Dr Meghan Shields and Dr Krista Gavel were the attending doctors of my family dog. A dental clinic in Calgary was charging us $5000.00 for the tooth extractions We were given 2 choices to go through with tooth extractions or put him to sleep. If we don’t decide by the next day the dentist in Calgary will do a report on animal rights on us The night before we have to decide we went for second opinion if they know a dentist for dogs that has a reasonable price that we can afford and they suggested Highview Animal Clinic I called in the next morning and they took us in right away. Dr Meghan Shields gave us hope and I felt that Yom will be in the right hands this time . Thank you to Dr Gavel . She gave my family dog a second chance to live with no more pain again. Jayden followed up after the next day the price was very reasonable and the care that they give is outstanding. More power to your team I hope there will be more veterinary’ hospitals that operate like you guys. You have compassion and dedication to the work that you do.

I've taken my dog here a couple times and while I think they are great if you have insurance, if you are paying out of pocket, take everything they say with a grain of salt. Every single time I went I heard that it could be nothing serious or it could be cancer. And that we should test for cancer just in case. Surprise! It wasn't cancer, just an infection.
Edit: they do give you an estimate of cost and it is certainly more reasonable than Calgary prices. After experiencing other staff at the clinic I've concluded at least one vet is better at presenting options and explainations than the other. The staff were very caring during our recent visit and I was thankful for them. I've changed my star rating from 2 to 4 and updated this review as a result.

I took my dog to Highview Animal Clinic because he had broken and tooth that was rotting in the end they removed 4 teeth that were broken and decayed. From the initial visit with Krista and follow-up after the surgery the care we received was professional and the detail provided on the procedure was exceptional. We will continue to drive from Calgary to utilize Highview Animal Clinic.

Amazing clinic, I have used a few different vets in the past and switch to this clinic a couple of years ago. They always explain all of my options (in plain language) and the difference in cost and effectiveness before I make any decisions. This is huge having a dog with allergies! At previous clinics I was always given the most expensive option first and was made to feel like this was the only option. Since switching to Highview my dog is healthy and happy and not putting a drain on my pocket!
This clinic treats you like family! I would highly recommend anyone who loves their pets like family switch to this clinic.

Now that I know how amazing the laser surgery is for spay and neuter, I wouldn't do anything else. It is like they have already healed for 2 weeks! Incredible. I feel very confidant that they take as good a care of them as I do.

I've taken my dog here a couple times and while I think they are great if you have insurance, if you are paying out of pocket, take everything they say with a grain of salt. Every single time I went I heard that it could be nothing serious or it could be cancer. And that we should test for cancer just in case. Surprise! It wasn't cancer, just an infection.
