I really like this place, they're consistently nice and clearly care about the animals that are brought in. The vet called me back to check how my kitty was doing after being put on antibiotics and asked about him again when I brought in one of my other kitties. Very disappointed with the level of care and service at this clinic. My cat was very ill and they discharged him from their care because they did not have a Doctor from Saturday evening until Wednesday. They made absolutely no transitional provisions for care (to another Doctor or Clinic in FSJ). I had to scramble to find another Vet because my cat was deteriorating quickly upon taking him home. Luckily I called North Peace Vet Services and have not looked back since. Read Less

I used to love the whole experience at the hospital....Justin was great! Although....as per my last 2 visits....I would have to say...I will never attend there again with my fur babies! I will definitely be switching vet clinics. I did give them a chance to make the situation right....I have left 2 messages for Justin to contact me....unfortunately that hasn't happened. Rivers animal hospital - Justin and staff. We just lost our beloved pet. They worked hard to find the issue, keeping us informed and making sure we totally understood everything they knew and even when they had no answers, they were honest. In the end letting our boy pass was the best option & Justin called us personally to explain and say how sorry he was. Our boy was treated with love and kindness until the end while in their care the 4 years we had him and we as pet owners couldn't ask for better ppl to care for our pets when we need them. Every time I've came in has been positive. River's staff was so caring and even sent us a beautiful card when we had to put our beloved cat, Darcy, down. They put on a weight loss clinic and helped our other cat, Toothless, lose 10% of her body weight! They've helped us with food questions and tried to help us with a cat we found. I have been going to Rivers since the day they opened! I was once the crazy Yorkie lady who would call all hours of the day or night with issues. Now I am the crazy cat lady. I've dealt with Rivers Animal Hospital for many years and have always had wonderful service.   The veterinarians and staff are compassionate and my experience is they always go above and beyond to help my pets, and also take the time to ensure I am comfortable with the information that I'm given.  They "get" that our pets are members of our family and treat them as such.  I had an instance where my dog was ill and the vet met me at the clinic late at night to ensure my dog was ok and didn't make me feel like I was inconveniencing him at all.  I would recommend this clinic to anyone. I have been dealing with this business for years and have to say I have had nothing but professional, compassionate, over and above service.  I have had minor and major surgeries done to 2 of my pets and actually received a call from the Vet at 8:30pm at night just to say he was in doing checks and just wanted me to know that my pet was doing well, that was all he called for, so the leaving the dogs in cages, well I have a hard time grasping that. His call was very much appreciated! I also stopped in after work to check on my pet after surgery and they were more than happy  to let me go to the back to see her.  I was impressed because one of the staff was placing warm towels on a dog that just got out of surgery and was sitting with it petting it's head. With appointments I have received more than enough information on any questions or care I have inquired about. The business is always clean and friendly and the staff are fantastic..  My one pet has a chronic illness and the Vet there is the only one who actually diagnosed it. I took her to 3 other vet clinics  with no luck, he is the one who after 2 months of research and  testing finally, finally, figured it out, I have had her on the required medication now for 4 years with no problems. I am shocked at the last review as this has in no way been my experience,  I have recommended this hospital and will continue to do so in the future. I'm staying put, because and only because my pets are very, very well cared for there and have received fantastic service. Read Less

i took my cat in to be neutered and dewormed.  he died 5 days later even after we brought him back to be looked at again. dont EVER bring an animal here. after this happened i asked other people about this place, dogs left in cages for 5 days with dislocated hips that they didnt help till they got thier money, people taking pets in for tracking chips and they come back with nasty infections.  this place is negligent and dangerous. if you love your pet dont go here.
