Do NOT take your pet here. They are only out to make money.I took my 17 yr old cat to see this vet in Nov (I had just adopted him a yr prior) and was excited at the "Geriatric Pet Month" special, which gave me a free first check up.But then, that free check up turned into a blood and urine test, which cost a few hundred dollars. Then an x-ray. And another visit to find out the results of this test. All good, turns out he had hypothyroidism and some kidney issues. Understandable for an old cat. Puts him on some med, will check him in a couple months.Couple months roll by, Β 3rd visit, vet says in no uncertain terms "With your cat on these medications, he'll live to 20, NO PROBLEM. He's just constipated a little." I leave feeling amazing, knowing I'm giving my pet the medications he needs to be comfortable for the last few years of his life.January rolls in, I get two wrong phone calls, asking to schedule an appointment to check his levels (he was due to see them in March).By the end of Feb, we're wondering why he seems so rickety. We take him to Hemlock Animal Hospital, and the vet there tells us, in no uncertain terms that Oysters had fluid in his chest cavity (which Boundary indicated to me was "constipation"), and that his hypothyroidism had not been properly maintained. When I showed this vet his medication, he looked at me in shock and said "He's only on this ONCE a day? We start this medication TWICE a day, always." I was in shock. This vet did more blood/urine tests and found the levels had hardly changed, due to the low dosages Boundary had prescribed for us. He asked us if Oysters had always been breathing like this and I said "Yes, when we took him to Boundary, they never said anything about his breathing". Hemlock disagreed, saying it was a clear indication of fluid and breathing difficulties. At the end of the day, it was too late for my Oysters and we ended up having to let him go. Final points: I compared my vet bills from Boundary Animal Hospital and they charge 25% more for the exact same services that Hemlock Animal Hospital does. They use old equipment (Boundary was showing me X-ray sheets, whereas Hemlock was showing me digital images) and Boundary's admin staff can't seem to keep their patients' straight.I probably wouldn't have written this review, had I not received a condolences card from Boundary Animal Hospital (a friend, who also uses them, mentioned Oysters death to them)......for "Patches".Horrible, terrible services.(did I mention the overcharged me on taxes for one visit, and for some reason couldn't give me cash, so gave me $75 worth of vouchers. WTH.) Read Less
