We had a very bad experience with this vet.  They were our regular vet for shots etc. until last Spring (2017) when our dog became gravely ill overnight. We phoned reception at "our" vet and were told we could come in and hope to get in if someone cancelled.  We were to leave our dog in the vehicle while we waited.  We waited while others came in with routine appointments for their pets.  When it became apparent that reception staff were not about to disturb their routine or go out of their way for our dog who was dying in the car, we left and went looking for another vet.  The manner of reception staff towards us in our distress was cold and uncaring.  They offered no help or alternatives.Thankfully and miraculously we found a vet clinic that cared and took our dog in immediately.  After a long up-hill battle, our dog survived and is now thriving. Had to have my extremely ill 10 year old cat Put down. They where so nice an understanding even letting us take home our cat after she had been there over night to say good bye with out Payment. We were able to bring her home to say good bye for a couple hours with no mention of payment which was great because that was the last thing we were thinking about. Even with a bill of $1000 they had faith we would be back to pay. Had put my dog down at a vet in Abby the reception said to me how do you think we feel we have to put them down. When I'm there crying putting down my 18 year old dog I don't care about a receptions feelings. My cat now got to die in dignity with no additional drama from the vet. Read Less

I first met Dr Carli Ricka and subsequently the Vet Techs and Front Desk Staff in August of 2015. My Katie has been diagnosed with Grade III Mast Cell Tumors and has had 3 surgeries since then and is now undergoing chemo treatments at the Sardis Veterinary Hospital. I can honestly say Dr Carli has gone above and beyond what is to be expected and I don't know what I would do without her and this wonderful team of people. The kindness and compassion that they have shown towards Katie and I has been so very much appreciated and we love them all. Anyone who chooses this hospital for veterinary care will not be disappointed and will have the very best care possible for their pets. Sardis Animal Hospital is a wonderful caring place to take your furry family members when they are ill! We had to take our little guy in who had to be hospitalized for a few days. Dr. Powell was wonderful! He called when he said he would and gave regular updates. Most importantly, they don't try to take advantage of you financially when your stressed out, scared and worried about your pet like some other vets do. I have 3 "fur babies" and they are all geriatric. I had a situation with one of my cats and needed to see someone asap. I was referred to Sardis and I am so glad that I went. The staff and Dr. Powell were amazing. He had a plan and now we will wait to see the results. I will continue to take my babies there because of the wonderful care that radiates from there. We have so many good experiences with everyone at Sardis Animal Hospital, whether visiting with any of the amazing doctors there or speaking with the courteous and friendly reception staff! Our recent visit our fluffy Norwegian Forest Cat (mostly) had an infected back middle toe, Rikke took him out of the carrier, saying she needed her daily hug... and he purred so loudly. Another instance Dr Powell saw our other cat in an emergency on one of the extremely windy and rainy night and took as much time as a normal appointment would need.
