I and my pet dog Daisy are fairly new clients of the Whitemud Crossing Animal Hospital. But even during this relatively short time, I have been very impressed at the fine service it has provided us. The expertise is superlative; the information we receive is extremely thorough, the treatment of our Daisy has been careful, deliberate and always accompanied by clear information. The Vet, Dr Toor, who attended us has been kind, gentle and effective with our pet, as well as thorough in all aspects, allowing me to feel we are in the best of hands. The technical and other staff are very courteous, friendly, helpful, thorough, and very respectful of one's time and punctuality. The clinic is clean, attractive, and inviting. We have had dogs before, but it has been many years, and this is our first encounter with the Whitemud Crossing Animal Hospital. As per the above, we have been very impressed and pleased, and recommend this clinic and its staff to anyone who wants the best treatment possible for their beloved pets, which are so much an important aspect of our lives.

Dr Shilton not only took advantage of seniors for a money grab, he also hung up on them when they were discussing their unhappiness with their vet visit a week ago. The family pup has not been doing well the past few weeks, dropped significant weight. It doesn't take a vet license to see that this family pet didn't have long to live. Instead of advising otherwise, he went on with charging them for unnecessary shots. So the vet bill was 200. And now have to spend another 400 to put the pet down a week after their vet visit. I have called the vet and left a message and have yet to hear back. Great ethics.

You should be able to trust your vet to have your pets best interest but he only cares about ripping people off and giving unnecessary treatments to your pet!! We've worked with countless vets through rescues, and the pets we have.... And Dr Shilton is by far the worst of them all!! He won't even have a conversation with you once he's done ripping you off!

We are totally satisfied with Whitemud Crossing Animal-Hospital. The staff are very good with both pets and us humans. Our cat who was so traumatized by his injuries etc was wild on his first visit and now he is relaxed and seems to enjoy his visit to see Drs and staff. Their recommendations and followup are excellent.
I believe the animals know when they are treated right.

I am so happy with this place!Our precious vet came highly recommended, but was almost impossible to get in with. I brought my puppy in to whitemud crossing with a bladder infection and the service was great! The doctor was very kind and gentle with my puppy who was in pain and a little afraid of him. The office was also fantastic on following up promptly with my pet insurance claim form and even submitted it for me!Today I called in because Gator probably ate something bad and has an upset stomach. They were super friendly, helpful and professional over the phone and offered for the doctor to call me if I couldn't bring Gator in myself.Top notch. Love this place

best service! I'm a single mother and I'm on medical assistance right now I have no other income.
My cat was in a really bad way when we took her in. This is a cat I've had for 14 years. I was there when she was born and she's a part of our family. She was the only one who helped me through my horrible labor. Never once leaving my side. We've been through a lot together. So when I wasn't sure I could pay for her care and worried what was going to happen to her. I was amazed and relieved that the whitemud crossing animal hospital could help her right away. And that their cost of care was lower then other places I tried.
I truly believe I got the best help here. The staff was wonderful and really helped calm me from a very stressful situation.

Dr Shilton, in one word, is amazing. I've met many vets that are caring and really show their love for animals through their work, and he is no exception. His staff are all competent and helpful. I've never received an ounce of rudeness from any of them. The facility itself is always clean. We receive follow up emails for all of our visits (something I've never actually experienced with a vet before), including our first initial visit which was on a whim. They do not push the more expensive options, as long as it is not urgent. Overall, I'm happy I found Dr. Shilton and his wonderful staff.

Highest regards for this clinic. They bent over backwards to fit us in three times during my stay with emergency visits. A fantastic combination of professionalism, caring and thoroughness. Excellent vet! We have only recently started going with our new kitten and had a recent incident where he had an ulcer on his eye. Dr Shiltonimmediately said it should be taken to the hospital with more equipment. When I initially called panicked they had us booked within a couple of hours. Our initial visit was great and he really took the time to explain everything including which shots and why. I would highly recommend to anyone.

I really enjoy this vet. He always offers more than 1 option for solutions to your pets problems (instead of jumping to the most invasive and therefore most expensive solution). He is never pushy with treatment options and leaves the final decision to you. He also gave me a payment plan option for my cat's oral surgery. He also always follows up with a phone call to make sure your pet is doing well. His staff is always friendly and the clinic is always spotless! I will not take my cat anywhere else!

The Vet, Dr Toor, who attended us has been kind, gentle and effective with our pet, as well as thorough in all aspects, allowing me to feel we are in the best of hands. The technical and other staff are very courteous, friendly, helpful, thorough, and very respectful of one's time and punctuality. The clinic is clean, attractive, and inviting. We have had dogs before, but it has been many years, and this is our first encounter with the Whitemud Crossing Animal Hospital. As per the above, we have been very impressed and pleased, and recommend this clinic and its staff to anyone who wants the best treatment possible for their beloved pets, which are so much an important aspect of our lives.

Dr Shilton not only took advantage of seniors for a money grab, he also hung up on them when they were discussing their unhappiness with their vet visit a week ago. The family pup has not been doing well the past few weeks, dropped significant weight. It doesn't take a vet license to see that this family pet didn't have long to live. Instead of advising otherwise, he went on with charging them for unnecessary shots. So the vet bill was 200. And now have to spend another 400 to put the pet down a week after their vet visit. I have called the vet and left a message and have yet to hear back. Great ethics.

You should be able to trust your vet to have your pets best interest but he only cares about ripping people off and giving unnecessary treatments to your pet!! We've worked with countless vets through rescues, and the pets we have.... And Dr Shilton is by far the worst of them all!! He won't even have a conversation with you once he's done ripping you off!

Our cat who was so traumatized by his injuries etc was wild on his first visit and now he is relaxed and seems to enjoy his visit to see Drs and staff. Their recommendations and followup are excellent.
I believe the animals know when they are treated right.

I am so happy with this place!Our precious vet came highly recommended, but was almost impossible to get in with. I brought my puppy in to whitemud crossing with a bladder infection and the service was great! The doctor was very kind and gentle with my puppy who was in pain and a little afraid of him. The office was also fantastic on following up promptly with my pet insurance claim form and even submitted it for me!Today I called in because Gator probably ate something bad and has an upset stomach. They were super friendly, helpful and professional over the phone and offered for the doctor to call me if I couldn't bring Gator in myself.Top notch. Love this place

best service! I'm a single mother and I'm on medical assistance right now I have no other income.
My cat was in a really bad way when we took her in. This is a cat I've had for 14 years. I was there when she was born and she's a part of our family. She was the only one who helped me through my horrible labor. Never once leaving my side. We've been through a lot together. So when I wasn't sure I could pay for her care and worried what was going to happen to her. I was amazed and relieved that the whitemud crossing animal hospital could help her right away. And that their cost of care was lower then other places I tried.
I truly believe I got the best help here. The staff was wonderful and really helped calm me from a very stressful situation.

Dr Shilton, in one word, is amazing. I've met many vets that are caring and really show their love for animals through their work, and he is no exception. His staff are all competent and helpful. I've never received an ounce of rudeness from any of them. The facility itself is always clean. We receive follow up emails for all of our visits (something I've never actually experienced with a vet before), including our first initial visit which was on a whim. They do not push the more expensive options, as long as it is not urgent. Overall, I'm happy I found Dr. Shilton and his wonderful staff.

They are an incredible vet clinic. Although I was born and raised in Edmonton I have been living in Calgary 37 years. However I was back in Edmonton for 17 months and Dr. Shilton looked after my dog. Highest regards for this clinic. They bent over backwards to fit us in three times during my stay with emergency visits. A fantastic combination of professionalism, caring and thoroughness. Such a great Vet !!!! The fees were very fair too.

Excellent vet! We have only recently started going with our new kitten and had a recent incident where he had an ulcer on his eye. Dr Shiltonimmediately said it should be taken to the hospital with more equipment. When I initially called panicked they had us booked within a couple of hours. Our initial visit was great and he really took the time to explain everything including which shots and why. I would highly recommend to anyone.

He also always follows up with a phone call to make sure your pet is doing well. His staff is always friendly and the clinic is always spotless! I will not take my cat anywhere else!
