Dr. Upjohn is the most sincere, caring, and knowledgeable vet that I have ever entrusted with my bun. I have a senior bun, who needs dental work every three months. Dr. Upjohn is careful and considerate with his treatment, adjusting his anesthesia dosage/medication to avoid further risk and to make sure that he recovers out of it quickly. He also takes time to explain how the procedure went. One time, when my bun sustained an injury, and I had to take him to the ER, I emailed Dr. Upjohn with what had happened, and what the ER vet had recommended as treatment. He took the time to call me the next day, on his day off, and speak to me about the course of treatment. A true testament to his character, and how much he cares. The staff at Head to Tail are friendly and helpful as well. Plus, the clinic is really reasonable with pricing. I pay around half what I was paying at a Vancouver clinic. I took my beardie to Dr. Upjohn and him and his staff were friendly, trustworthy and treated my beardie with care. Dr. Upjohn was very good at explaining what he was doing and what he was looking for. He answered all my questions and I didn't feel like I was being rushed out the door. I took my dog in to this vet with my own diagnosis of a bladder infection, and the vet felt her tummy and then took my word for it as a bladder infection and did not even take a temperature:( I was very disappointed with this and called the vet back to ask why this was not done and the lady on the other end of the phone was very displeased with me voicing my concerns about a temp not being taken.....when I looked on-line for what the vet check would entail, every site stated at temp would be the first thing done.(temperatures always indicate infections)So they sent us on our way with a generic ABX medication and a $110.00 bill!I would NOT recommend this vet for anyone with the outrageous prices and unacceptable check up. We brought our 6 mo kitten in for a neuter and 6 days later he died. It was an infection of the incisions that they had to make because one testicle hadn't dropped. We were given no antibiotics of any kind. We had paid $850 for this and of course they won't refund anything. It's just so shocking. Is this a good clinic? Maybe, but we checked with other vets after the fact and they have been saying that it's common to send any pet home with antibiotics after a surgery to fight off infection. I regret not knowing or insisting on this when we picked up our little guy. Read Less

I was looking for a new vet and got an appointment with Dr. Rebele. My dog was experiencing some redness behind his eye that has a cataract. Dr. Rebele examined his eye and took his eye pressure. He told me that my dog has glaucoma and will have to get his eye removed. I was devastated to hear this news. Dr. Rebele had said that he can do the eye removal himself or an eye specialist can do it. I told him that I would like to have a second opinion in order to see if anything can be done to save his eye. I ended up taking my dog to the eye specialist and it turns out that Dr. Rebele was wrong in his diagnosis. MY DOG COULD HAVE LOST HIS EYE BECAUSE OF HIM. I am so grateful that I chose to see a specialist that actually knew what she was talking about instead of this vet because I couldn't imagine putting my dog through losing his eye for no reason. The specialist told me that the eye pressure reading that Dr. Rebele took was way off because of the way he and the vet tech were holding my dog's head. I ended up spending $600 at Head to Tail Vet and the eye specialist because of this vet's wrong diagnosis. To top it off, the receptionist from Head to Tail called a few weeks later to book another appointment for my dog. I told her that I will no longer be bringing my dog in to that location. The receptionist could care less and just said "okay, bye." If you love your pets, DO NOT bring them to Head to Tail... who knows what body parts they will lop off just to make a buck. Read Less

Good care. I trust them with my beloved friends. They were compassionate when we lost our young cat to heart failure and our 14 year old dog to lung cancer.
