I tried to call her because of an emergency with my cat, she had no intention of helping him in any way, simply just wanted to put him down, demanded I call the spca and surrender my cat to be put down, when I did not call the spca she refused to help my cat, and told me to call Spokane or Kelowna, he needed emergency medical help and she would not do anything, I deal with ArrowLakes vet and they are incredible, Dr Fraser is the best vet in the area, and I tried to call there to speak with her but because all 3 vets in Castlegar share emergency phone service I was forced to deal with dr dennison, she does not care at all about your pet but just wants your money, she is brutally heartless and should seriously not be in the field of work she is in, Please be very careful taking your pet to her, I cant say the rest of her staff is like this, but she is! this was on Dec. 27- Dec-28 of 2019 Please keep your pets safe Read Less

Very responsive to acute situations, accommodated us and our aging male cat for his urinary problem first thing Monday. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. The technicians and the vet herself were very attentive and showed great concern for our cat Oscar. They tried their best to make him as comfortable as possible, while trying their best to keep our cost down and our wait time to a minimum. They also take into account the distance we must go to visit them (about an hour drive through the mountains). I would recommend them to all my friends and acquaintances. Read Less

I called to see if they had an ultrasound machine. Receptionist told me they only used it for their own client's so I inquired about becoming a new client and the receptionist with attitude, after telling her my current vet believed she had a bleeding tumor in her kidney said "Well we are busy.... we couldn't even see her for two weeks" which would have been okay but her attitude was horrendous! I commented that I felt it was not a good way to conduct conversation to potential clients and she very rudely said"sorry you feel like that!" And hung up on me. Never will I give them my business.... no compassion to the pain my dog was in. I was not looking for special treatment, however when inquiring with a business I would expect more cordial and professional treatment. Get a new receptionist!! Read Less
