Our goal is to work with you to ensure a long and healthy life for your family pet. When you come to our hospital you and your pet become a part of our family.
We are commited to provide the highest quality veterinary care for our patients and the best possible service to our clients.

On full-time staff members is a Registered Animal Health Technician, who has been specially trained in monitoring anesthesia, among other medical - technical skills. All the members of the team keep up to date with continuing education seminars and courses.

I love Coquitlam Animal Hospital because for the first time I have 3 cats and I found that the care that the staff does is beyond compare...I got my cats from a vet's office in North Vancouver and 4 years after their birth, 2 of them became very sick and I was beside myself with worry but the staff at Coquitlam Animal Hospital took very good care of my babies and were very kind to me; they are very attentive to the "patients" and explained everything in details as to what was wrong with them and they were very patient with me and they were very thorough which I like very much.I would recommend Coquitlam Animal Hospital to anyone who have pets and I want to thank them for being the best!

I am forever grateful for Coquitlam Animal Hospital for all the compassionate, amazing care they are providing for Garfield, our Maine Coone fur baby who came to us as a rescue a year ago from an abusive home. He came to us very overweight and on the cheapest cat food available with lots of signs of trauma. Fast forward a year to the present date, we brought Garfield in because he was vomiting, dehydrated, and panting. Through their experience and ubundant knowledge they were able to determine using blood tests, radiologists, and what was required to pin point the problem was that our precious furbaby was diagnosed with pancreatitis. (Cats can vomit for a wide range of reasons so they were patient and kind in explaining why they needed certain tests to get to the diagnosis with the symptoms that Garfield was going through) He is receiving love from everyone who works there; everybody from the receptionists, to both of the vets, to veterinarian assistants; they are all making sure Garfield is taken care of with lots of pets, love, and outstanding medical care and attention. It's rare to find a place that everyone who works there, shines with great customer service, expertise, and integrity. I would highly recommend this animal hospital to anyone, with confidence in their abilities to do what is best for our precious furbabies (who are definitely part of the family.) My boyfriend and I have no children, so our pets are our babies. I have a passion for rescuing animals and make sure my precious pets are taken care of by fellow animal lovers. This place is full of beautiful fellow animal lovers, we will be lifetime visitors of this place with our future fur babies, such a relief and blessing to find such phenomenal care in our own city, Coquitlam. Thank you for absolutely everything; everyone at Coquitlam animal hospital! You are truly one of a kind and animals and their owners are blessed to have a place to go that is trustworthy, extremely knowledgeable, and empathetic!

I want to thank the amazing team of dedicated and big hearted people that work at this Animal Hospital! Everyone here is so helpful and genuinely care for the well-being of your pet. My family recently welcomed a new puppy to our crazy life. So far its been an amazing journey but as responsible owners we got all our pup her shots, deworming, rabies etc. Our Penny was reaching adult puppyhood and we wanted to get her spayed, as there are enough dogs in the world. They doctors and vet techs here, made extra precautions that Penny was healthy and ready for her big surgery. Blood work was done and we had to wait some extensive time to make sure her liver enzymes were back to normal before another blood test. Fast forward to a few months later Penny has her first heat and we has to wait by doctors orders until that was well out of her system. Its been a rollercoaster of a ride and each tech and both Doctors have been amazing for support. Penny had some minor complications due to her activeness, simple due to her breed and age! Dr.Briggs and Dr.Paunovic were accommodating to any extra treatment to help her recover. If we ever had any questions they were more then willing to answer them. We were never once charge extensively and each time we brought in Penny for a check up during that time it was always very accommodating. Our Penny LOVES coming to this clinic and bounces off the walls with each person working here. We always recommend this Animal Hospital! Thank you for being amazing people!

Said they'd send my dr his test results but they didn't. Dr had a huge ego ... and there fees are outrageous considering they did nothing. My dog was bleeding from nose and mouth and he never even looked in his mouth or up his nose. Worst experience I've ever had at a vet. And don't say test were normal when it clearly said 2 of them were not. MONEY GRAB

Was not kind , kind of manhandled the cat . 600.00 later for constipation?!? pushed purchasing vet food on everyone that came in . Front end staff was polite the office manager however I found rude , abrasive and unwilling to discuss issues we had . I too am looking for a vet unfortunately after this fiasco neither one of us will be back .

Staff and doctors are so nice. We had an emergency this morning and they immediately helped us, without being a patient or knowing us. They did everything possible to save our pet and unfortunately we had to euthanize him after hours. It was a terrible moment and everyone there was so nice with us, we really appreciated it and in those moments thank you is not enough. We will for sure go back with our pets from now on. I had BOTH dogs there for teeth, over $1000.00 last September, my small dog this year for an infection.... still told I would need to bring in the dog!
Went down the street to Blue Mountain. What a difference! Got the meds, didn’t pay a fortune.
NEVER going back to Coquitlam! Worst Vet experience I have ever had.

Dr. Paunovic has been my Schnauzer's vet for his whole life. Dexter is almost ten years old. He was diagnosed with Gall Bladder issues about 7 years ago, which before and after that diagnosis he was given fantastic care by all staff members. I struggled financially for a a few years and that was taken into consideration by Dr. Paunovic. He believes in other treatments besides prescriptions and my dog is healthy and happy now. We use some herbal supplements and we have had success with Dexter's condition. The Dr. is gentle and kind and I would not hesitate to recommend him. The staff have always been helpful and they all seem to love animals. I now live in a different area than Coquitlam but I still go back for his inoculations etc. I would not hesitate to recommend Coquitlam Animal Hospital.

Even though 'wonderful' Dr. Lam is no longer with us, he has been replaced by 'wonderful' Dr. Paunivic, an equally experienced, understanding veterinarian. Took our cat in for some dental work. Everyone I spoke to on the phone or in person was friendly and helpful.
They called me the day before my cats appointment as a reminder, and provide extra information about the procedure.
The assistant called me a few times throughout the day to provide updates, and let me know how my kitty was doing.
When I went to pick my little guy up the nurse explained all about the medications and teeth cleaning techniques. It was clear and helpful.

I can't say enough good stuff about Dr Paunovic and the staff at the Coquitlam Animal Hospital. I have been going there for 4 years and can't imagine going anywhere else. Dr Paunovic is kind, smart, and gentle. He knows how to balance medical intervention against my geriatric cats' comfort, all while keeping my budget in consideration. The staff are knowledgeable and accommodating. Not only are these people amazing pet caregivers, they're fellow pet-nerds and friends.

I took my dog into Coquitlam Animal Hospital in order to bring her vaccinations up to date. When I first called to book the appointment, the receptionist (I think Danielle) was extremely friendly, thorough and accommodating while booking the appointment on the phone. I also received a friendly and professional greeting when I brought my dog in on the day of her appointment. The vet, Dr. Nenad Paunovic, took extra care of her with great patience, when she was slightly distressed with the shots. I'm so glad to have found an amazing vet in the area.

Such a friendly and accommodating staff. We just moved to the lower mainland and were in need of a vet for our newly rescued dog. We were so pleased with our visit to the Coquitlam Animal Hospital and would highly recommend it to anyone in need of a good, trustworthy vet. The prices were completely reasonable and the vet was knowledgable and friendly. They were happy to thoroughly explain the diagnosis and treatment plan for our pet and took the time to ensure we understood our dog's condition. I called a whole bunch of Vets in the area this Saturday am as my cat was very sick and nobody would fit me in. I called Coquitlam Animal hospital and they fit me in right away even though they were booked up. They really care and have been calling me quite a few times this week to check on Lynx. Dr. Paunovic has called me twice himself and explained all of her tests to me and didn't rush me off the phone. Lynx is so mych better now thanks to Dr. Paunovic and the great staff. So happy to find them!

I needed a vet quickly and was turned away by 10 other clinics who said they were either full for appointments today or that their doctors had gone. Dr. Paunovic was off, his reception called him and he came back just to see our little cat. Both he and his team were amazing and our kitty is so much better tonight. The dedication and care is second-to-none.

On full-time staff members is a Registered Animal Health Technician, who has been specially trained in monitoring anesthesia, among other medical - technical skills. All the members of the team keep up to date with continuing education seminars and courses.

I love Coquitlam Animal Hospital because for the first time I have 3 cats and I found that the care that the staff does is beyond compare...I got my cats from a vet's office in North Vancouver and 4 years after their birth, 2 of them became very sick and I was beside myself with worry but the staff at Coquitlam Animal Hospital took very good care of my babies and were very kind to me; they are very attentive to the "patients" and explained everything in details as to what was wrong with them and they were very patient with me and they were very thorough which I like very much.I would recommend Coquitlam Animal Hospital to anyone who have pets and I want to thank them for being the best!

I am forever grateful for Coquitlam Animal Hospital for all the compassionate, amazing care they are providing for Garfield, our Maine Coone fur baby who came to us as a rescue a year ago from an abusive home. He came to us very overweight and on the cheapest cat food available with lots of signs of trauma. Fast forward a year to the present date, we brought Garfield in because he was vomiting, dehydrated, and panting. Through their experience and ubundant knowledge they were able to determine using blood tests, radiologists, and what was required to pin point the problem was that our precious furbaby was diagnosed with pancreatitis. (Cats can vomit for a wide range of reasons so they were patient and kind in explaining why they needed certain tests to get to the diagnosis with the symptoms that Garfield was going through) He is receiving love from everyone who works there; everybody from the receptionists, to both of the vets, to veterinarian assistants; they are all making sure Garfield is taken care of with lots of pets, love, and outstanding medical care and attention. It's rare to find a place that everyone who works there, shines with great customer service, expertise, and integrity. I would highly recommend this animal hospital to anyone, with confidence in their abilities to do what is best for our precious furbabies (who are definitely part of the family.) My boyfriend and I have no children, so our pets are our babies. I have a passion for rescuing animals and make sure my precious pets are taken care of by fellow animal lovers. This place is full of beautiful fellow animal lovers, we will be lifetime visitors of this place with our future fur babies, such a relief and blessing to find such phenomenal care in our own city, Coquitlam. Thank you for absolutely everything; everyone at Coquitlam animal hospital! You are truly one of a kind and animals and their owners are blessed to have a place to go that is trustworthy, extremely knowledgeable, and empathetic!

I want to thank the amazing team of dedicated and big hearted people that work at this Animal Hospital! Everyone here is so helpful and genuinely care for the well-being of your pet. My family recently welcomed a new puppy to our crazy life. So far its been an amazing journey but as responsible owners we got all our pup her shots, deworming, rabies etc. Our Penny was reaching adult puppyhood and we wanted to get her spayed, as there are enough dogs in the world. They doctors and vet techs here, made extra precautions that Penny was healthy and ready for her big surgery. Blood work was done and we had to wait some extensive time to make sure her liver enzymes were back to normal before another blood test. Fast forward to a few months later Penny has her first heat and we has to wait by doctors orders until that was well out of her system. Its been a rollercoaster of a ride and each tech and both Doctors have been amazing for support. Penny had some minor complications due to her activeness, simple due to her breed and age! Dr.Briggs and Dr.Paunovic were accommodating to any extra treatment to help her recover. If we ever had any questions they were more then willing to answer them. We were never once charge extensively and each time we brought in Penny for a check up during that time it was always very accommodating. Our Penny LOVES coming to this clinic and bounces off the walls with each person working here. We always recommend this Animal Hospital! Thank you for being amazing people!

Said they'd send my dr his test results but they didn't. Dr had a huge ego ... and there fees are outrageous considering they did nothing. My dog was bleeding from nose and mouth and he never even looked in his mouth or up his nose. Worst experience I've ever had at a vet. And don't say test were normal when it clearly said 2 of them were not. MONEY GRAB

Was not kind , kind of manhandled the cat . 600.00 later for constipation?!? pushed purchasing vet food on everyone that came in . Front end staff was polite the office manager however I found rude , abrasive and unwilling to discuss issues we had . I too am looking for a vet unfortunately after this fiasco neither one of us will be back .

Staff and doctors are so nice. We had an emergency this morning and they immediately helped us, without being a patient or knowing us. They did everything possible to save our pet and unfortunately we had to euthanize him after hours. It was a terrible moment and everyone there was so nice with us, we really appreciated it and in those moments thank you is not enough. We will for sure go back with our pets from now on. I had BOTH dogs there for teeth, over $1000.00 last September, my small dog this year for an infection.... still told I would need to bring in the dog!
Went down the street to Blue Mountain. What a difference! Got the meds, didn’t pay a fortune.
NEVER going back to Coquitlam! Worst Vet experience I have ever had.

Dr. Paunovic has been my Schnauzer's vet for his whole life. Dexter is almost ten years old. He was diagnosed with Gall Bladder issues about 7 years ago, which before and after that diagnosis he was given fantastic care by all staff members. I struggled financially for a a few years and that was taken into consideration by Dr. Paunovic. He believes in other treatments besides prescriptions and my dog is healthy and happy now. We use some herbal supplements and we have had success with Dexter's condition. The Dr. is gentle and kind and I would not hesitate to recommend him. The staff have always been helpful and they all seem to love animals. I now live in a different area than Coquitlam but I still go back for his inoculations etc. I would not hesitate to recommend Coquitlam Animal Hospital.

Even though 'wonderful' Dr. Lam is no longer with us, he has been replaced by 'wonderful' Dr. Paunivic, an equally experienced, understanding veterinarian. The staff are caring, attentive and professional and always loving to our "Dave" and he loves going to "visit". Want the best? Coquitlam Animal Hospital are it!

I went to him as a second opinion because i felt like I was being ripped off at another clinic with unnecessary tests.I didnt mention to him that it was a second opinion. He only recommended what was needed and gave plenty explaination as to why. Would recommend to friends and family.

I never feel that they are pushing medical services that are not necessary. The new extended hours is a huge convenience for us as well.

Took our cat in for some dental work. Everyone I spoke to on the phone or in person was friendly and helpful.
They called me the day before my cats appointment as a reminder, and provide extra information about the procedure.
The assistant called me a few times throughout the day to provide updates, and let me know how my kitty was doing.
When I went to pick my little guy up the nurse explained all about the medications and teeth cleaning techniques. It was clear and helpful.

I can't say enough good stuff about Dr Paunovic and the staff at the Coquitlam Animal Hospital. I have been going there for 4 years and can't imagine going anywhere else. Dr Paunovic is kind, smart, and gentle. He knows how to balance medical intervention against my geriatric cats' comfort, all while keeping my budget in consideration. The staff are knowledgeable and accommodating. Not only are these people amazing pet caregivers, they're fellow pet-nerds and friends.

I took my dog into Coquitlam Animal Hospital in order to bring her vaccinations up to date. When I first called to book the appointment, the receptionist (I think Danielle) was extremely friendly, thorough and accommodating while booking the appointment on the phone. I also received a friendly and professional greeting when I brought my dog in on the day of her appointment. The vet, Dr. Nenad Paunovic, took extra care of her with great patience, when she was slightly distressed with the shots. I'm so glad to have found an amazing vet in the area.

Had to get our dog in to get looked at due to an injury to his ribs, and Coquitlam Animal Hospital were amazing at finding time to look at him - even though they were completely booked for the day, they took him on site so that the vet could assess him between appointments. I am so impressed with the care and attention that these people have for my pet.

Such a friendly and accommodating staff. We just moved to the lower mainland and were in need of a vet for our newly rescued dog. We were so pleased with our visit to the Coquitlam Animal Hospital and would highly recommend it to anyone in need of a good, trustworthy vet. The prices were completely reasonable and the vet was knowledgable and friendly. They were happy to thoroughly explain the diagnosis and treatment plan for our pet and took the time to ensure we understood our dog's condition. Thank you to the wonderful staff for a great experience and easing the difficulty of an unwell pet!

I called a whole bunch of Vets in the area this Saturday am as my cat was very sick and nobody would fit me in. I called Coquitlam Animal hospital and they fit me in right away even though they were booked up. They really care and have been calling me quite a few times this week to check on Lynx. Dr. Paunovic has called me twice himself and explained all of her tests to me and didn't rush me off the phone. Lynx is so mych better now thanks to Dr. Paunovic and the great staff. So happy to find them!

I needed a vet quickly and was turned away by 10 other clinics who said they were either full for appointments today or that their doctors had gone. Dr. Paunovic was off, his reception called him and he came back just to see our little cat. Both he and his team were amazing and our kitty is so much better tonight. The dedication and care is second-to-none.
