Fantastic place. We have not enough words to express our gratitude for Dr . Banipal and his staff. Not only he performed successful emergency surgery on our beloved Malinka , she is doing great now, and people working there is obvious are animals loving people. Great care of our dog from the beginning to the end and after surgery follow up call. As much as I don’t like to bring my dogs to the vet hospitals, it is the only one I will visit again. Great people, great place. Read Less

Gotta Rave for Glenn Mountain Animal Hospital. My Staffy, Moon, decided to play squeak toy with a rat. They tussled, Moon won of course but got a war wound or two in the process. Took him to the vet for a rabies shot, I think better be safe than sorry. I highly recommend Glenn Mountain Animal Hospital in Abbotsford. I took him there to be neutered two years ago and again today. They were kind, friendly, compassionate and patient 🀣 my Moon is a ball of energy so he didn't make it easy to look at his lip. I also had a horrific experience on Thursday at Glen Mountain, my beautiful cat, Brook became quite ill about two weeks ago. Took her to Glen Mountain on Friday the previous week and she was treated with antibiotics for an eye infection. We were told there was a lot going on with her health, possible kidney failure and maybe cancer. As she was very old we decided not to stress her with all the test and would take her home and bring her back in a week if she was not feeling better. We dealt with a younger dr that day and he was amazing. After a week our girls eye infection was gone however she could barely stand and was in great distress so we made the difficult decision to not let her suffer further. I took her in this past Thursday evening and saw a different dr. He prepped Brook for her shot and brought her back into the room with me for her final injections. I asked him if the injection was painful and he assured me it wasn’t. He gave her one injection as I cuddled her and immediately gave her the second. She went from laying on the table to standing on her hind legs, she was screaming and convulsing. It was one of the most horrific, painful experiences that I have ever been through. She did not deserve to go that way and I am so traumatized. This will be the last thing I remember of my sweet girl. My husband called the vet to ask what happened and if he had sedated her first. He implied that he hadn’t. We called several clinic to inquire of the process and they assured us that sedation is a part of the process. My poor girl suffered immensely in her last moments due to his negligence. I have been going to Glen Mountain for years however will never take any of my pets there again😒 Read Less

This review is pending approval by the moderators. By Mike R November 10, 2016 Attending this vet felt like an excercise in futility. My French bulldog was suffering from slipping on the hardwood stairs as he ran to the door. We took him into Glenn Mountain Animal Hospital where he got a shot of metacam, and was sent home with liquid tramadol. Advised X-rays but as it was not our regular vet. We took our pet home and planned to have the X-rays done the following day. He managed to have a couple hrs of pain relief, until he was up again at 4am panting heavily in agony.. I called This clinic again on their "emergency line " 3x to get an answer. Rather coldly directed me to another vet to pay for whole checkup over again. In the future any owner may want to skip the middle man (Glenn Mountain Animal Hospital ) and just pick a vet clinic who will assist their pet with the idea of minimizing pain and suffering to your little furry family member, rather than just offering a very quick once over and some medicine in exchange for a decent bill with no thought to actually resolving the problem. Found taking payment for something and then just sending you down the road to a competitior was lacking just a little in the customer service department .Read Less

Attending Glenn mountain vet hospital felt like an excercise in futility. Our pet had slipped on the hardwood stairs and was panting in obvious pain. We attended this vet @730 pm and our French bulldog was adminstered a shot for pain relief and we were sent home with 2 prescriptions ( metacam and tramadol). X-rays were suggested but as it is not our regular vet, combined with the fact that that X-rays tend to not show anything wrong related to pinched discs(would need a Myelogram or MRI to show the spinal cord along with any disc injury,) Our pet had aprox 5-6 hrs of pain relief and then could not sleep and was panting in obvious agony so I phoned Glenn mountain vet emergency line (3x before I got an answer) The vet on the line proceeded to tell me he was not the vet we saw that night and rather coldly suggested I take my injured pet to another local vet that is open all hours. Needless to say I paid the exam fees for a second time and got another pain shot for my pet from the other facility . I will b skipping the middle man ( Glenn mtn vet hospital) in the future and just feel it is my obligation to help other pet owners do the same Read Less

This week my little Caesar passed away after looking after his brother Alexander & I for 19 years. In his last hours I made him as comfortable as I could. I knew the end was near when he wouldn't even drink the (lactose free) milk. I stayed up with him watching a movie with lots of songs so he could hear. I looked over and he was gone. In some ways I am glad he went on his own time. I got a clean towel and gently put him in one of my laundry baskets. In the morning I called Glenn Mountain and was told I could bring Caesar in anytime. I went on one of the longest car rides in my life with my little Caesar. When I got to the hospital the lady took Caesar into the back to move him from the basket and wrapped him in one of their blankets. She brought back my towel and basket. She said I may get him back as early as today, but it depended on how busy they were. I had one last look at Caesar as he lay on the table and left to come home and comfort his brother and myself. The staff at the hospital were so understanding. It must be hard on them as this must happen every week. So now I am waiting to finish Caesar's last car ride and bring him home so that he may be with his brother and me.Read Less

Andrew W. In response to your review on Yelp. We are not your vet as you are not the person on any records or consent forms at our hospital. We are not the regular Veterinary Hospital for this cat. In fact we have not seen this cat as a patient since October of 2014. These records were faxed to another animal hospital. While boarding, your cat did not show any signs of illness. She ate, urinated and had frequent firm bowel movements. At no time was there any vomiting diarrhea or obvious signs of illness. She was groomed daily, fresh bedding minimum twice daily, fresh food and water twice daily. She was a very vocal cat when spoken to, petted and combed. While drawing the insulin for your cat the bottle was dropped and it broke. This was replaced with a full bottle at no cost to you. This was done as a courtesy, we were under no obligation to replace the bottle. This was an $80.00 cost to the clinic. There were also no additional charges for giving your cat 2 injections per day. This was not a simple boarding cat, this was a hospitalization cat when medication is involved. We would not have noticed if she wasn't walking as she was a boarding cat not a resident cat with open access to the hospital. She appeared to be moving around her kennel with no difficulty. It is not out of the norm for a cat to sleep in its litter box. No your cat did not spend 7 days sleeping in the littler box. So no there were no RED FLAGS to indicate a problem. I found your reaction to your cat strange at pickup when you asked your cat if she was in pain. Not a normal reaction from a client picking up a boarding animal. Were you aware there was a problem before she came and failed to disclose this to us? She did not have infected cuts on her face, she has feline acne which is quite common in cats.. These are small pustules that have probably been there for a long time, another fact you failed to disclose. I believe you knew because when you phoned minutes after picking the cat up you said that you were wiping cats mouth and found a puss engorged gaping hole in your cats lip. I don't know of a client that would pick their cat up, take it home and wipe its mouth. I saw this very small rash when you returned, there were no gaping holes and no puss pouring from any wounds. Your cat had no interaction with any animals during its stay. You mention pancreatitis, did you in fact have a diagnosis made somewhere else and your cat was hospitalized and is being treated for this or are you assuming as it was one of the concerns our doctor talked to you about. When the Doctor explained to you to do bloodwork you were insistant that this be free. Even on the consent form that was signed for boarding it clearly states that any medical treatment would be charged to you so at no time would any medical treatment have been free. You were extremely rude and abusive to the Doctor that was trying to help you with your concerns. Yelling and swearing at him, to the point that he asked you to leave. At no time did you ask a staff member if you had left the cat another day it would have died and our response was "well I hope not".Maybe in the future when you right a review you may want to include the truth as this is also helpful to anyone wanting to take the time to read it. They almost killed my cat... So we asked them to board our 16 year old cat, to which they have been the vet for the last 3 years. When we came to pick her up she had horribly infected cuts around her mouth severe stomach pains, and spent the week sleeping in her litter box!! Like hello red flag!! Only to find out she developed pancreatitis under their care, and they had no knowledge that anything was wrong! Then the vet onsite was discussing treatment and testing and had the nerve to talk about how we are going to pay... If you want your animals to risk death then this is the place... By the way when asked if we had left her any longer would she have died? Their answer was well I hope not.... Read Less

After a absolutely terrible experience at this clinic I posted a review stating what had happened and why it was such a terrible place to go. I took my review down because I had been asked my vet to do so. Since then I have been threatened, my children's lives have been threatened by a employees daughter and I've had to file a police report. I've also been threatened that if I didn't take my review down they would call SPCA. Which I absolutely welcome. After what they have put me through my review is going back up and will stay. HUGE RANT so my dog diesel was neutered a week ago and today while I was at work my dad let him out to go pee, diesel saw a cat and got loose he chased the cat and in doing so ruptured not only the neutering stitches but somehow a main artery, they phoned me immediately and rushed him to a vet I left work immediately and met them there. Now unfortunately my regular vet was not working so he was taken to GLEN MOUNTAIN animal hospital. He immediately went on the surgery table..... Now this is wear it gets interesting.... The vets assist did NOT AND I MEAN DID NOT HELP in fact I assisted the vet the whole surgery, while assisting the vet assistant quotes me a price including hospitalization for the night which only makes sense considering he is in a very bad way and has lost alot of blood. Now after the vet stitches everything back up he tells me he does t want to keep diesel overnight because he has other engagements so when diesel wakes up I'll have to take him home.... I explain the vet that diesel doesn't wake up from sedation very well it's takes several hours.... So he then give diesel a shot without telling me what he's doing and it wakes him up immediately diesel starts to panic rocking back and forth peeing all over himself they take the iv out and rush me out the door..... So I go up to the front in shock at what's just taken place and the vet tech quotes me the same price.... THAT'S RIGHT THE SAME PRICE WITH OVERNIGHT HOSPITALIZATION , I question her about it and she says we charge it not matter what, at that exact same. Moment diesel falls on his face and pees all over himself again. So I say I'll review this when I'm home I need to get him out of here. I pay and leave. I get home review the charges and yes it's there the overnight hospitalization... So I call and ask now that I'm sitting down and she laughs at me and says that's what they charge I can talk to the vet but he's not going to care and hangs up on me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will NEVER GO BACK THERE I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THAT PLACE TO ANYONE. STAY FAR FAR AWAY Update my dog still isn't feeling 100% and if there's no change by morning we will be going back to our regular vet Read Less

Went there last weekend to put my 13 year old dog down due to old age. Was the most horrible memory I will ever have. Was charged an extra $42 because we wanted to be with him and not let him go on his own. They said the $42 was for putting in the catheter. Have enquired with another vet since and was told a catheter should be used at all times whether the owner goes in or not because if the animal pulls away and does not get the full dose it is extremely inhumane and a horrible way to go. They told my son to take him into the exam room and they would take him from there in the back to put in the catheter and bring him back into us. When I entered the exam room the vet had insisted on putting him on the small exam table. My dog is a 100lb dog and forcing him to lie down on the table put him into a panic. They tried several times while we were in tears having to hold him down. When that failed he gave him a sedative which knocked him out so much that his whole body went limp and his tongue was hanging out. The vet then proceeded to grab him by the neck and flip him over on his other side. They gave us some time alone with him then and told us to knock on the door when we were ready. There was not one bit of compassion shown what so ever. Not even a tissue to be found. I will never ever enter this clinic again. Please do not take your pets there.Read Less

Today I had the absolute WORST experience at this vet. I brought my cat in to have him neutered and a tattoo in his ear. First the receptionist who was there when I picked him up was so extremely rude, didn't give me any aftercare information what so ever, and says "if he doesn't puke when he eats he's fine" shouldn't he be fine anyways after a 15minute procedure? Why let him leave if you aren't confident in his safety? Maybe clarify exactly what you mean? Then when I get home I notice the bandage on his paw was extremely tight, he was so swollen it didn't even look like they took anything out, he was covered in fresh blood it's like there wasn't even stitches, they sold me a $14 cone that doesn't even fit him, I was told by a friend who is a vet assistant that there wasn't a need for the IV with such a small procedure, I also wasn't even told that he would Be having an IV, I was told it was a pain shot. The only reason I'll ever go back to this hack job of a vet office is to complain and get my money back. Lol this office even has a Facebook page dedicated to shutting them down. Nice job guys.

Do your research before choosing your vet people!!Read Less
