Dr Fisher was great, she was working hard to figure out what was wrong with my pup who was rather sickly up to 2 years of age. The only issue I had was with the front reception desk staff. During my last visit Dr. Fisher said there was more tests to be done, Don't bother paying the bill right now and come back the next time your pup has a flare up which according to pattern would be prior to 30 days because tests needed to be done during this flare up. So I aggreed and off I went. I thought Dr. Fisher was so good I recommended this vet clinic to my friend of mine for her dog. 3 weeks after I had left form my last appiontment she was at LVH with her dog. When she went in to get him the lady at the front desk refused to turn her dog over stating because she was a friend of mine and I han't paid my bill right away they would hold on to her dog until I paid. So I get a very unhappy phone call at work. I explained Dr.Fisher cleared this it was an ongoing investigation if you will into my dogs condition she said pay after next visit (30 days) plus the bill statement from them states a % will be added on after 30 days which I was fine with. Front desk didn't care, didn't check with Dr. Fisher so I gave them my credit card info over the phone and they returned my friends dog. It was never a lack of money it was simply this is happening every 30 days we need to catch it mid flare up come back then pay later so I wouldn't be paying the consult fee each time. Anyways I Never went back and now attend a new vet for last 2 years. My friend also moved vets the next day after this event. Read Less

Well so far Dr. Fisher has been wonderful and she appears to be quite knowledgeable about things in general. The best part is she actually took the time to research my breed of dog - a maremma - before I went in to see her the first time, which most vets would never do. Her bedside manner is truly second to none and she seems to have genuine empathy and a sense of caring you don't always see in the field of veterinary medicine. Kudos to all of the wonderful folks at LVH! Read Less

I had been dealing with this Veterinary Hospital for years 15 in fact, my concern is this they do not have after hours or weekend Vets on call for emergencies for small animals.I had a medical emergency with my pet on a weekend  I was  S.O.L., they have no on call Vets for small animals. When you phone you will get a recording that directs you to a Vet Hospital in Edmonton, at one time they did have after hour services  that is why I switched from another Animal Clinic. My case in point....I had an emergency with my pet dog on a weekend and was unable to reach anyone, I drove to Edmonton to see another vet, thinking that after my pets files could be transferred to this Hospital to continue on with his care....I called the office during weekday hours and spoke to Scott a vet explained the situation and that my dog would need a blood test ( as it was confirmed in Edmonton my dog had hypothyroidism and with the treatment he would require additional undated blood work) he advised me  he would have Dr. Casper contact me that was 2 months ago and I am still waiting.I got the distinct impression that because I took my dog to Edmonton (as per their after hour telephone message) they would no longer continue his care...I am very disappointed. That after 15 years of going to this office they would treat their patients like this and I would have to continue his care in Edmonton..... Up to that point I had no issues with this business. My only wish is that Vets today cared as much for their patients, as owners cared for their pets who are willing to pay the ridiculous prices they charge even after hours.
