My husband and I have an almost 13 year old Bichon Cross by the name of Pudding. We moved here from Calgary about 5 years ago and kept our Vet in Calgary because we are there regularly but we always bought food from Crossroads and were impressed by the front office staff and the atmosphere. Recently, our furry child developed some health concerns and we drove to Calgary. Our usual Vet at Calgary North was unavailable and we met someone new. Dr. Singh was wonderful and performed surgery on Miss Pudding. As luck would have it Dr. Singh indicated that while he appreciated our loyalty to Calgary North, he also could confidently make a referral to a Vet in Medicine Hat. I was a little reluctant to step outside the comfortable bubble and known surroundings of the place we had been going to for almost 13 years but was relieved to here that the referral was to Crossroads, a place that we were somewhat already familiar with. Dr. Singh and Dr. Gupta were in communication, and when I made my initial call for an appointment Amy was very helpful and set up a quick appointment. As I said, the front of the clinic was very familiar but it was with immense relief that I found that the work that goes on behind the scenes is even more impressive than their new renovations! The vet tech, who's name I didn't get (I'm sorry! - I was so worried and distracted) was personable and friendly. Dr. Gupta is wonderful. He took the time to explain the why's and how's of the procedure to me, he was reassuring when I was teary, and he was clearly very skilled and knowledgeable. My husband and I are so grateful for the referral as Pudding will now require somewhat regular blood and urine tests and we will not have to be running up and down the highway to Calgary. In consultation with Dr. Gupta and Dr. Singh we are confident that a protocol that is the best for Pudding will be worked out. The communication between the Vets is something that is clearly above and beyond what my husband and I could have ever expected. We are so very (very!) grateful. When we came in the day after Pudding's procedure and were inquiring about new food that Pudding will need because of her kidney's, Dr. Gupta came out from the back and met my husband and spoke to both of us. He, again, had the same kind and compassionate manner while offering us his expertise. Let me be clear: My husband and I believe in quality not quantity for Pudding and be it a week, month, year or however long we will have her with us we will feel blessed that we have this team of professionals standing strong and walking beside us in this journey. In gratitude we thank you. Read Less
