Advertise that they are open until eight. Went there at 6:20 to be told the vet had taken off early. But they were still open....with no vet.... and no one to see our hurt dog. WALK INS NOT WELCOME. Drove up from penticton to Asher rd vet as they advertised being open at 8 with an after hours emergency line that they apparently don’t answer. Vet tech arrived at 8, but the vet didn’t. She was very helpful but the vet didn’t feel like getting out of bed and so he wasn’t coming in till 10. Useless to advertise being open at 8 when there is no vet there for emergencies till 10 when he feels like coming in. Wouldn’t recommend. Read Less

We needed to find a vet clinic to have our kitten spayed. After calling over 10 vet clinics from Penticton to Vernon ,all quoting 250.00 to 350.00 including 'The SPCA which quoted us 350.00 RIP OFF PRICE". We finally found Asher Road Animal Hospital and his prices were very reasonable. We made an appointment and brought her in. We live in Summerland and made the trip to Rutland. It was bit of a drive but worth it. The surgery went well and they gave her excellent care. They gave us 2 days days of pain medicine and some food for her at no extra charge. and after 2 days they did a phone check to see how she was doing. This place is awesome and we didnt feel extorted for every dollar we had. If your looking to find a caring reasonably priced veterinarian this place is for you. This Is our new vet clinic. Read Less

Dr Kular has been fantastic with both of my cats! The first time I went to see him the examination fee was taken care of, free of charge, and my kitten recovered promptly after being treated with the antibiotics prescribed by Dr. Kular. He also was able to help us bring him up to date on his shots, which had been left incomplete since we adopted him so young. Then our older cat went into a state of emergency: skin and bones, not moving, not eating or drinking. We ended up le...aving our cat in Asher Road Animal Hospital's care for two nights, although they were willing to keep him longer with no extra fees if he needed the extra time. That really impressed me. Dr. Kular was also sympathetic to our money situation. He offered to accept approx. 60% of the total cost upfront and leave the rest to pay until when we were to pick our cat up. Our kitty ended up diagnosed and was prescribed treatment that was well within our budget after his stay. He is on the road to recovery and we cannot thank Dr. Kular enough! They are awesome! Always taking great care of my Kitties Bonnie, and Clyde. They are very accommodating with scheduling as it's a couple hour drive for me. They also have great rates. We decided to have our puppy spayed just before she was six months of age, which is the age suggested to spay a female dog. We chose Asher Road Veterinary Clinic to do the operation because of the good reviews and we were so pleased with Dr. Aman Kular! We immediately trusted him as he is so gentle and shows a real love of animals. Our puppy was just fine when we brought her home at the end of the day and the incision was very neatly stitched and she never had a problem with healing fast and without any complications. Also, this clinic included four days of pain medication with the surgery. In the end, the cost of the surgery, pain medication and a microchip (which they do at the same time if you choose your dog to have one) cost us about a hundred dollars less than the other Vet quoted us when we first got her at 10 weeks of age. The other Vet clinic charged you separately if you wanted pain medication for your pet. I couldn't believe that pain medication wouldn't be a given in such an operation! Also, this Doctor actually does the surgery (and does it well) where the other Vet clinic sends out the animal to have it done elsewhere. I also read that this Asher Road Veterinary Hospital is open later hours than most and on call for emergencies 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, including all holidays! Outstanding caring and services!!! If there is an emergency visit required during open hours of approximately 8 am to 8 pm most days (Saturday and Sunday shorter hours), you can just bring your pet in and they will see to him/her as soon as they can. This Vet clinic is about a 25 minute drive from our home where the other one is 5 minutes but we would much rather drive the 25 minutes out to see Dr. Aman Kular look after our pup! We definitely recommend Dr, Kular and his reception staff that we saw (one at the time of dropping off our pup for the surgery and another at the time of picking her up at 5:00 p.m.) were both friendly and knowledgeable too! I had to call around for my kittens and I choose the Asher vet due to the friendless on the phone and the way they were polite in answering my question and not expecting me to buy anything or do extra for my kittens. It is very clean and professional . I had an issue with one fighting the cone off and the other he was licking his wounds i expecting to leave a message as it was ten at night but it was dr. himself made me feel very safe and comfortable I highly recommend this clinic. Been here twice , once for surgery with my dogs eye , needed to return for second surgery on eye . My friend took him in for his appointment , while speaking to Doctor , my friend suspected alcohol on his breath , thanks that the doctor suggested to postpone surgery for another day . Excellent veterinary care by very compassionate and knowledgeable Veterinarian and staff. They always make you feel welcome and treat you and your animals like a part of their family. The prices are very reasonable and the fact that they have extended hours and are available in case of emergencies 24/7 is amazing! I can not express enough how wonderful Dr. Kular and his great receptionist Lorraine are. We are so lucky to have found such a caring and knowledgeable vet clinic to take our lab Scooter for his care. An added perk is how affordable they are. Charged us $550 for essentially nothing. Gave us two options a $3000 surgery or advised us to put our cat down if we couldn't afford it. He also suggested our cat was suffering, so we had to act fast. So we took her to another vet, which thought surgery was a ludicrous option. Our cat is now perfectly healthy thanks to the work of a competent vet. I'd strongly suggest not going here. The vet seems to care little of animal welfare and mostly about money. Read Less
