I live in Abbotsford but my vet is in Coquitlam. I needed some meds so my vet faxed over my prescription to the Clearbrook Animal Hospital, so I wouldn't need to drive to Coquitlam to get them. I had been waiting all day for their call, but they never did call to let me know that they received the order. I called over to Clearbrook Animal Hospital at 5:00pm and at first they said they knew nothing about the order, then they did, and it was ready. I drove straight over to get the meds. They knew nothing about the order again, and it took them forever to find the prescription that my vet sent over. After a long delay, they asked my last name a couple of times. I spelled it for them, then had to spell it again. Then they asked my first name, then my dog's name. I told them my RABBIT'S name; for the second time. Then they needed the help of one of the doctors to process and fill the prescription. None of this really is critically important, but was quite unprofessional and I found it very annoying. Finally they put the meds on the counter. It says to take 4ml once a day. I questioned the amount and the vet tech, without checking, said it was right. I said that at that rate, the 6ml bottle would be out immediately and I'd be requiring a refill; she agreed. When I got home and researched the internet, I found that the dosage they printed was for 10 times the prescribed amount. This could easily create a serious life-long problem, if not kill my pet. I called my vet to confirm the dosage the next morning and they told me that it was for 0.4ml once a day. Okay, it's a simple, careless mistake, that should never ever happen, but I questioned it; twice, and they never so much as bothered to re-check the prescription that they were given. Why would I be given a prescription that states the daily dosage, but there isn't even enough to give twice; more than once but not twice? I questioned this, but the vet tech did not, nor did she care to. Moreover, they seemed to be really annoyed with me that I was doing business with them. They were unfriendly and discourteous and certainly didn't offer an apology. Maybe this is part of a work creation program that this vet participates in. I might have showed up on a slow day and they were trying to generate some new business. The Clearbrook Animal Hospital need not worry, I will never trouble them with my business again. A drive to Coquitlam is easily worth the well-being of any of my pets. Read Less
