Love their holistic approach to veterinary care, Dr. Sheri Lund always takes a very calm approach and understands that for some dogs the vet has been perhaps a traumatic experience and works to create safe and calm environments for my dog each time we come. She was pivotal in his recovery after double elbow dysplasia surgery, and gave him some alternative treatments and recommended some great products and physical exercises to get him to the strong strapping young lad he is today. Many thanks to Town Center Veterinary Clinic for making it possible for my Golden Doodle, Buddy-Lynn to be able to walk again. Back in 2010, suddenly one day, she could not walk anymore. After a week in the hospital and several thousand dollars later, the Vet said to pick a day to put her down as there's nothing more they could do for her. She was only two years old and her eyes said it's not time yet. A friend told me about the Millwoods clinic, so my Son and I took her there. Sherry and Nuran spent over an hour assessing her condition, and time did not matter to them. They too, were not sure why she couldn't walk and suggested trying acupuncture. I still get teary eyed thinking about Buddy's amazing journey. She truly is my Angel pooch. No matter how long the treatments took, the price never increased. Everyone there is so awesome, Myrna and all the staff and Vets are super. They really care about people and their pets. After about three months, Buddy was able to walk again. Very wobbly at first, and now she is 9 years old and has been living life to the fullest on borrowed time for the last 7 years, and hopefully many more to come. She knows she's a lucky girl and our whole family is so grateful that we found this wonderful clinic. The drive is an hour each way, and we would never go anywhere else. They are the best in town! I brought my cat Jager in a few months back to try acupuncture since she was unable to walk. I thought it was just bad arthritis but Dr.Niran Sabanathan suspected it was neurological. Jager was unable to tell where the leg was and kept dragging it and falling over. After the first treatment there was a 90% change in her leg. She was walking again with a limp, but she was able to stand and walk without falling over. Dr. Sabanathan was very gentle with her and explained to us everything we could expect - best and worst case. We were able to spend about 2 more months with Jager, where with treatments she could walk and be her happy self. Unfortunately she was diagnosed with Stage 3 kidney disease, her leg failed her and acupuncture couldn't help her this time. This is not my regular vet but they still send a condolence card and made a donation in Jager's name. I am forever grateful for Dr Sabanathan and staff for giving me an extra 2 months with the best cat there ever was.Read Less

I have a 3 pd Yorkie that has had spasms for the last year. I brought Lexi here to have cranial sacral therapy. At first I thought it was unreasonable to have to pay for exam before the therapy especially when we had to send all her records. Boy was I mistaken. My husband and I were very impressed that dr. A huge heartfelt thank you to the entire team at Town Centre Veterinary Hospital. The care and treatment we have received over the past 8.5 years has been extraordinary for both Ace and Samba. We have always been treated not just as clients but we truly feel like family. Not only do they look after our fur babies but they look after us, their human owners too. We've always been treated with honesty, kindness, and compassion. We were referred to Town Centre Vet because of the Alternative treatments (acupuncture, manual therapies) available for Ace for a pinched nerve he suffered from in his neck (injury at birth) and in the past year we have come monthly to help manage his arthritis in his back along with other concerns. In fact, they are so good that Ace would actually be HAPPY to go to the vet and break out in "Shiba Song" in the car on the way there when he would realize what direction we were going. He always felt so good after a treatment! Not only was it the treatments that made him feel good but it was all the love and affection he received. Numerous times I thought he wouldn't even notice if I left him there ;) Of course, he was always able to melt hearts and get extra treats when he put on his best dance moves and charmed everyone with his smile...so spoiled! <3 I was completely blown away this week to see and feel the love they truly have for their clients. This week we had to do what was best for Ace and make the most difficult decision that pet owners ever have to face. Can I just say Dr. Niran Sabanathan is wonderful? Took my dear sweet Finn in today for a follow up to complications resulting from a bug bite on his nose as well as his yearly exam. Dr. Sabanathan got down on the floor with Finn and checked him over paying special attention to his healing wounds and teeth - much to the discomfort of Finn who HATES having his mouth looked at - even more now with all that went on with his nose. What really made me happy was when Dr. Sabanathan sat back and just sat there for a few minutes letting Finn come to him for some pets. He actually took the time to let Finn calm down and relax. He didn't just get him in, get him out - y'know? The staff have always been really wonderful here. It's not fancy, but they more than make up for it with heart and compassion. I have 3 rescued greyhounds that I regularly bring to the clinic. We have been going to TCVH for over 10 years now. Our dogs always receive the best care possible. The staff are all polite and caring and truly put your pets comfort and needs first. The vets are all very knowledgeable and thorough. Our greyhounds have had some very unusual injuries and the vets have always found the very best treatments and care for them. We also utilize the alternative therapies for our dogs. The homeopathic remedies have been excellent for treating chronic ailments. I can't recommend this clinic enough!! Read Less

I brought my senior small dog here earlier this year for an exam when my regular vet at another clinic was out of town. We saw Dr. Carol Kujala. My dog is 14 years old and have been in and out of vet clinics her whole life due to some genetic health problems. Never once have I gotten back a traumatized dog, but this one single time has traumatized my poor dog to the point where she now has a fear of people, including myself, touching her at the back of her neck. Why is that? Because Dr. Kujala and her staff roughly scruffed her to do the exam. She was so scared, she even pooped herself. That has NEVER happened before in our 14 years of vet visits. I will never bring any of my pets back here because of the way they rough handled my senior dog. At the very least, they should have asked me if that would be okay - I don't have a puppy, I have a senior dog who has arthritis and other joint pain. I am still appalled at what I witnessed and I regret bringing her here - had I known this would happen, I would have waited until my own vet came back. Months later, I am still trying to fix the trauma damage that was done in just one visit. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this clinic because of the staff. P.S. I should add that my dog is only 5 lbs. Read Less

I don't know where to start when talking about TCVH. We've been taking all our pets to them since they opened in their first location. If you have pets or are thinking of getting one, look no further if you want the best care possible for your new family member. We did go to one place that was cheaper when we were "shopping around" but that was almost a fatal choice. Once we found TCVH, we knew no one else would do. The medical care is beyond exemplary. We know that whatever problem Mandy has, & she's had plenty of them over 8 yrs, her best chance is with them. Even though she's been through so much, she's always happy to go back; she loves it there & she knows they're only trying to make her feel better. I could write a small book about my many experiences at TCV, but the staff at this clinic go above and beyond for their patients and clients. My dog, Oswald, has been a repeat visitor to the clinic for all of his almost 7 years and every time we come in were given awesome service. The staff love him and he loves going there. I can always count on them to make us feel comfortable and confident in the treatments we choose. Tonight, I had to call at 5 minutes to closing time to ask if I should take him in to the emergency vet (post-surgery infection). They said if I could get there right away they would see him. They stayed an extra hour and washed him up and re-bandaged him and reassured me that things will heal up. Just amazing! Read Less

TCVH is the best vet clinic in YEG. I have a Sphynx cat that is very prone to illnesses and who has strange quirks that can get him in trouble (like chewing plants etc). I've taken him there his whole life and I have always received amazing care. The vets and vet techs all take the time to get to know you and your animal, and when you bring them in for a check up they're always happy to see them! My cat can be a bit of a pain and very high strung but they're always able to calm him down and check on him. He always recovers from his allergies and illnesses because they know their stuff.I really love this clinic and appreciate how great the staff are. It looks like most of us have been coming here for years! \They also sell prescription diet here for anyone who has pets that eat that brand. I know it can be a pain to find sometimes! Read Less
