Was told that since our cat of 3 years was 'just a shelter cat' his nasal drip was RSV- and refused to do any investigating even though the symptoms were new. We had to go to another vet who did not have a bias against adopted animals to get the diagnosis of a broken nose and deviated septim. Something we expected since we told the vet at St Albert Veterinarian our cat had fallen face first from a cat tree.

We've recently switched to St. Albert Animal Clinic from Morinville Veterinary in order to follow our beloved vet, Dr. Metenchuk, here. Located in the heart of Downtown St. Albert next to Songkran Thai (Yum!) and across the street from the Cajun house. I was pleasantly surprised to find the prices here on point with what we had been paying at Morinville and significantly less than Tudor Glen Vet (think boutique vet in St. Albert).I could go one and on and write an essay about Dr. Metenchuk. Honestly, I'd follow her to the other end of Edmonton. She's caring, compassionate, understanding and has a heart of gold. She's saved my 16 year old kitty's life from a bowel obstruction and also took all the time in the world with us when we needed to put down a beloved 18 year old kitty this winter after he had a stroke. We also adopted two kittens that her family fostered because they were sooooo tiny and taken from their Mom too young. It's so much fun getting to see their reaction to her as they've grown and also showing her pictures of the trouble they get into. I know first hand those kittens were loved to bits and socialized well under the care of Dr. Metenchuk and her family.Currently, Dr. Metenchuk is practicing here 3 days a week with the intention of taking over the clinic. It may be an older building without all the bells and whistles and snack bar treats of other vets in town but I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. Dr. Metenchuk is one in a million and I'm so very blessed to have her care and guidance over my fur babies.

Friendly and very knowledgeable staff. Recently my only complaint is the wait times even when making an appointment. The last three times we’ve been in, we didn’t get in to the vet for at least 30 minutes after our scheduled appointment time. This never used to be the case in the past. We’ve been bringing our Yorkie Poo here for over ten years now and will continue to do so.

We took our 2 dogs here for checkup and shots. The vet came back from lunch 20 min late after they placed us in the examination room 15 min early. The exams and shots on both dogs took 7 min total. R...
We took our 2 dogs here for checkup and shots. The vet came back from lunch 20 min late after they placed us in the examination room 15 min early. The exams and shots on both dogs took 7 min total. Rico has hip problems and was not checked. At least they only made us wait 5 min. to get their final payment from us. Don't know if Dr. Burgess is still their but service like that will not help paying off her fancy new building.

Every time we walk in, which is often with a diabetic cat, we are greeted with a warm smile and asked how all our babies are doing. Our cats are treated with as much love there as they are at home.
