Southside Veterinary Clinic

General Info
The Southside Veterinary Clinic is a strictly small animal facility catering to basic wellness care and minor surgery in partnership with the Lloydminster Animal Hospital. We have tried to create a convenient "homey" atmosphere to go along with our philosophy that pets are family and should be treated in a caring, comfortable environment. We have one doctor on a rotational basis staffing the Clinic and have different hours from the Animal Hospital to try and accommodate our clients' needs. Patients requiring advanced diagnostics and treament, or overnight care will be referred to the Lloydminster Animal Hospital. All emergency calls will be routed through the Lloydminster Animal Hospital.
It is our commitment to provide quality veterinary care throughout the life of your pet. Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy pets and early detection and treatment of disease as your pet gets older.
We understand the special role your pet plays in your family and are dedicated to becoming a partner in your pet's health care. We treat your pet as we would our own. Our goal is to practice the highest quality medicine and surgery with compassion and an emphasis on client education. Our entire healthcare team is committed to providing personal attention to the unique concerns of each individual pet owner.

I can’t say enough great things about south side. They were always there to help my family out with our dog Scooter from the first day we brought him to the last. No matter what vet we saw they were always so knowledgeable and kind. I was always comfortable leaving my dog in all of their capable hands for anything he needed.

This is my dogs clinic. I have taken my Nova here 3 times and not once did we have any problems, i see dogs on videos not liking to go the vet but Nova, i have never seen a dog that loved going to the vet more than her. They welcomed her from the very first time they saw her, they always treat us very kindly. Nova never wants to leave. They absolutely love her, and the feeling is definitely mutual!

I have taken my Nova here 3 times and not once did we have any problems, i see dogs on videos not liking to go the vet but Nova, i have never seen a dog that loved going to the vet more than her. They welcomed her from the very first time they saw her, they always treat us very kindly. Nova never wants to leave. They absolutely love her, and the feeling is definitely mutual!

We brought both of our cats in, in one day, to get them fixed. They were very friendly, efficient and caring. We had both of them back by 5 that night. They gave us the info we needed to make sure they healed right. They even called me a few days later to see how they were doing. I would hands down bring any other pets we have to them. They are amazing.

In the past I have had to take my cats in on an emergency basis and the response to see a vet and to get treatment was immediate. I now have one older cat and take him in for his routine appointments or if something else comes up.
Staff are very professional and also very approachable and very caring
I highly recommend this clinic and would not hesitate to take any animals there

We have been bringing our 2 dogs to the clinic for a few years now and have always had excellent care. The staff remember us and what we usually buy for our dogs when we show up. They always ask how Bandit & Smokey are doing, especially after they both had to have back/neck surgery in Edmonton. Whenever one or the other has had to have dental work done they have let me drop him off before work even thought they weren't officially open yet. If it's a followup visit or a visit for something new everyone is very helpful.

Just wanted to shout out a huge thank you to Dr Becky Newman and her tech, Pat. These ladies came to our house March 9th, in the evening to put down our dog. Our 16yr old Mocha was a part of our family and when we told Becky that we knew it was time, she was amazing. She made sure we were ready, explained everything and did everything at our pace. They made an unbearable situation as easy as it could be. We've been to two of the major vet places during Mocha's lifetime. We have never had such better care than at Southside Veterinary Clinic. Dr Newman and her staff have showed so much compassion for our pet, from the moment we met. Thank you Dr Newman. You are a Rockstar and we were so lucky to have had you as Mocha's vet.

All our pets have come to this clinic, and we couldn't be happier with the warm and compassionate, professional treatment we always receive. The vets have always gone above and beyond to ensure our pets are truly cared for, and not just medicated. The after hours answering service has saved us a couple of terrifying long nights, and we couldn't be more grateful. Thank you Southside!
