Do NOT use Mundy Animal Hospital. Do NOT let your animal anywhere near this vet. We used this vet to spay our dog, on the recommendation of our rescue service. Post-spay, our dog has not been doing well - the sutures were loose and blood started dripping from her wound at about 6pm . It started to naturally open up without her bothering the wound at all. We called the vet to get help and he refused to see her until the next morning, insisting that it was normal to have blood dripping within 24 hours of the surgery. So we brought her in the following morning after a night of having her belly tied off with gauss. The vet then proceeded to bring me and my wife to the back with him. He then, WITHOUT anesthetic or painkiller, asked US to hold her down on the table (which had a dirty towel on it with other dog's hair) for him to do a few more stitches. Which, of course, didn't go well, seeing as any living animal would freak out. Her wound opened more when she was freaking out, so there was then more blood. All this while not wearing a surgical mask while trying to suture an open wound. We would have taken her away instantly and gone to another vet had it not been for our concern of the wound being even more open. When we got back, she was absolutely terrified and ran out of the door, peeing the whole way, because she wasn't put on a lead to bring her out to me (despite having fresh stitches). The new external stitches are bulging, uneven, and downright poorly done. It's now three days on and the wound is still bleeding. My dog has done nothing other than sleep, to the point that it's difficult getting her to eat treats, despite being an active breed. Do NOT let your animal anywhere near this vet. Read Less

My husband brought my cat Bella in to get fixed about a month ago. I was unfortunately out of town visiting family so I was not able to come and meet the vet and see the environment my cat was being treated in. As far as I was told the procedure went well and she was taken care of wonderfully. The woman at the front desk was sweet and caring and helped when ever we had questions or concerns after the procedure and helped us over the phone which was great! Well, about a week ago I noticed a lump in my cats shoulders, I then took her back to get checked and what I experienced was nothing but uncomfortable and made me extremely angry. Dr. Sandals was rough with her, grabbed her by the skin on her neck aggressively pulling her towards him ( which is "okay" to do when they are a kitten but my cat is 4 years old) and I felt Bella's energy change and get aggressive and scared the moment he laid hands on her. She is a extremely person friendly cat and has NEVER reacted this way to any other vet who has been gentle and sweet during other vet checkups. She is actually extremely submissive and trusting, as soon as she could she ran away and hid under a chair and hissed at me when I went to grab her to take her home; which she NEVER has done as well. I was so uncomfortable and angry I had to bite my tongue because I wanted to know what this lump was on my animal. As soon as he told us it was not a concern, I could not get her out of there quick enough. I am still very enraged by this experience and will NOT be bringing her back to this vet. I can only pray he did not deal with her after her procedure because if he did I can only imagine how scarred and uncomfortable she was. I want to express I hold nothing against the receptionist because she was wonderful and very knowledgable but because of how rough this vet was with my cat I will never return. I hope no one else's animal has to go through what Bella did. Read Less

We've been using Mundy animal hospital and Dr Sandlas for 10 years, and would highly recommend to anyone. His care for the well being of the animal is his highest priority. He has overseen the double knee surgery for one of my dogs, and the leg surgery on the other. Both dogs are still with me today 3 and 6 years later respectively.
