me that you don't do three years I will go somewhere else. Lying to your clients in order to lure them to your hospital will result in the mistrust like it happened in my case. It will also bring a bad reputation to your hospital. I love going here the vets are amazing! But I would like to point out that the receptionist wasn't very friendly, I think they need to learn how to be alittle more up beat and patient with their customers, especially with young children. Read Less

We have a good amount of work done yearly with our 3 cats and 2 dogs. While we are there we feel we are getting the best advice and care from staff and doctors. We would recommend this hospital to anyone. Always nice to have the doctors call with lab results ! Read Less

From the first visit with our new puppy on wards I didn't like the feeling that the vets were in it for the business and then the animals second. I feel as though it's all about money and not the animals. Gave then the benefit of the doubt amd went back. Same feeling. I am currently Looking for a new vet. DO NOT GO HERE! my dog was extremely ill. They misdiagnosed him (way off the mark) and told me to euthanize immediately. I paid for tests that were not sent away until days later when I pressured them about results and they were still sitting on the desk. Most clinics now have in house blood testing. When the one vet went to give him a needle she broke it in his leg and caused him horrible pain and additional distress. Thank God I went elsewhere for a second opinion. Huge waste of time and money for me going here. He had a minor issue and was completely fine 3 days later after treatment elsewhere. Read Less
