When it was time to say goodbye to a beloved member of our family, Dr. Daryl Megar and his vet technician Erin went above and beyond to make one of the hardest days of our lives a little more comfortable.
I mean it when I say that every precaution was taken to ensure that our Rottweiler Romeo was comfortable and free from anxiety or discomfort in his final moments. Daryl and Erin are no stranger to our lovable lug and have treated with him with love and care for almost ten years. It meant a lot to see the genuine emotion on their faces as well as our own – they didn’t want him to go, either.
The procedure was not rushed, and we were all given time to say our goodbyes - even when some of us weren’t as ready as we thought. I feel it’s also important to note that this day would have happened five years ago– as, in his younger years, Romeo had a rare disease that was difficult to detect and treat. However, Dr. Megar figured it out and helped give us five more years with our best friend, and for that, we’re incredibly grateful.
To Daryl and Erin, although I can only speculate, I assume you went into the veterinary discipline because you loved animals and wanted to make a difference in their lives and the lives of those who love them. If that is the case, as far as our family and Romeo are concerned, you have succeeded by every measure. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. To everyone else, you owe it to yourself and your companions to choose Dr. Daryl Megar and his staff of passionate professionals at Whitemud Creek Veterinary Clinic. Read Less
