The vets and staff at this clinic are all amazing and do a great job looking after our fur kids. We've been seeing them for at least 14 years now and have been through some super awesome moments with them as well as some pretty horrible ones. Utter negligence at this clinic. My brother's dog was not doing well for a few days, so he scheduled an appointment. His dog was so sick that she would no longer walk, and my brother had to carry her into the appointment. They ran some tests, gave her IV fluids, charged him $500 and said that she was fine, just bring her in for more fluids the following day. My brother had to carry her out of the appointment, and she wasn't doing any better. She died in my brothers arms in his house 2 hours after leaving their clinic. My brother will forever live with these horrible memories, watching her die, and having to carry her dead body around, driving to another clinic to have her cremated. He has to live with a sense of guilt that he should have done something more, but he trusted these people. Any person with eyes should know that his dog was not doing well, that he had to physically carry her out of the clinic. Saying she was fine and sending them on their way was straight up negligence. Never took the time to build trust with my shepherd, automatically jumped to all hands on deck restraining him.. just went and visited another clinic and he had no issues there which confirmed it being a vet issue not a behaviour problem... I am very disappointed to say the least. I had heard great things about mills haven but my experiences were anything other than positive. Dr Holowaychuk is wonderful. She loves the animals she treats and she respects owners' knowledge and concerns. I'm grateful to have her as our vet. The other vets, techs, and front office staff all are very good with my dog, and have been really pleasant to deal with. I'm not sure their pricing structure is incredible or if I've just been in on lucky days, but the cost has been surprisingly affordable.Read Less

This is not our regular vet and we will Not be returning. I brought my 13 year old lab here who was in medical distress and needed emergency help. He had an existing airway condition and I knew if it become closed off there was nothing that could be done. I rushed him into the closest vet as my vet is in the county. The veterinarian was lovely and kind. I was told I had to put him down immediately. He was give oxygen and then put down. When I went to pay they charged me $500. To me this was outrageous. When I called my regular vet they said the bill would of been around $300 or less. I spoke to Mills Haven and they had no explanation as to the high cost just it was because it was an emergency and that is there fees. I felt like I was taken advantage of in a very vulnerable heart breaking moment. I will never return. Read Less

The Vets and the majority of staff there are amazing. My dog loves going to Vet. Always has. He gets so excited to get back into the room and barks and is incredibly rambunctious. There is one girl who works the front desk who always gives me dirty looks when I go in and I'm at the point where I'm am uncomfortable to bring my dog there. She was also very rude to my mother and her dog. If it's me personally she has a problem with, that's fine. But being rude to my mother is absolutely uncalled for. Read Less

During the spaying of my 6-month old pup, the vet in charge of her surgery opened the valve on the ventilator supplying her with oxygen, but neglected to turn on the exhaust valve. The resulting CO2 buildup caused my puppy to experience cardiac arrest. They revived her, and finished the procedure, but the long-lasting effects of the mistake on my dog are unknown, as the breed is prone to heart problems later in life. Will not return. Read Less

Dr Hallowaychuk is an amazing veterinarian! She not only LOVES her fur patients, she is also very knowledgeable. When she hasn't been available, we have seen other vets and they also were great. We enjoy going in because the whole staff are very pleasant. Dr. Hallowaychuk was able to help us with some rare issues we had with out puppy's eyes. The fees are very fair was well! I cannot say how great this clinic is.  We had a 13 year old cocker spaniel that we took here for the 2 years were were in Fort Sask.  They are professional, caring, gentle, respectful, and thorough.  We were in many times as cockers have so many ear infections.  She was always treated lovingly.  We were never rushed.  There was always a call a couple of days later to see how Maggie was doing.  This is a very, very  caring place.  Unfortunately we had to say good bye a couple of weeks ago.  The entire staff has been fantastic, and sent a condolence letter after they found out.  Truly this is the place to take your animals.  They are treated with respect, love, concern as are the owners.  Thank you so very much Mills Haven. My husband and his family had been taking their dog and cat to a vet here (Dr. Holowaychuk, the founder of the clinic) for years. When we moved in together 5 years ago, we started taking our cats here as well.We've seen three vets over the course of that time; the first one - who was excellent - moved away, the second one (Dr. Clarke), who we still see, and the third one (Dr. Sinclair), who we just recently started to see when we had an emergency with one of our cats and the subsequent follow up visits. Now, our cats are not young, and one of them has a couple of ongoing health concerns that require medication. All three of the ladies that we have taken our cats to have been very thourough, explain everything really well (which is obviously very important), answer all questions and are understanding. They are also so obviously cat ladies, which I love. They talk to the cats and pet them and are just really great with them. I mentioned our emergency situation earlier, and I just want to expand on that a bit. We noticed Clair (the cat) acting strangely, so called and were able to bring her in right away. We had to keep taking her in, put her on different medication and do some other things. I was very stressed the whole time. Dr. Sinclair was great during the appointments, and the staff at the clinic called constantly to check up on her and make follow up appointments. I also called in a couple of times and spoke with one of the girls at the front as well as an extremely helpful tech named Katy. All of the staff are concerned about your pet there. The clinic is very clean. The waiting area is nice and open, with a little shop area with toys, food and grooming supplies. I'm pretty sure the ladies at the front have been there for at least the past 5 years, too, which is nice.I can't really comment at the prices, because to be honest with you, it doesn't really concern me, and I have nothing to compare it to since we've been going here for a while. Part of being a pet owner are the associated costs, and I will pay for quality care.Good hours - open until 6pm every weekday and 8pm on Tuesdays. Open Saturdays 9-4. Read Less
