I would leave zero stars if I could. My mom has taken her dog here faithfully for 7 years, since she was a pup. My mom has spent thousands of dollars there treating ear infections and clippings. The dog has severe anxiety when she goes there so they have to sedate her or put her completely under to do anything for her. A few weeks ago the dog had a limp and we could see what looked like a cut that started to swell so my mom took her in and they put her on antibiotics. The vet had her under to get clipped and said they looked at it and there was no cut. Well the infection got worse and the dog had licked the wound raw which my mom didn’t understand why they didn’t put a cone on her to begin with. Last week I went to check on the dog while my mom was at work and I was horrified with how bad it had gotten it was leaking large amounts yellow discharge that stunk to high heaven (showing infection still present) the dog would not move she laid there shaking in gain. I called Sandy she said it was fine as long as my mom was following the instructions of the antibiotics anti inflammatory and cream which she was. Sandy said it’s just serum that was leaking and that there’s nothing they can do cause the dog doesn’t like her and they would see her in a few days. Well I took matters into my own hands and took her for a second opinion the dog has not yet been sedate once at this new vet they love her there she co-operates with them. Now that sad part, Sandy and Rob had no idea what the infection was never asked to do a culture to figure it out never took the time just kept pumping antibiotics into the dog even when it has been going on for two weeks and getting worse they still did not know or care to know what it was. The new vet that was the first thing she did was sent it for culture and the new vet said that there is a cut and now this poor innocent animal could lose her leg or even her life at this point because of we trusted a professional to take care of our pets. I am utterly disgusted with Sandy and Rob. This clinic seems to go through vets frequently which we realize why now. They looked at my mom and myself with dollar signs they didn’t care about the health of our dogs. They kept pushing their brand of food on my puppy, which is allergic to chicken and all that dog food has is chicken ingredient. Sandy forced kennel cough on our dog when we got her last set of shots didn’t even really ask just did it and added to the bill. The first visit cost over 100 dollars and she didn’t even do anything except get in my dogs face and be obnoxious and tell me I had to buy these wipes and ear drops for my 12 week old puppy that didn’t have anything wrong with her. Our pup got bladder crystals as soon as we switched her off Royal Cainine which Sandy pushes hard there and put her on Acana her skin went back to normal her bladder crystals went away and she’s a happy healthy dog now. Now my mom has spent nearly two thousand dollars on an infection that could have been nipped in the bud if treated properly to begin with. Unfortunately do to their lack of compassion for an anxious dog, no fault to the dogs at all, and the fact they just see dollar signs in my mom and myself they lost what would have been two life long clients. This incedent has really opened our eyes after 7 years there. Dog went to the new vet, Abby at East Hill Dog and Cat hospital every day last week they never sedated her once, they talk about how sweet she is and how co-operative she is. Dogs sense peoples energy and obviously my moms dog knew something wasn’t right at Central Animal Clinic ever. We are so thankful for Dr. Abby for going out of her way and treating our dog like her own coming in on her day off to check on her doing everything she possibly can to get to the bottom of this and save our dogs leg and life. If you want a compassionate vet that goes to the ends of the earth for your fur babies avoid Sandy and Rob and go straight to the wonderful ladies at East Hill Dog and Cat hospital. Read Less
