Our sweet girl golden retriever that is our whole life ended up with spleen cancer and was getting to the point that she had enough. My girl lily was taken to a vet in stony plain for all her appointments over her 10 years. I phoned and told the girl at the desk that my girl was in trouble and could you please have the vet contact me As soon as possible because i had to put her down. No return call ! I phoned dr fryer and explained my situation and she met me and my wife after hours at her clinic. She was so kind and caring with us and our lily she took her time and helped us through this difficult time. What a wonderful old school vet that isnt just after the money thanks dr fryer you will always be remembered in our hearts. Read Less

Dr. Fryer and her wonderful staff are truly amazing and I cannot give them enough credit for how healthy my pack of animals are. This is a truly great vet who cares as much as you do for your pets. The care they provide always goes above and beyond, and they are worth every penny and more. Thank you so much, Milo definitely appreciates it (and so do I!) Read Less

I have been taking all of my ' fur babies' here, since moving to the area 3 yrs ago.I highly recommend Dr. Fryer and her staff, they are very kind, compassionate and genuine. A year ago my Best Friend and companion Bart had been diagnosed with a very rare condition. We tried everything to save him, Dr. Fryer had no problems trying to treat him and realizing that he needed an ER. She had them ready and waiting for us upon arrival, in Edmonton. She also kept in very close contact on his condition. Late one evening it was apparent that, Bart was not doing well at all. At home he was unable to get proper oxygen and had seized. I was alone at home with him, on a farm with no vehicle. When Dr Fryer called, I was in tears almost unable to speak. She and her husband took the time to rush to help my boy. Unfortunatly he was just too sick and we made the decision to let him go. I was beyond consoling at this time, but the Dr and her husband were very kind a sincere with trying to comfort me over my loss.I now have another pup who unfortunatly has a bowel disease, that has required many visits to the vet. He is very well cared for by the staff and Dr Fryer. They are very knowledgable and highly helpful whether on the phone giving advise (free of charge) or in person. I've never been told to run expensive or unnecessary tests. It is unfortunate that the previous reviewer had a bad experience. I would not hesitate to have my fur babies treated here, by the fabulous and knowledgeable staff. Read Less

So i give one star only for their emergency response. Our dog was having breathing issues so we ran her in without calling or anything. They took her quickly and put her on oxygen. They took xrays and basically told us that she had something lodged in her throat causing inflammation and distress. She never got into anything she could have swallowed. We were discussing doing a tracheotomy and emergency surgeries and talking about putting a 13year old dog with breathing issues under anesthetic (which is 80% of the time a fatal combination). She improved on medication and was released. We immediately took her to her regular vet for a second assesmebt and turns out she has an upper respiratory infection and will be fine on meds. So we gave this vet clinic $400 for oxygen. Meds and a couple xrays and they gave us crap advice and tried to "treat" the issue with something that is potentially fatal because they cant even diagnose an upper respiratory infection. Dont risk your pets health. Read Less
