MISSION MIRACLE VET - Absolutely the BEST VET in the LOWER MAINLAND. Best animal surgeon available. I have lived in the Lower Mainland all my life, and have had pets since I was a child. Consequently I have been to more vet's offices than I can count, but I can tell you this:Cedar Grove Animal Hospital is the BEST VET I HAVE EVER BEEN TO, not just in Mission, but ANYWHERE in the Lower Mainland. Not only did they save my cat's life, but they fixed all the other, prior vet's mistakes also. Notice that I am the second reviewer to mention that Cedar Grove Vets caught the misdiagnoses of other vets I went to. BEWARE!At Cedar Grove they GENUINELY CARE ABOUT YOUR PET and THEIR WELLBEING, and they have the COMPETENCY and SKILLS to deal with any possible issue. (Unlike the other vets I went to, that 'pretended' to be kind and caring, to get me into an insurance policy and endless visits and charges.)My old cat had a strange growth on his belly since a kitten. Unfortunately at age 8, the growth had become very large, pendulous, and an impediment to his mobility - not to mention unsightly, and certainly a health concern. (It had become so large it dragged on the ground.)I had already gone to THREE other vets to look at this issue. One vet wasted my time by selling me extremely expensive (and lucrative for the vet) Metacam. Then she tried to talk me into giving my cat swimming lessons, as though the exercise would eliminate the large growth. Preposterous! The next vet agreed that the growth needed to be removed, and ran the initial test to confirm we could go ahead with the surgery. Then, when the results came back that the surgery was possible - she chickened out, telling me she didn't think she would be able to perform the surgery, given the location!!?!?! Well then why did you waste my time and money with the pre-surgery tests??!!?Cedar Grove Vet - Dr. Martin Rebele, immediately correctly assessed the issue with my cat, and clearly outlined a safe and well-thought-out course of action, which would culminate in the surgery. At his advice we took two weeks to get my cat stable and ready for the surgery, and then he BRILLIANTLY performed a perfect removal of the extremely large growth on my cat's abdomen. It's been a few months now, and my cat has NEVER looked better! He is fit, active - no longer encumbered by the weird growth. Cedar Grove Vets saved my cat, when no other vet could or would. I'm tearing up here because I am so sincerely grateful for Cedar Grove and Dr. Rebele saving my pet's life - that the other vets lacked the skills to do. THANK YOU. But wait - there's even more. I had to return about 2 weeks after the surgery, because I was concerned about infection on the incision site. I met with Dr. Hugh Upjohn who showed me how to make a simple poultice with epsom salts, that I could use to dry out and sterilise the wound. That's right: DIDN'T TRY TO SELL ME ANYTHING, no more drugs, no more cost - just educated me with a simple and perfectly effective home-remedy. The incision was dried up and clean in 2 days. Cedar Grove Vets are GOOD PEOPLE. I could not possibly recommend them more highly. If you love you pets, there's only one vet to go to. Thank you.A V E R Y Read Less
