We have used this vet for six years and the service has always been hit or miss. The vets change often and you get conflicting diagnosis' from each one. We had our dog in for a toe issue and an infected ear. They focused on the toe and recommended amputation at $1,000. They also gave a lot of medication that made her have bloody stools and just generally listless and not herself. We kept taking her back in hopes that she would get better and only seemed to get worse. They kept giving new prescriptions and she never seemed to get better I said enough is enough and stopped all the medication. She picked up almost overnight. We took her to a different vet when she had another toe issue and it turns out she was infecting her toe from scratching an infected ear. Once the ear treatment was addressed, her toe healed itself. She had a toe amputation for nothing. We had a 4:30 appointment yesterday and due to traffic we ran a little late. I didn't think this would be an issue as they have never taken us at our scheduled time, we have always had to wait at least 15 minutes or longer, even up to 40 minutes. With an empty reception room and an empty parking lot, we were told that we missed our appointment and would we like to reschedule for 45 later. I was shocked. I said you have never been on time for us, now we are a little late and you refuse to see us? We will never to back to this vet again. Enough is enough Read Less

Called in the morning to make an appointment for same day as my dog was unable to walk. Receptionist booked appointment for 2:30. when we arrived she said we were a no show as our appointment was booked for 2:00. I explained that I was most certainly told 2:30 and they should still see us as it was the receptionists error and not mine. She said she was sorry and that there was nothing they could do, because they were all booked up...meanwhile we tried to load my dog (a large German shepherd) back into my suv and he fell trying to get into vehicle. He ended up curled up under the bumper trembling and whimpering, unable to get up. He was in so much pain he was starting to growl. We went back in to ask for help from the Vet. I was told she was on a phone call and was unable to help. We had to use a stretcher to load him back into the vehicle and take him to an emergency clinic. It's pretty disappointing going to these clinics and getting zero help. I know that most of the people that get into Veterinary work do it for the love of animals, but it most certainly didn't feel like that there. Though the some of staff were mostly kind and sympathetic, kindness didn't help when the dog needed it most. Read Less

"it probably popped up over night but I don't know so she needs a full examination" how about taking accountability , We aren't all dolts with no knowledge of Veterinarian health.~~ if the vet did determine it developed up after the vet visit (within 24hours essentially) and they did not miss it, why couldn't she then determine whether to charge me for another examination. rather then simply saying either way you need to pay? That's essentially implying on the business's behalf that they can make no mistakes, The question then LAC is why would your Vets firmly imply that the business and the employees can make no mistakes and have no interest in serving people to the fullest without having to re charge for negligence. zero possibility really? they could have missed this. Really? Update: It turned out to be a infected wound, Certainly did not happen over night, and was not a skin condition that could develop over night thanks for missing this LAC and taking our money leaving us with questions, and too think you guys wanted to Xray the first time we brought her in. I have been here a few times now over the past 5 years. It is an extremely busy clinic. They treat more than domestic animals which may help explain why they are. Not only have my experiences been good here, they have gone above and beyond when I was left in a dismal position from an atrocious experience at another vet. They rescued my pup. We went to them to get our pup spayed and was told to keep her cone collar on to prevent her from chewing her stitches. We decided to take it off after a few days to give her a 5 minute break because she hated the darn thing. BIG MISTAKE. She tore out every stitch which left a gaping hole in her gut. I put back her cone collar and rushed her to the emergency in Langley. They were brutal and refused to stitch her up and said that they needed to put her under again to do surgery. I told them no way and insisted the they stitch her. There is no way I was going to have my pup put under anesthesia so close to just coming out from her previous surgery ... way to dangerous. They refused to help so I took her home and waited up all night with her to keep her still and then took her here without an appointment first thing in the morning They not only fixed her up but they took her immediately and never even charged me. They stitched her right up in front of me and put a little drainage plug in and gave me antibiotics. She made a full recovery and I have this clinic to thank for it. Amazing staff who really cared for my pet and me in my time of crisis. The other place seemed only concerned about making money NOT MY DOGS WELL BEING ... these guys were the exact oposite! Read Less

On Sunday our cat was not in a good way - despite calling late in the day they were able to get our cat in for an appointment here that same day and immediately be seen by a vet. After running tests, the following day we had to admit our cat into the hospital part of the clinic. I felt like they really wanted to make sure our cat was happy and as comfortable as he could be in his enclosure despite his condition. Every one of the technicians in the hospital clearly cares a lot for the animals there and were able to give us updates on his status and relay information from the vet. The only downside of this clinic Is they are very busy, so sometimes you have to wait 10-25 mins even when you are there at the scheduled time. Our cat was there for 3 days and overall we were very impressed with all the staff and the level of care our cat received during his stay there, the bill was much lower than we expected too. This place, is horrible. Do yourself the favour and take your pets somewhere else. I've had numerous problems coming here in the past while, and they don't charge cheap for their incompetent services. -I called during the summer to make an ultrasound appointment for my pregnant dog, and the receptionist did it without a fuss. When I arrived three weeks later, after waiting almost an hour in a nearly empty waiting room, I was informed in fancy Vet lingo that it was far too early for an ultrasound, and that I would have to come back in a couple weeks. They even attempted to charge me for the ultrasound I never got. Despite my annoyance, I made another appointment. I arrived 10 minutes early just so I could sit around for around for an additional 30 minutes to be told that the Vet who performs ultra sounds was NoT AvAiLabLE, and that we would have to book a THIRD appointment and come back in a couple hours. Wonderful. -I've mistakenly brought my cat here too a few times too. His first appointment went okay, aside from the obligatory 20 minutes you are required to wait before your appointment, I got my diagnosis and was told to have a seat as the meds would be ready in a few minutes. I spent the next forty five minutes listening to my distressed cat yowling in his kennel while the lady at the desk continued to assure me in five minute intervals that "It would only be a few more minutes", meanwhile several people who arrived after me had gotten their meds and left. -The second time I brought my cat in with an infection on his chin that was bleeding and swollen. The Vet (her name Katherin) took one look at him, told me he had Feline Acne gone bad and that I needed to scrub his chin and give him some antibiotics. At the time, I had no idea cats could even get acne, so I was expecting her to give me more details; sadly I was mistaken, as she remained silent. I tried to prompt her by asking a few questions like: "How hard should I be scrubbing? Should I be trying to clean out the acne? What should I scrub with? How many times a day?" and her response was "Once a day, we'll give you some soap you can clean it with, and you just have to scrub." She was rude, very uninformative, and seemed put off by the fact that I didn't know what Feline Acne was (pardon me for not being a Vet). I ended up going home and finding out the details of his condition myself with the help of google, which I got more helpful information from than I did from the people who I pay for the convenience of not having to do so. Its been eight days of religious daily chin washings and antibiotics, and his chin hasn't improved even slightly. She seemed more invested in getting the appointment over with rather than helping me out. The other vets I've had (such as Laura and Nick) were quite nice, and very helpful. This lady was the furthest thing possible from helpful or kind. -They also, without fail, are always late in giving my my vaccine reminders for my pets, or I don't get a reminder at all. My best advice? Take your pets somewhere else. I've been bringing my pets here since I was a kid, and once upon a time they were a very reliable Veterinarian Office, but as of late it's been a repertoire of bad customer service, scatter brained receptionists, infuriating wait times, and now unhelpful Veterinarians. I was begrudgingly willing to tolerate the receptionists dippy mannerisms because ultimately they aren't the ones operating on my pets, but after my encounter with the ignorant middle aged woman thats working there, I won't be going back there anytime soon, save to find out when my pets are due for their next set of vaccines. I recommend Brookswood Vet Clinic. The man who works there is friendly, answers all your questions, and really knows how to keep you and your pet calm during appointments. Less waiting time as well. This place was recommended to me by a friend. The people here are awesome. I was a first time customer and unfortunately, it was also my last. :( I was helped by Doctor Anita Yee. I brought her my precious Munchkin as she was very sick. She diagnosed her condition in about 30 minutes including x-rays and blood tests. This place is so well equipped and clean. I am a black and white tell it like it is person, so was Doctor Yee but very compassionately... I so much appreciated her honesty. I don't know that name of her assistant but she was also very supportive while I was processing the situation.. They could have totally strung me along to spend thousands of dollars that your typical "A" clinic would have surely done. I had to leave my little furball there and she is now no longer in pain and in a better place. I will be sure to tell everybody I know with a precious animal to go there. Thanks so much ladies. Greg. I used to drive much further to go to a recommended vet that a friend trusts. After getting left hanging with short business hours and days they werent open I switched to Langley Animal Clinic. My cat has many issues as she was sick with feline herpes when I got her from the shelter. The new vet at L.A.C. has been awesome. Saved my lil girls eyes. I feel better every time I get to get my cat in to this vet. Im counting the last couple hours till they open and I can get her in there right now as her eyes are flaring up. But if anything sets this Vet above others it is the hours: 8am-9pm, mon- sat. 8:30-9pm on sun. These hours allow for quick appointments on any day of the week. There when you need them... Im holding my breath and I dont think they will let me down. Even though its monday and most people are having the day off for New Years I still have faith that they will be open today. If not Im calling the emergency number. Speaking of, when I called yesterday (closed for New Years) it forwarded me to a lady who takes the calls when they are closed (which is rare). She gave me an emergency number in case I couldnt wait. I love that the one time they were closed when I called there was still someone there to give me the info I needed. Read Less

Great with our dog. The staff was friendly and kind. Probably use more of them as the front desk seemed very busy.

I am a dairy farmer and I've had very good luck with their vets. Their hours are also very nice being able to go after work is awesome.

Read Less
