Yesterday-Friday Nov 24/ 2020 we had a 3.30 appointment to take our 2 elderly beautiful Chihuahua's to Nanton to have them go to doggy heaven together, as that is where they belong. Jennie was in pain even tho she was on a high medication of (Metacam and Gabapentine). Joey was deaf and very disorientated and had other issues , and was only a matter of time. They spent over 13 years together, and Joey was always there for his half sister. We had a special room with soft blankets for Jenni and Joey to sit on, while Dr Steve gave them a sedative to really relax them. After about 20 minutes the staff came in and took our dogs out to put in a needle into their vein on their front paw. They came back with them after a few minutes and left them with us for a while. They explained everything to us and how it would go down, in a very compassionate and kind way. Finally Dr Steve DeGraff came in and at the same time he pushed the drug into our little darlings vein, and just a few seconds they were gone. But just before the final drug Jenni reached up and licked Kris's nose, mommy I love you !!! Wow- so hard to do this. I am 74 and this is my first experience with having to put down family members ! Thank you all at The Nanton Veterinarian Clinic for understanding and being so kind to Kris and I. I know this is long winded but I had to say what I felt. These beautiful pets will be in my heart till death.

I was very pleased with the professional care that my pets received at this clinic. It was very clear that the vet had my pets (3) best interest at heart. I will definitely use their services again.

Amazing care for our little dog. Did things that most, if not all, vet clinics would charge for but they did for free (ex. cleaned her teeth while she was under for surgery). We drive well over an hour just to go here. The entire staff took the time to explain things and were extremely kind with us and our pet. Very cost efficient as well. They definitely try and see things from the pet owner's point of view and it is greatly appreciated. Worth the drive!

Over the last couple of months we have had to put 3 of our 4 pets to sleep. Everyone has been great with us and our pets. With that being said there is one person who stands out the most that is Aleisha. She is the first person I spoke to when we started going there. Last weekend it was her day off and we were putting our dog and cat of 15 yrs to sleep, Aleisha came in to the clinic to see us. I don't have the words to thank Aleisha, she went over and above. We were so touched by her kindness.
I can't say enough good things about the Nanton Veterinary Clinic. We have been going to the clinic since Sept 2017. They are so caring in regards to the animals as well as the owners.
We live in Calgary and would not consider going to a Vet in Calgary where the offices are so clinical and they don't seem to care as much.

We just reasonably had Joey ( a 12 year old 10 lb Chihuahua ) with very bad breath and many loose teeth to this Nanton Veterinary Clinic . It was only a 40 minute drive south of Calgary. We are so glad we used this office. He had 14 teeth removed plus putting him on a drip to help his liver infection, from his bad teeth.The price they charged me was so reasonable compared to many calls I had made in Calgary. They would get 10 stars from me, not just this 5 !!! Love you all out there.

Cannot say enough good things about everybody at the Nanton Veterinary Clinic. They took us on short notice, did more work than they charged us for and were happy, polite and informative during the whole process.
It's an hour from where we live but for anything our dogs need we'll make the drive from now on.

Needed 2 of my puppies examined in a fairly urgent way, but was not able to pay for a week. They would not look at them without cash up front. These little guys just needed some help and the Vet refused. Yet, you see all over Facebook, various Vets and people flying down to Mexico or wherever, at there own cost, to rescue animals, but when somebody right here in Alberta Canada needs help, NO WAY!! Thank you very much, it's nice to know how the Veterinarian really thinks about the well being of the animals they treat or don't treat in my case.

My cat, Seti, is 21.5 yrs old. We have lived in several places across Canada. I just want to say that hands down, the caring and service provided by the doctors and staff at the Nanton Veterinary Clinic is the best I have ever experienced. Seti just had surgery to remove a tumour. She is very old, and a timid and anxious cat when outside of her home. In order to make this experience as least stressful as possible for her, Dr. Rhodes let me stay with her while the pre-surgical sedation set in. She simply grew sleepy, and fell asleep curled up in my lap, without major anxiety. I waited in an exam room while she was in surgery. As soon as she was out, staff led me to a back room, where I could sit with her and help her recover from the general anesthetic. She was on a heating pad, and hooked up to IV fluids to help her kidneys flush out the drugs she had been given (she has kidney disease). My presence calmed her immediately, and she was not anxious as she recovered. I absolutely believe that allowing me to be with her during sedation and during recovery greatly contributed to a successful outcome for a risky surgery at her age. THANK YOU THANK YOU. I may get the cold shoulder for a few days, but my companion is still be my side. I HIGHLY recommend the Nanton Veterinary Clinic. Small town caring at it's best!!!!

Recently, my husband and I had to undergo a very heartbreaking experience. We decided that it was time to let our little 16 year old Bichon Frise "Kasper" leave us and make her journey to Rainbow Bridge. At this time, I would like to commend Dr. Mike Rhodes and his staff at the Nanton Veterinary Clinic for the compassion and empathy that was shown to us and Kasper during this journey. Dr. Rhodes was totally amazing with us and our puppy. Heather from Mountain Meadows Crematorium was also very sympathetic and caring. It was good to know that our Kasper was treated with such respect and dignity. We sincerely appreciate all they have done to make our loss a bit easier. Because of this, we feel that the Nanton Vet Clinic and Mountain Meadows Crematorium definitely deserve a 5+ star rating - their services are above and beyond. I've been to the clinic for numerous occasions and have always been welcomed and treated very well. Not to mention the excellent care of my fur babies! From emergency cases to helping assist in the caring for my geriatric cats. The Nanton vet has been by my side and always kept me informed with what was going on. Not to mention taking the cheaper route if possible instead of assuming the worse and diving into expensive surgery. They have an amazing team of vets as well as vet techs and I very much appreciate the hard efforts put forth by all of them. The love and devotion they have for pets is unreal. I reccomend them to everyone, including people from Calgary!

Yesterday-Friday Nov 24/ 2020 we had a 3.30 appointment to take our 2 elderly beautiful Chihuahua's to Nanton to have them go to doggy heaven together, as that is where they belong. Jennie was in pain even tho she was on a high medication of (Metacam and Gabapentine). Joey was deaf and very disorientated and had other issues , and was only a matter of time. Amazing care for our little dog. Did things that most, if not all, vet clinics would charge for but they did for free (ex. cleaned her teeth while she was under for surgery). Over the last couple of months we have had to put 3 of our 4 pets to sleep. Everyone has been great with us and our pets. We are so glad we used this office. Cannot say enough good things about everybody at the Nanton Veterinary Clinic. They took us on short notice, did more work than they charged us for and were happy, polite and informative during the whole process.
It's an hour from where we live but for anything our dogs need we'll make the drive from now on.

Needed 2 of my puppies examined in a fairly urgent way, but was not able to pay for a week. They would not look at them without cash up front. These little guys just needed some help and the Vet refused. Yet, you see all over Facebook, various Vets and people flying down to Mexico or wherever, at there own cost, to rescue animals, but when somebody right here in Alberta Canada needs help, NO WAY!! I just want to say that hands down, the caring and service provided by the doctors and staff at the Nanton Veterinary Clinic is the best I have ever experienced. I've been to the clinic for numerous occasions and have always been welcomed and treated very well. Not to mention the excellent care of my fur babies!
