Dr Orser is very experienced and knowledgeable vet. The center has generous business hours but is not 24x7. It's a teaching facility so you sometimes get a student who is not as good. Dispensing fees are reasonable for a vet's office and there is a reserved parking lot with a charger for electric cars. Coffee and gooies are offered in the waiting room.

We initially switched to Alouette Animal hospital because our little dog required ortho surgery and our vet recommended we consult an ortho surgeon. Right away we were able to talk with Dr. Orser over the phone. He answered all of our questions and shared that he was confident in performing the surgery. We were previously told he would need to be sedated for a bone x-ray at our previous clinic. Dr. Orser was able to do it right away-no sedation and he was very calm after, I n...oted a huge change in how he acted in the veterinary environment. My husband and I couldn't be more thankful with the care and support we have received from all the staff at Alouette and Dr. Orser. Going through these surgeries was a big deal for our family and everyone was very supportive and always accessible when help was needed. We have since moved all 3 of our pets into his care and we live 30 mins away. We have no problem taking the extra commute time as it is so worth it. Thank you Alouette! They have been our vet for 15 yrs especially Dr Orser and just recently been with us as we said good bye to one member of our family. I appreciate that it wasn't done in the regular treatment room like I was expecting but in a warm living room setting where we could stay until we were ready to leave him. They were very compassionate while our hearts were breaking.

It was clean and welcoming and already received a thank you card in the mail less than a week later. Awesome job!!!!!

Took my friends great dane to get his teeth cleaned because he's a tad on the aggressive side with other dogs but a little more controllable with me. She didn't feel confident doing it so I volunteered. The staff were super friendly, the receptionist made sure no other dogs were in the reception area and got us into an exam room right away. The office manager (Twyla) was super nice, took her time with the dog In a manner that really helped calm him before going into his kennel. She went the extra step to calm and reassure me (not that I needed it) non the less I thought it was a kind gesture. One of the staff was a big fan of the dog and took him for a walk and seemed to really care. Over all a great experience.

Very disappointed. We are new to the area but have taken our dog here at least twice, once for an exam and blood work and once for a tail wound. On a Sunday his wound began bleeding again and I felt it needed to be looked at. When I called I was told the vet was already overbooked and I wouldn't be able to bring the dog in. I said I understood but asked that a vet tech call to advise me. I was told that would happen. I applied pressure to the wound and eventually was able to stop the bleeding...luckily since I never did receive a call. At 7 that evening the tail wound began bleeding profusely and neither my husband nor I could get it to stop. We finally had to take him to the emergency clinic in Langley where after quite a while they were able to stop the bleeding. We returned home after 3 hours with a hefty emergency room bill as well as antibiotics and a sedative for the dog. I might also add that both my car and my kitchen were covered with blood. We were also told to follow up with our regular vet. Needless to say, that won't be Alouette!

Very disappointed in Alouette. We are new to the area, but we have taken our dog here at least twice, once for an exam and blood work and once to have a tail wound looked at. On a Sunday our dog began bleeding again from the earlier tail wound. I felt he needed to be checked out, but when I called about noon I was told the vet was too busy to squeeze me in. I said I understood and asked if a vet tech could call me though to advise me. I was told I would receive a phone call. In the meantime I applied pressure to the wound and was able to stop the bleeding...fortunately because I never received a phone call. That evening about 7 the bleeding began again, and neither my husband nor I could stop it, in spite of applying pressure constantly. My husband had to call the Emergency clinic in Langley where we were told to bring him in. My kitchen and car were literally covered in blood by the time we got him there. Even at this clinic it was difficult for the vet and the techs to stop the bleeding, but finally they were able to. We returned home after 11 with quite a hefty vet bill, antibiotics and sedatives and instructions to change the dressing daily as well as contact our regular vet. At this point I know for sure it won't be Alouette!

I have always received fantastic service from this clinic. I have nothing but good things to say about them. And today was no exception. We had our special needs, senior dog put to sleep tonight and the service was just so good I felt like I needed to share my experience. Every aspect of the appointment was exceptional. The special room for euthanasia is amazing, the front office staff was professional, kind and compassionate, the vet and her technician were skilled and supportive. Everything went smoothly, it was such a smooth process, my old boy, who normally freaks out when handled by anyone strange to him, was so calm. I just have so much gratitude for everyone at Aloutte Animal Hospital. You are one of the very best in your industry. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart for everything.

We are so happy with Alouette Animal Hospital and that Dr. Orser is our regular vet. He remembers our animals from year to year, is incredibly knowledgeable and professional, and truly cares about what he does. He is also super fun to chat with, gives great advice, and makes his little patients feel at ease. We have had many pets seen there and have experienced many services. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Orser and his associates. We love visiting Alouette! The practice is very welcoming and the staff are so nice and helpful. I love stealing their fresh baked cookies! Every time we go, our little dog, Cooper, is treated like a little prince and Hunter, our big golden boy, is loved and treated to pats and treats. Thank you Dr. Orser for making vet visits less stressful, and for helping us continue on our healthy journey!

I'm extremely disappointed with how today went. Our dog of 14 years had many health issues for awhile and we felt it was his time to be put down. While at the vet we went into the private room where Dr.Michael Orser questioned our decision and asked if we wanted to fix our deaf, blind dog who also had a swollen stomach and couldn't get up to go outside and as a result defecated all over himself. After deciding to go forth, it took Dr.Michael Orser 3 times to find a vein while our dog cried from being poked. Not only is putting down your pet a traumatic experience, this just made it so much worse. This is not professional or humane.

Took my dog there to get neutered, because the place we adopted him from recommended them. The entire time we were there, they didn't ask at all about his puppy teeth, and they told us he had fleas, despite the fact that the other vets we've been to tell us he doesn't. We can't see any fleas on him, and since he's started his treatment his skin condition hasn't improved. The vets here didn't use dissolvable stitches, and when they brought him out he didn't have a cone on. They gave us a cone when we asked, but I was under the impression that after any major surgery a cone was part and parcel. Furthermore, after all this was said and done, they made us wait an hour to pay, which is fine, but after several red flags and a day at work, we were less than pleased. With regard to the flea treatment, I am fine with covering all the bases, and the process of elimination, but I would be far happier if they had been honest with us on that front, as opposed to simply saying "he has fleas." All in all, the service was relatively friendly, but due to the general feeling of unease I felt and the aforementioned issues, we will not be returning. We shall continue to take our dog to our usual vet in Mission, whom we've never had an issue with. All in all, a very sour experience.

We have been taking our fur babies to Alouette Animal Hospital for about 11 years now, and have always been pleased with the care they have gotten by the lovely, friendly and caring staff. In the last week, I have been even more impressed with their care and compassion. I would like to thank all of the staff for the care and love they gave our girl Wilma while she was suffering and in pain, while they figured out what was going on with her health wise. I would also like to give a special shout out to Dr. Chung for going above and beyond my expectations in the care she provided. Thank you from me and my family! I am happy to report Wilma is up and around and almost 100% again! (She would also like to say thank you :) )

I would recommend this animal hospital - I think we could trust doctors' knowledge and skills there. And staff was very nice.

In short, today Alouette delivered a wonderful euthanasia experience for my latest and greatest pug baby. From start to finish, the staff was very sweet and compassionate. Buffy got to clown around on the furniture and sniff rose-scented candles. She loved flowers. Only thing lacking was a tissue box but perhaps some people use entire boxes. I don't know.Buffy was in the best hands possible and I'm glad I was able to make the drive out from Vancouver / Gastown.I have been using AAH for over 20 years. I apologize for my previous unfair review, which I deleted. I was not in a good mood that day. This will always be my go-to clinic, no matter the distance. That is the committment level I need to make to my future pets and will have to suck up the commute. Can't beat AAH.

My little 10lb chihuahua mix was attacked on our property by a Coyote recently and needed to see a vet on a Sunday when my usual vet wasn't open. My dog wasn't bleeding, rather puncture marks on the neck where it tried to grab her but they got me in within an hour to make sure she was OK.Dr. Lauren Martin was the vet we saw and she absolutely amazing. She explained what happens in these types of attacks and what the plan would be over the next 48 hours. The facility itself is super clean and bright with natural light and there is coffee, juice and water while you wait. On my second visit they even made me a coffee and served it to me!The front staff are crazy friendly and everyone seems to enjoy what they are doing. Price wise I think they are pretty much the norm and there were no surprises.Dr. Martin will now be our new vet and already made an appointment to take my German Shepherd into see her for her yearly checkup. Thanks again Alouette Animal Hospital.

Dr Orser is very experienced and knowledgeable vet. The center has generous business hours but is not 24x7. It's a teaching facility so you sometimes get a student who is not as good. Dispensing fees are reasonable for a vet's office and there is a reserved parking lot with a charger for electric cars. Coffee and gooies are offered in the waiting room.

We initially switched to Alouette Animal hospital because our little dog required ortho surgery and our vet recommended we consult an ortho surgeon. Right away we were able to talk with Dr. Orser over the phone. He answered all of our questions and shared that he was confident in performing the surgery. We were previously told he would need to be sedated for a bone x-ray at our previous clinic. Dr. Orser was able to do it right away-no sedation and he was very calm after, I n...oted a huge change in how he acted in the veterinary environment. My husband and I couldn't be more thankful with the care and support we have received from all the staff at Alouette and Dr. Orser. Going through these surgeries was a big deal for our family and everyone was very supportive and always accessible when help was needed. We have since moved all 3 of our pets into his care and we live 30 mins away. We have no problem taking the extra commute time as it is so worth it. Thank you Alouette! They have been our vet for 15 yrs especially Dr Orser and just recently been with us as we said good bye to one member of our family. I appreciate that it wasn't done in the regular treatment room like I was expecting but in a warm living room setting where we could stay until we were ready to leave him. They were very compassionate while our hearts were breaking.

I can't say enough about my experience there. From the front end staff to the doctors and the environment itself. I am not a wealthy person and they went out of their way to help me get what I needed with no up selling me on things that were unnecessary. It was clean and welcoming and already received a thank you card in the mail less than a week later. Awesome job!!!!!

Took my friends great dane to get his teeth cleaned because he's a tad on the aggressive side with other dogs but a little more controllable with me. She didn't feel confident doing it so I volunteered. The staff were super friendly, the receptionist made sure no other dogs were in the reception area and got us into an exam room right away. The office manager (Twyla) was super nice, took her time with the dog In a manner that really helped calm him before going into his kennel. She went the extra step to calm and reassure me (not that I needed it) non the less I thought it was a kind gesture. One of the staff was a big fan of the dog and took him for a walk and seemed to really care. Over all a great experience.

Very disappointed. We are new to the area but have taken our dog here at least twice, once for an exam and blood work and once for a tail wound. On a Sunday his wound began bleeding again and I felt it needed to be looked at. When I called I was told the vet was already overbooked and I wouldn't be able to bring the dog in. I said I understood but asked that a vet tech call to advise me. I was told that would happen. I applied pressure to the wound and eventually was able to stop the bleeding...luckily since I never did receive a call. At 7 that evening the tail wound began bleeding profusely and neither my husband nor I could get it to stop. We finally had to take him to the emergency clinic in Langley where after quite a while they were able to stop the bleeding. We returned home after 3 hours with a hefty emergency room bill as well as antibiotics and a sedative for the dog. I might also add that both my car and my kitchen were covered with blood. We were also told to follow up with our regular vet. Needless to say, that won't be Alouette!

Very disappointed in Alouette. We are new to the area, but we have taken our dog here at least twice, once for an exam and blood work and once to have a tail wound looked at. On a Sunday our dog began bleeding again from the earlier tail wound. I felt he needed to be checked out, but when I called about noon I was told the vet was too busy to squeeze me in. I said I understood and asked if a vet tech could call me though to advise me. I was told I would receive a phone call. In the meantime I applied pressure to the wound and was able to stop the bleeding...fortunately because I never received a phone call. That evening about 7 the bleeding began again, and neither my husband nor I could stop it, in spite of applying pressure constantly. My husband had to call the Emergency clinic in Langley where we were told to bring him in. My kitchen and car were literally covered in blood by the time we got him there. Even at this clinic it was difficult for the vet and the techs to stop the bleeding, but finally they were able to. We returned home after 11 with quite a hefty vet bill, antibiotics and sedatives and instructions to change the dressing daily as well as contact our regular vet. At this point I know for sure it won't be Alouette!

I have always received fantastic service from this clinic. I have nothing but good things to say about them. And today was no exception. We had our special needs, senior dog put to sleep tonight and the service was just so good I felt like I needed to share my experience. Every aspect of the appointment was exceptional. The special room for euthanasia is amazing, the front office staff was professional, kind and compassionate, the vet and her technician were skilled and supportive. Everything went smoothly, it was such a smooth process, my old boy, who normally freaks out when handled by anyone strange to him, was so calm. I just have so much gratitude for everyone at Aloutte Animal Hospital. You are one of the very best in your industry. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart for everything.

We are so happy with Alouette Animal Hospital and that Dr. Orser is our regular vet. He remembers our animals from year to year, is incredibly knowledgeable and professional, and truly cares about what he does. He is also super fun to chat with, gives great advice, and makes his little patients feel at ease. We have had many pets seen there and have experienced many services. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Orser and his associates. We love visiting Alouette! The practice is very welcoming and the staff are so nice and helpful. I love stealing their fresh baked cookies! Every time we go, our little dog, Cooper, is treated like a little prince and Hunter, our big golden boy, is loved and treated to pats and treats. Thank you Dr. Orser for making vet visits less stressful, and for helping us continue on our healthy journey!

I'm extremely disappointed with how today went. Our dog of 14 years had many health issues for awhile and we felt it was his time to be put down. While at the vet we went into the private room where Dr.Michael Orser questioned our decision and asked if we wanted to fix our deaf, blind dog who also had a swollen stomach and couldn't get up to go outside and as a result defecated all over himself. After deciding to go forth, it took Dr.Michael Orser 3 times to find a vein while our dog cried from being poked. Not only is putting down your pet a traumatic experience, this just made it so much worse. This is not professional or humane.

Took my dog there to get neutered, because the place we adopted him from recommended them. The entire time we were there, they didn't ask at all about his puppy teeth, and they told us he had fleas, despite the fact that the other vets we've been to tell us he doesn't. We can't see any fleas on him, and since he's started his treatment his skin condition hasn't improved. The vets here didn't use dissolvable stitches, and when they brought him out he didn't have a cone on. They gave us a cone when we asked, but I was under the impression that after any major surgery a cone was part and parcel. Furthermore, after all this was said and done, they made us wait an hour to pay, which is fine, but after several red flags and a day at work, we were less than pleased. With regard to the flea treatment, I am fine with covering all the bases, and the process of elimination, but I would be far happier if they had been honest with us on that front, as opposed to simply saying "he has fleas." All in all, the service was relatively friendly, but due to the general feeling of unease I felt and the aforementioned issues, we will not be returning. We shall continue to take our dog to our usual vet in Mission, whom we've never had an issue with. All in all, a very sour experience.

We have been taking our fur babies to Alouette Animal Hospital for about 11 years now, and have always been pleased with the care they have gotten by the lovely, friendly and caring staff. In the last week, I have been even more impressed with their care and compassion. I would like to thank all of the staff for the care and love they gave our girl Wilma while she was suffering and in pain, while they figured out what was going on with her health wise. I would also like to give a special shout out to Dr. Chung for going above and beyond my expectations in the care she provided. Thank you from me and my family! I am happy to report Wilma is up and around and almost 100% again! (She would also like to say thank you :) )

Nice, welcoming place to come with your pet. We have (had) 3 cats and most of the time it was very good, positive experience. Except one time when a doctor incorrectly inserted thermometer into our cat's rectum and after that she had pain for several days.
I would recommend this animal hospital - I think we could trust doctors' knowledge and skills there. And staff was very nice.

In short, today Alouette delivered a wonderful euthanasia experience for my latest and greatest pug baby. From start to finish, the staff was very sweet and compassionate. Buffy got to clown around on the furniture and sniff rose-scented candles. She loved flowers. Only thing lacking was a tissue box but perhaps some people use entire boxes. I don't know.Buffy was in the best hands possible and I'm glad I was able to make the drive out from Vancouver / Gastown.I have been using AAH for over 20 years. I apologize for my previous unfair review, which I deleted. I was not in a good mood that day. This will always be my go-to clinic, no matter the distance. That is the committment level I need to make to my future pets and will have to suck up the commute. Can't beat AAH.

My little 10lb chihuahua mix was attacked on our property by a Coyote recently and needed to see a vet on a Sunday when my usual vet wasn't open. My dog wasn't bleeding, rather puncture marks on the neck where it tried to grab her but they got me in within an hour to make sure she was OK.Dr. Lauren Martin was the vet we saw and she absolutely amazing. She explained what happens in these types of attacks and what the plan would be over the next 48 hours. The facility itself is super clean and bright with natural light and there is coffee, juice and water while you wait. On my second visit they even made me a coffee and served it to me!The front staff are crazy friendly and everyone seems to enjoy what they are doing. Price wise I think they are pretty much the norm and there were no surprises.Dr. Martin will now be our new vet and already made an appointment to take my German Shepherd into see her for her yearly checkup. Thanks again Alouette Animal Hospital.
