I wish i could give this place more than a five star they take such good care of my little baby Aphrodite, i went to another vet that said that she had a respiratory infection and she didn't the rutland pet hospital ran a million test and found out my baby has mild ashma and she can finally breathe again! I cant thank you enough for helping my baby!!

I'm happy coming here, and so is Roland. We are always greeted with smiles and care. For the last visit Roland had his boy bits removed and an additional lump. The vets take the time to talk to me and make sure I'm comfortable. Surgery went well and Roland is back to 100%!

I feel like the prices are pretty reasonable, however we waited for at least 45 minutes after our scheduled...
As far as I know, this is the only place that has a resident reptile specialist in Kelowna.
I feel like the prices are pretty reasonable, however we waited for at least 45 minutes after our scheduled appointment time before seeing the vet, which is pretty insulting if you ask me. On top of this, our vet didn't seem very helpful, any advice we got was from very direct prompting by us, though he did seem very knowledgeable in his field.

I take great issue with the comments from 13wolfy13, and as a longtime client of Dr. DeYaegher, I need to respond. Dr. DeYaegher has been our avian vet since 2006. Since then, we have had 4 birds under his care, three of which have had special needs. Jake, a budgie born with one eye, and Skipper, a budgie severely abused and neglected by his owner before us. Jake and Skipper both had special physical and emotional needs and were cared for by Dr. DeYaegher with attention to those concerns. Finn, another budgie who came to us from the SPCA, whose previous owner was overly aggressive with her and broke her leg, is fearful of hands, and that issue, as well, is handled with care by Dr. DeYaegher. Katie, our cockatiel, is normal and healthy. Although, Last year, Katie broke a wing feather on a weekend and had to be rushed to Rutland Pet Hospital. We had never experienced any emergencies with our birds before this so we were quite panicked and scared, but Dr. DeYaegher was there to provide immediate emergency care for Katie and excellent follow-up, for which we are grateful.
All of our birds have received excellent care from Dr. DeYaegher. Not only does he care about the health and welfare of our birds but also cares about us, their owners. We take our birds in to see him for regular nail and wing care and during every visit he is conscientious and thorough with our birds and understanding of our needs as their owners. The technicians who help him with our birds are gentle and caring, as well. All the staff at Rutland Pet Hospital are terrific.

Was able to book an appointment same day, which was such a relief as I was getting kind of worried about my good budddy. The vet was really sweet and caring and totally understanding that he is sensitive about his behind and prone to growl at/ nip anyone poking around back there. When all was said and done, it was under $140 for his exam, medication, cream, and cone of shame, which was such a relief as I was worried it would be a large bill. Friendly staff and affordable! Thank you!

If you're looking for an Avian vet NOT HERE. Their 'specialist' wouldn't even handle the bird. Prescribed some general antibiotic and an expensive as hell soap. And to make matters worse, refused to do bloodwork, or any sort exploratory measures for my parrot. The final straw was when he stated that he'd amputate her leg if he thought it would get any worse. This so called 'vet' is a quak. Don't take your birdy here please! Go to Tri-lake.

Dr. Jay Cleroux and the rest of the team at Rutland Pet Hospital are simply the best! Our dog started to have seizures last week and he and the rest of the team went above and beyond for our dog.
Dr. Cleroux went out of his way to contact a local specialist to consult with him on the best possible testing options then spoke to a clinic in Vancouver to determine if we would be better off to take our dog there for more specialized testing. He reached out to us personally to go over all the options and was caring, compassionate and truly concerned about our dog's medical situation.
Rutland Pet Hospital has been our regular veterinary hospital from day one and we are so thankful for the care and attention our dog has received through every medical crisis. I highly recommend Rutland Pet Hospital!

The vet was super awesome, explained everything I needed to know about my dogs illness, was super kind and friendly. however, one of the receptionists was quite rude to me. I understand worrying about other animals catching "kennel cough" from a dog who has it, but being very rude and snappy at someone who just wants to help their animal is NOT going to help the business. 10 out of 10 suggest the receptionist needs an attitude check.

I feel like the prices are pretty reasonable, however we waited for at least 45 minutes after our scheduled appointment time before seeing the vet, which is pretty insulting if you ask me. On top of this, our vet didn't seem very helpful, any advice we got was from very direct prompting by us, though he did seem very knowledgeable in his field.

I take great issue with the comments from 13wolfy13, and as a longtime client of Dr. DeYaegher, I need to respond. Dr. DeYaegher has been our avian vet since 2006. Since then, we have had 4 birds under his care, three of which have had special needs. Jake, a budgie born with one eye, and Skipper, a budgie severely abused and neglected by his owner before us.
