By far the best vet I have been to (and I have been to a LOT). He was able to treat my very difficult German Shepherd with no issues at all when other vets could not handle him. Did not overcharge or try to sell me things I didn't need and clearly just wanted to do what was best for me and my dog. Highly recommend him to anyone! Amazing experiences! Read Less

I heard great things about Dr. Lau prior to going and seeing him. I got in the vet room and got a lecture about a human ailment and treatment for myself if I had a tick rather than my dog and then instead was told it's rare in dogs. I went in for sores under my dogs tail (that concerned me it could be tick related since we just came back from a trip in california). Nowhere was the tail even remotely inspected. I was quickly told it was a puncture wound....how would that be possible if my dog is always closely with me with no attack to her from an animal???? I was told what I already knew about the leg. I left feeling like I didn't understand what I paid money for. When I returned home I saw my dog licking again under her tail and I inspected even more. Her entire underneath area of her tail is a bright red. It's inflamed and she has multiple sores up her back part of tail. I don't get how u just returned from the vet and this was not inspected properly. I still have no advice as to what those sores are, whether tick related, hot spots or something else.... what treatment is needed??? I now have made another call to find a good vet who can actually look at this properly rather than lecturing me and spouting information off that's unrelated while my dog continues to have sores up her tail. Got a reminder in mail to do a vaccination for my dog. I called the clinic and asked if we can do it ourselves, since our dog has a behavioral issues and anxiety being in the vehicle and visiting a vet clinic (after 3 surgeries), which makes it impossible to bring him in (we live in Maple Ridge). It's a very simple procedure and all we need is the vaccine, not extra headache and stress. They simply refused because it is not recommended. No any further explanation... I am ready to sign whatever that I won't hold them responsible. Simply terrible attitude and refusal to understand another person's situation. One star 100%. P.S. by the way when my dog was badly injured, they also refused a surgery because they don't do emergencies. Read Less

All About Pet Clinic is amazing. Dr. Lau is a great vet, he's extremely knowledgeable and he really has the pet and the clients best interest in mind. He is practical with his advice and treatments and I've always felt comfortable in the service he's providing. He and his staff are great to deal with, always polite and friendly. He has even taught my dog to "catch" her treats! My parents took their dog to Dr. Lau for several years and we have been taking our dog here for the past year and have had nothing but great experiences. Dr. Lau is the bomb! He will never advise you to over-vaccinate your pet for money. He pointed out that my male dog had gotten a shot intended for female dogs and that was completely unnecessary (based on my dog's vet record previously from Killarney animal hospital). Obviously he is very caring and knowledgeable.Some vets that I've brought my miniature American Eskimo to have been unskilled in administering shots. Dr. Lau calms my dog and feeds him a treat so he doesn't even notice he's gotten a shot! Such a skilled vet. Please consider him as he has clinic locations in Richmond and Langley. I am a professional breeder and trainer of working dogs and have been using Tony Lau as my vet for 30 years. I have never seen a better surgeon in humans let alone animals. His work can simply be described as beautiful. He is extremely warm hearted towards animals and can be absolutely trusted to tell you he doesn't know something, if he doesn't. Dr. Lau is hands down the best vet in the area! We've been taking our many family pets to him for at least 15 years, he has an awesome 'bedside manner', everything from shots to needing a pet put down, he has always been gentle and caring.
