Our practice focuses on providing long term, practical health strategies for your horse. Planning out the health needs of your horse over it's lifetime, based on his or her use and tailored to the environment your horse is in. We want to be practical, not minimalistic, but certainly doing only what is needed or beneficial. Our aim is to be proactive and focus on prevention of health issues rather than curing disease or injury.

Dr. Geertsema is simply the best. His love and passion for horses is undeniable and he has decades of experience healing horses. Horses also seem to love this vet readily comfortable and relaxed with him. There isn't a better and more knowledgeable equine vet in the lower mainland with so many years specializing in treating horses.

Herman is an outstanding Vet and an even better human being. He is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and so easy to work with. The horses seem to know that he is there for them because my gelding just loves him. You can see it in Herman’s attitude when he’s on a vet call, he is just in his element. Best Vet I have ever worked with.

He has a warm, friendly personality and is very gentle and kind with both owners and their horses :)

Herman is an outstanding Vet and an even better human being. He is incredibly knowledgeable, helpful and so easy to work with. The horses seem to know that he is there for them because my gelding just loves him. You can see it in Herman’s attitude when he’s on a vet call, he is just in his element. Best Vet I have ever worked with.
