Hands down the best vets around. My dog was attacked pretty bad , the vet was SINCERELY concerned. Took his time explaining EVERYTHING To me didn't just reccomend surgeries and stuff that cost money gave me HONEST opinions . The girls in the front were also super concerned and friendly . I have been to vets in b.c and all over alberta and piper creek by 1000 miles is the best . I am a over paranoid person with my dogs and I would trust my animals life in there hands .

Have always taken our 4 pets to Piper Creek. Although the receptionist have never had the best customer service, the vets there have always been amazing. Yesterday when faced with a life threatening emergency with our dog we loaded him in our vehicle and raced to Piper Creek. On arrival I was hysterical and asked the girls at the front for help with my dog. I told them I think he is dying. They wasted precious time looking him up in their computer and then they said "sorry you dont have an appointment and we have no openings". I was absolutley shocked. I could not believe what I was being told. I stormed out. By the time I got to another clinic it was to late and our boy had passed away. I beg everyone who reads this to never take your pets to Piper Creek Vet Clinic. They are incredibly inconsiderate. It was apparent to me yesterday that they DO NOT care for animals the way they claim to. My three remaining pets will never step foot in that clinic again.

Took my dog here to get neutered and everything went well then I started getting a little concerned about his stitches as they were red and looked irritated, when I picked him up they told me they can always take a look, so I called and te receptionist told me I’d have to pay for the exam fee and I tried to explain that he was neutered there and was told I would need to pay the exam fee anyways. I later got an email from the doctor explaining that he can take a look for no charge as that’s what I was told when I picked him up and it was a surgery check up preformed there. Because of the resolution I decided to give it another shot and I sent my dog in to get a bump on his head looked at, he went in and emptied the wound as it turned out to be a cyst. I was given antibiotics and told to book a surgery for within the next 10 days. So I sent him in and was told everything went well (a big relief) and I got him home. He was pooped so I let him be for a little but I looked at him today and the cyst I was told they would be operating on had not been touched. I wasn’t aware of anything else on his head but this incision was waaay to close to his face for the cyst they squeezed the first time. They operated on something I had no idea about. Will be calling on Monday and probably update the review after.

Dr Greg Linnell is our favourite Veterinarian. We started bringing our little fur babies to him about 10 years ago. He's honest and straightforward. He remembers our dogs and us everytime we come in.
One time we took our dog in to get some dental work. Dr Linnell did a checkup in the morning (which had a quote) and performed the surgery in the afternoon (which required numerous tooth extractions). A few teeth were worse off then initially expected. Because it wasn't part of the initial quote, he dealt with those teeth free of charge.
Would highly recommend Dr Linnell to anyone with a pet.

The old saying holds true , you really do get what you pay for . Our breeder recommended this vet to us for a spay . We were not looking forward to the 6 hours of driving there and back over 2 days but wanted to use who came recommended , trusted her opinion, and liked that they would monitor overnight. My husband drove her in , she stayed overnight and when he picked her up she was bleeding all over the floor , so much it started to pool. Apparently, she got her cone off overnight and got at her stitches - we assumed she would have been closely supervised , as she would have been at home. They took her back and applied some glue to get it closed back up. So at this point I’m not overly impressed but understand that things happen. Today I noticed that her spay certificate had the incorrect birthday and age so I call to have it corrected only to be questioned why I need it and that they don’t normally send them . Now I’m mad , simply asking for a correction to an official document and your giving me a hard time when I’m already stressed out about my dog to begin with . Needless to say we will not be back.

Well I decided to try this place even though some bad reviews seem validated. My call was answered and I was asked "do you mind holding?" . My reply was "yes", though I did mean I didn't mind holding the person didnt even question it. After almost 5 minutes of no reply I figured why even bother. A good and well run company should respond to all reviews, not just the good ones. Lots other vets out there. See ya!

They are very efficient, caring, and knowledgeable. They take the time to talk to you and interact with your pet. I've tried a couple of other places in Red Deer that were more rushed, more expensive, and less caring. My dog is safe with any and all vets and staff at Piper Creek. She has now been going 8 years or so out of her 10 year life.

Took my new kitten to Piper Creek for his first vet appointment. I was very impressed with the veterinarian, he was kind, knowledgeable and seemed to genuinely care about my kitten's health. The lady at the front desk however, was less than pleasant. I was several minutes late for my appointment due to an accident on the highway, had tried calling the clinic to inform them I'd be late but kept getting "user busy" on my phone and couldn't reach them. Once I got there, the lady at the desk was rude and very short with me. Being late due to a situation I couldn't control, I guess I expected a little more understanding. Not a great first impression! Likely won't be going back.

We have been taking our 2 dogs and 2 cats to Piper Creek for the last 6 years and We have had nothing but great service,. They really do care about the pets and have never overcharged us for anything....
We have been taking our 2 dogs and 2 cats to Piper Creek for the last 6 years and We have had nothing but great service,. They really do care about the pets and have never overcharged us for anything. Also, the vet there has given us other options to save money if need be. Anytime we had a question we can call and they will answer the best they can. My dog had an allergic reaction one summer, and the vet didn't charge me at all to see him and get him in right away. When we got our pets fixed, they called to let us know once the procedure was done, and also called to check up on them after. I wouldn't take our babies anywhere else. We're very happy with them!

I recommended this clinic to my friend, as I had a great experience with Dr. Linnell in the past, a really nice guy who cares. Here is the quote to me from my friend after calling the clinic "I called and the chick that answered the phone was so rude". The receptionist name was Candace. With all the complaints on here about the poor service at the front end, why has this clinic not done anything about the poor service? It's interesting to me that the 'Owner' only makes comments to the good reviews on here but fails to comment on the bad reviews, not even offering an apology to people for their bad experience and attempting to correct the problem. It appears, from the first contact you have from a rude receptionist, Piper Creek Vet Clinic is not living up to their mission statement on their web page. Mr./Ms. Owner, bad on you for not dealing with the numerous complaints people have in this regards.

We take both of our girls to see Dr Greg for all of their health needs and highly recommend the clinic to others. Yesterday we came home to find little Mia's muzzle all swollen. Immediately we called the after hours line never once giving thought to what an after hours call out might cost. Dr Craig quickly answered our call and listened to her symptoms. Seeing as she had no discomfort to touch or hardness/ heat to the swelling he suggested we give her some Benadryl. He offered to meet us at the clinic but though we should try this first and save the after hours fee. After one treatment the swelling started going down and this morning she looks back to normal. Thank you so much for the advise last night Dr Craig.

Our dog's health declined very quickly this past week. Dr. MacFarlane and Dr. Craig helped try and treat her and advised what steps were needed to be taken next. Unfortunately, her fever never broke, and the miracle we were hoping for never came. We had to say good-bye to Echo. As tough as it was to say good-bye, we are happy that she was well-looked after at the clinic. We are happy Dr. Craig gave us an early phone call to come in quickly to spend some time with her. We know that everything possible was done to try and help her but sometimes diseases are too advanced to cure. We are happy she didn't suffer for very long. Thank you, Piper Creek Veterinary Clinic. Thank you for helping during a very difficult time.

Greg Linnell is by far the best vet in town. He is there for the love and care of our fur babies. We had the heartbreaking task of putting our family dog down. Greg was nothing short of amazing!!! Kind, gentle, compassionate, patient and honest. I will forever e grateful for him. If we are to have another family pet Greg will be the only vet we will entrust our new family to. His wife Dena was just as awesome keeping us company and occupying our minds. Yes, Dena you did not go unnoticed. Thank you both!!! Such wonderful humans!

I could not believe what I was being told. I stormed out. By the time I got to another clinic it was to late and our boy had passed away. I beg everyone who reads this to never take your pets to Piper Creek Vet Clinic. They are incredibly inconsiderate. It was apparent to me yesterday that they DO NOT care for animals the way they claim to. My three remaining pets will never step foot in that clinic again.

Took my dog here to get neutered and everything went well then I started getting a little concerned about his stitches as they were red and looked irritated, when I picked him up they told me they can always take a look, so I called and te receptionist told me I’d have to pay for the exam fee and I tried to explain that he was neutered there and was told I would need to pay the exam fee anyways. I later got an email from the doctor explaining that he can take a look for no charge as that’s what I was told when I picked him up and it was a surgery check up preformed there. Because of the resolution I decided to give it another shot and I sent my dog in to get a bump on his head looked at, he went in and emptied the wound as it turned out to be a cyst. I was given antibiotics and told to book a surgery for within the next 10 days. So I sent him in and was told everything went well (a big relief) and I got him home. He was pooped so I let him be for a little but I looked at him today and the cyst I was told they would be operating on had not been touched. I wasn’t aware of anything else on his head but this incision was waaay to close to his face for the cyst they squeezed the first time. They operated on something I had no idea about. Will be calling on Monday and probably update the review after.

Dr Greg Linnell is our favourite Veterinarian. We started bringing our little fur babies to him about 10 years ago. He's honest and straightforward. He remembers our dogs and us everytime we come in.
One time we took our dog in to get some dental work. Dr Linnell did a checkup in the morning (which had a quote) and performed the surgery in the afternoon (which required numerous tooth extractions). A few teeth were worse off then initially expected. Because it wasn't part of the initial quote, he dealt with those teeth free of charge.
Would highly recommend Dr Linnell to anyone with a pet.

I can't say enough good things about the people at Piper Creek. We adore all the Vet's there. They are so knowledgeable and caring. I can't imagine taking my pets anywhere else.

The old saying holds true , you really do get what you pay for . Our breeder recommended this vet to us for a spay . We were not looking forward to the 6 hours of driving there and back over 2 days but wanted to use who came recommended , trusted her opinion, and liked that they would monitor overnight. My husband drove her in , she stayed overnight and when he picked her up she was bleeding all over the floor , so much it started to pool. Apparently, she got her cone off overnight and got at her stitches - we assumed she would have been closely supervised , as she would have been at home. They took her back and applied some glue to get it closed back up. So at this point I’m not overly impressed but understand that things happen. Today I noticed that her spay certificate had the incorrect birthday and age so I call to have it corrected only to be questioned why I need it and that they don’t normally send them . Now I’m mad , simply asking for a correction to an official document and your giving me a hard time when I’m already stressed out about my dog to begin with . Needless to say we will not be back.

Well I decided to try this place even though some bad reviews seem validated. My call was answered and I was asked "do you mind holding?" . My reply was "yes", though I did mean I didn't mind holding the person didnt even question it. After almost 5 minutes of no reply I figured why even bother. A good and well run company should respond to all reviews, not just the good ones. Lots other vets out there. See ya!

I've tried a couple of other places in Red Deer that were more rushed, more expensive, and less caring. My dog is safe with any and all vets and staff at Piper Creek. She has now been going 8 years or so out of her 10 year life.

Took my new kitten to Piper Creek for his first vet appointment. I was very impressed with the veterinarian, he was kind, knowledgeable and seemed to genuinely care about my kitten's health. The lady at the front desk however, was less than pleasant. I was several minutes late for my appointment due to an accident on the highway, had tried calling the clinic to inform them I'd be late but kept getting "user busy" on my phone and couldn't reach them. Once I got there, the lady at the desk was rude and very short with me. Being late due to a situation I couldn't control, I guess I expected a little more understanding. Not a great first impression! Likely won't be going back.

We have been taking our 2 dogs and 2 cats to Piper Creek for the last 6 years and We have had nothing but great service,. They really do care about the pets and have never overcharged us for anything....

They really do care about the pets and have never overcharged us for anything. Also, the vet there has given us other options to save money if need be. Anytime we had a question we can call and they will answer the best they can. My dog had an allergic reaction one summer, and the vet didn't charge me at all to see him and get him in right away. When we got our pets fixed, they called to let us know once the procedure was done, and also called to check up on them after. I wouldn't take our babies anywhere else. We're very happy with them!

I recommended this clinic to my friend, as I had a great experience with Dr. Linnell in the past, a really nice guy who cares. Here is the quote to me from my friend after calling the clinic "I called and the chick that answered the phone was so rude". The receptionist name was Candace. With all the complaints on here about the poor service at the front end, why has this clinic not done anything about the poor service? It's interesting to me that the 'Owner' only makes comments to the good reviews on here but fails to comment on the bad reviews, not even offering an apology to people for their bad experience and attempting to correct the problem. It appears, from the first contact you have from a rude receptionist, Piper Creek Vet Clinic is not living up to their mission statement on their web page. Mr./Ms. Owner, bad on you for not dealing with the numerous complaints people have in this regards.

We take both of our girls to see Dr Greg for all of their health needs and highly recommend the clinic to others. Yesterday we came home to find little Mia's muzzle all swollen. Immediately we called the after hours line never once giving thought to what an after hours call out might cost. Dr Craig quickly answered our call and listened to her symptoms. Seeing as she had no discomfort to touch or hardness/ heat to the swelling he suggested we give her some Benadryl. He offered to meet us at the clinic but though we should try this first and save the after hours fee. After one treatment the swelling started going down and this morning she looks back to normal. Thank you so much for the advise last night Dr Craig.

Our dog's health declined very quickly this past week. Dr. MacFarlane and Dr. Craig helped try and treat her and advised what steps were needed to be taken next. Unfortunately, her fever never broke, and the miracle we were hoping for never came. We had to say good-bye to Echo. As tough as it was to say good-bye, we are happy that she was well-looked after at the clinic. We are happy Dr. Craig gave us an early phone call to come in quickly to spend some time with her. We know that everything possible was done to try and help her but sometimes diseases are too advanced to cure. We are happy she didn't suffer for very long. Thank you, Piper Creek Veterinary Clinic. Thank you for helping during a very difficult time.

Greg Linnell is by far the best vet in town. He is there for the love and care of our fur babies. We had the heartbreaking task of putting our family dog down. Greg was nothing short of amazing!!! Kind, gentle, compassionate, patient and honest. I will forever e grateful for him. If we are to have another family pet Greg will be the only vet we will entrust our new family to. His wife Dena was just as awesome keeping us company and occupying our minds. Yes, Dena you did not go unnoticed. Thank you both!!! Such wonderful humans!
