This is our go-to emergency vet, as it is closest, which thankfully we haven't had to use yet. But, our other experiences here have been fabulous! They are great about ordering food for my doggo - it was super easy to send them a message on messenger, and it was ready to pick up when I came into town. Both Rocky (my 6 year old GSD) and Charlie (my 5 year old cat) have been into this clinic for routine check-ups and vaccinations within the last week as well as seeking treatment for a serious eye infection for Rocky. Both were treated by Dr. Kelsey Shacker. The professionalism and demeanor displayed by the staff of this clinic was excellent on all levels during both appointments and the clinic itself is clean and professional while maintaining an inviting and relaxed atmosphere. At no time was I made to feel rushed or pressured and my companions were handled and treated superbly (even when we had to retrieve Charlie from behind the couch - lol). Dr Shacker was patient, personable and very informative and most importantly from my perspective; she listened and projected a genuine interest in understanding the history and issues with my companions even though she understood I was likely 'just passing through'. She ensured I was comfortable and informed in regards to Rocky's treatment and allowed me to feel that I was part of the process. Where possible she discussed options and offered insights allowing me to come up with the most viable treatment scenarios for our situation. I have worked with many Veterinarians and clinics under a variety of circumstances both professionally and personally and this practice and especially the staff rate up there along side the best of them. this vet clinic does not care about your animal went there with my bernese mountain dog twice. She was scratching and itching her hair out they told me to call if it worsened, she developed a nasty bald oozing patch called a hot spot and when I called to bring her back in they said they were booked and could not see her till tomorrow. if left the spot doubles in size and gets horribly worse. if you see this vet I hope they have time for your emergency. I was first introduced to this vet when I was passing through olds traveling a few years back. I stayed in town over night a realized my cat that was traveling with me was sick.. When I moved here a couple years later I continued to bring my pets to them. They are fantastic and hands down the best vet we have ever been too. My cats love the vet and the other staff. And they are very comforting when I had to put one of my kitties to sleep. All around I always have a great experience here. Read Less

The support staff and locum veterinarian were very sensitive to the euthanization of my beloved pet. They treated us with sensitivity and compassion. I look forward to giving this clinic my future business. The facilities do not have that overwhelming bleach and cleaning products smell that most clinics do. When Chinook(my 1 yo pup) and I get out of the truck at the vets office, she gets sooo excited. It is by far one of her favorite places to go! The staff are so friendly and helpful. I moved back to Calgary and I still take Chinook there. We make the trip because its totally worth it! I will not go to another vet because the quality here is the best I have ever experienced. Just a heads-up for anyone who may be thinking of Puppy Classes: Penny is AWESOME! Our 3 month old puppy "Bernie" has done beautifully with Penny's instruction. She works with you and your puppy to find out what you want to get out of the course and then takes one-on-one time during the classes to give you tips on how to train. We've had such fun, and it's so great to see the little fella playing hard with other puppies-not just picking on our dear old girl Laila It's also great to have a trainer that works right through our vet clinic.. We had concerns about our border collie Max acting unlike himself following an abdominal surgery he had a few days ago. Dr. Donszelmann met us at the door after hours. She explained to us step by step everything that she was checking out and assured us that his behavior was nothing unexpected after surgery. She also gave excellent instructions on what to look for in the next few days and what too do about any problems should they occur. I think this is the best clinic I've been to since I moved to Alberta. Every other clinic seemed to be interested in how much money they could gouge out of me for unnecessary procedures and fancy products. I have 4 cats (recently 5), and I can't afford a $1500 check up for each pet. That's reality. I even took my one sick kitty to Montana for surgery before hearing about this clinic because of the cost difference. But here, the prices are very reasonable and the staff take as much time as you need to figure out options, discuss cases etc. They were fantastic when my poor cat had to be put down recently and made a great paw imprint for me. You can tell they are concerned about the animals and not just making a quick buck for no reason and I appreciate that. Sorry guys, I tried to post on Google but it wouldn't work!! Amazing! We've never gotten anything but the best treatment. The staff and the vets are always so good with our animals and with us as well. They never talk to us like we're unintelligent, which we really appreciate. They're all so knowledgeable and very willing to give their opinions on what is best for the animals and for us.
