Dr Fruson & his staff are always friendly, kind, & gentle. All of my fur babies go 2 see them. I have 2 senior Golden Retrievers (which have been going 2 him since they were babies) & a new addition puppy. They love & care for their patients like they are one of their own. Always available if you have questions or concerns about your pets health.

We took our English Bulldog puppy to Dr Fruson with a suspected elongated soft palate. Dr Fruson confirmed this but then also diagnosed him with Megaesophagus without so much as a test. He then proceeded to tell us the soft palate surgery and stenotic nares correction which he also needed would cost '$2500 and up'. And said if he got in there and 'found what he suspected' he would he would stop the surgery and 'have the talk' with us (talk us into putting him down). His whole attitude was totally anti-bulldog. He slammed the breed; he slammed the breeder (who is wonderful by the way). He diagnosed him with 'deformities' - droopy bottom eyelids and an underbite - NO KIDDING!! - HE'S A BULLDOG! We ended up taking him to Wetaskiwin Animal Clinic to a wonderful vet, Dr Hilary (our breeders vet), who fixed him up good as new (for $750!). He does NOT have Megaesophagus by the way! And even if he had - this condition is totally MANAGABLE, which was not even mentioned by Dr Fruson. I was devastated after the consultation with this vet, with no foundation to his diagnosis. And it seems to be the opinion of most people that their pricing is RIDICULOUS. It was clear to us it was all about the money and his narcissism! How many people has he talked into putting their dogs down unnecessarily? No thanks! Steer clear!!

Took our English Bulldog 10 month old puppy to this vet as he was regurgitating food and seemed to have issues with his breathing. He diagnosed him with every possible brachycephalic problem possible, without so much as one test! He quoted $2500 and up to widen his nostrils and shorten his elongated soft palate. And then said if he found what he was sure he would during surgery that he would stop the surgery and 'have the talk' with us. Meaning he would suggest we put him down. We took him to a Bulldog vet in Wetaskiwin and they did a simple surgery (for $750) and he's as good as new! This man was a total narcissist who obviously had a negative attitude towards brachycephalic breeds. It was disgusting! STEER CLEAR!! Not only does he not have a clue - but he'll rape you for money in the process! Disgusting!!!

Highly recommended! First off no other vet would even look at my dog since we were not patients with them (our vet recently retired) but his wonderful receptionist fit us in with no questions. Once he came into the room he did nothing but try to make us feel included and comfortable with the whole exam of my dog. I have never had a vet be so thorough with me about my dogs issue and was very gentle and compassionate with my fur baby. Was more then adamant to follow up with him via email or phone on how my dogs infection is healing and not to hesitate to come in or call if I had any further concerns or questions. He also took the time to include my son and talk sports which I heard non stop about the rest of the day. Such a great experience and can't wait for him to become my animals only health care provider. Thank you so much 😊

Highly recommended. Vet gave us a quick and accurate diagnosis so we could do what we needed to do for our cat. Their prices were reasonable and they showed great compassion for our old kitty cat. Obviously skilled and dedicated to providing great care. Offered several options for treatment and went above and beyond for our sake.

Dr Frusen is an amazing vet. I took my pet in to him after being very ill and seeing 2 other vets. The other vets took x rays and proceeded to tell me the dog had the flu and nothing was blocking the intestinal track. 2 days later my dog was staring death in the face and Dr Frusen recognized an anomaly within the stomach on a cellphone taken x ray. He removed the foreign body the next day and my dog is well on its way to recovery. Thank you guys for being such an amazing clinic!

I was outraged that the amount of money charged for simple blood work and X-rays! Our regular vet was over booked and couldn't possibly see our dog so in desperation we brought our dog to The Ridge. Not once was there any mention of how much anything would cost and no prices posted anywhere. After being a pet owner for 13 years and having numerous trips to the vet we have never paid over $200 for X-rays and blood work so to be told our bill was $626 was mind boggling. There are many wonderful caring vets out there that will care for your animals without robbing you blind.

Very competent and compassionate vet and staff. This was the third vet I took my dog to and the first to figure out what was wrong. They actually treat my dog like he's important. They cared that he was in pain. Cost a little more at the start but in the end got way more than I expected. I am very glad I found this vet clinic.

Highly recommended! First off no other vet would even look at my dog since we were not patients with them (our vet recently retired) but his wonderful receptionist fit us in with no questions. Once he came into the room he did nothing but try to make us feel included and comfortable with the whole exam of my dog. Dr Frusen is an amazing vet. I took my pet in to him after being very ill and seeing 2 other vets. I was outraged that the amount of money charged for simple blood work and X-rays! Our regular vet was over booked and couldn't possibly see our dog so in desperation we brought our dog to The Ridge. Not once was there any mention of how much anything would cost and no prices posted anywhere. Very competent and compassionate vet and staff. This was the third vet I took my dog to and the first to figure out what was wrong. They actually treat my dog like he's important. They cared that he was in pain. Cost a little more at the start but in the end got way more than I expected. I am very glad I found this vet clinic.
