This clinic is now a franchise... yes that says it all money is the motivating factor ....surgeries vaccinations and seeing clients pets every 40 minutes.How can you provide proper care or develop proper rapport with the client and their family member. If you do not FIT into their protocol then they do not want you as a client. Preventative care do no harm is really the best of the best way to care for our living family pets. The college of veterinary medicine is just like our human system of health care nothing but a monetary system based on their pharmaceutical treatment and surgeries to make as much money from a chronically reliable client...They disregard natural medicine because they know it works and since the early 21 century the system has bullied and manipulative the pen and paper of true native medicine.

If you’re an animal lover I would keep your pets far away from the “Hospital” they misdiagnosed my cat and she almost died. When asked why this was allowed to happen they ceased communication with me, ignored my calls and email and eventually wrote me letter letting me know they would no longer be able to provide care for my cat...WHY?!?? Cause they made an almost fatal mistake? One another area vet called “incompetent and completely irresponsible” please whatever you do reconsider using this clinic for your beloved pet, if I can stop others from this same experience I’ll feel like I at least did something as I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I didn’t at least try.

Absolutely the worst vets office I’ve been to in my life. Staff is rude and uncaring, the Dr’s are ruff with animals when only other staff is around and it’s common practice to upsell even recommending completely unnecessary dental and medical procedures. They buy fake google reviews to hide all the negative ones from being seen, but if you look they are there. Would not recommend using them in any circumstances I would rather drive out of town then ever use them again

Our pets are lemons, and these guys are great at fixing them up for us. Seriously though, the Veterinarians are as kind and genuine as they are knowledgeable. They're careful to explain any testing required, eager to talk you through their expertise on any diagnosis, and always provide us with an accurate estimate prior to treatment. They're as organized and prepared in an emergency scenario just as they are in a regularly scheduled appointment (we've done both!). Beyond that, they have always been extremely efficient in diagnosing and treating our pets which means that our pets are feeling better sooner. The front desk staff are efficient and kind, and always follow up via phone call to make sure our pets are feeling well after their visits. I wouldn't trust anyone else but them. Thanks Selkirk!

The veterinarian's and all the staff at Selkirk Vet are amazing. They genuinely care for the health of your pet, unlike any other vet I have been to before. When my 10 week old puppy was not acting well, they got him in the same afternoon to be seen. Not only the staff, but the vet herself both called and emailed me to follow up over the next few weeks to ensure my puppy was feeling better. Even though I came in on an "Emergency Visit" the price was no more than a regular visit, and they are overall very affordable. I highly recommend Selkirk Veterinary clinic for all your pet's healthcare needs!

The care included dental cleaning, dental surgery, diet changes, medication for a time, blood work, and more.
All the staff there is compassionate, knowledgable, and professional.

My cat and dog have been well cared for here. The Drs and support staff are friendly kind and very knowledgeable. Every time we have been in we have been given excellent care including an up front estimate for treatments. After my little dog went in to have his teeth cleaned and a few teeth removed, we received a follow up call the next day to see how my little dog was doing. I really appreciated this call a lot.

Selkirk Veterinary Clinic unfortunately put profit before the well being of our pet, recommending completely unnecessary procedures and even going as far as doing tests and procedures to our pet without gaining our go ahead or permission or even our input despite being readily available putting our beloved pet through unnecessary stress and pain. They then slapped us with an astronomic bill for said procedures. Not only that but the vets at this clinic don't seem to be very knowledgable at all when it came to the disease in our pet and couldn't offer any meaningful advice or info. I would strongly recommend finding a vet elsewhere with a little more common sense, patience and compassion. My rating is zero stars but could only go as low as one.

My partner and I brought our brand new 8 week old puppy into Selkirk Vet. As she is our first puppy ever, we were a little nervous about the whole vet experience. Walking into Selkirk was a breath of fresh air. Everything from Jacey's warm smiling welcome to Rebecca treating Ivy like she would treat her own fur baby. She was so gentle and playful and Ivy loved every minute of it - we had a hard time getting her out of the office! We have also worked quite a lot with Maude, who is just as wonderful. Always so kind, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. All in all, I couldn't have asked for a better veterinary experience. Thank you Selkirk from Kayla, Lee and Ivy!!

We came across this clinic as we were looking for someone to board our puppy for the day while we are camping in the area and were headed to the hot springs. We called to make sure it was possible and they thoroughly questioned us to make sure he would do well, which made us feel that we could trust them. We found out he needed one extra shot and they were able to do it right as they took him. The ladies at the clinic were some of the nicest people I have met and I love it when you can tell that people are passionate about their jobs, and these ladies definitely are. Last week I was in a very Bad way regarding my little red dog Ruby. I was told by my former vet that if I did not get a complete blood work up immediately on Ruby regarding the possibility of her having diabetes and kidney failure that she would probably be dead within a week. I was told that the blood work up was necessary in order to put her on the insulin that she needed for probable diabetes. However my vet I have had for 16 years also told me that if I didn't give her $265 immediately she would not do the test in order to give her the life-saving insulin. I was beside myself since I could not come up with $265 until the following Friday and was forced to seek help from Selkirk veterinary clinic. When I called them crying my eyes out and begging for help I was regarded with much respect and empathy and told to bring my dog in immediately and they would absolutely wait to be paid this one time and trust me and help my dog. Within the last week the test seven done the diagnosis was made and my dog was put on all of the medication that she needed including her incontinence and need of antibiotics. Today I took Ruby in to check her blood glucose levels after four injections of insulin and her test came back normal. Tomorrow I will go to the clinic and pay them as I promised. I can say nothing but wonderful things about Sellkirk veterinary clinic especially doctor Chart and dr. Gagnon. Dr.Gagnon and Dr. chart and the whole clinic has a lifelong client now. Thank you all very very much

The vets in this clinic unfortunately do not stand by the motto of compassion and animal care first. Unfortunately, I had to put my cat to sleep due to the fact that though I maintained medications, exams and home care, when it came to a simple treatment to save his life, it was the payment that was more important to the vets. Essentially, if I did not have the money then they would not deal with him and suggested putting him to sleep. So, make sure you have lots of money available at all times or you will find yourself in the same position with these vets. Better yet, just find another vet who puts compassion and animals first.

This clinic is now a franchise... yes that says it all money is the motivating factor ....surgeries vaccinations and seeing clients pets every 40 minutes.How can you provide proper care or develop proper rapport with the client and their family member. If you do not FIT into their protocol then they do not want you as a client. Preventative care do no harm is really the best of the best way to care for our living family pets. The college of veterinary medicine is just like our human system of health care nothing but a monetary system based on their pharmaceutical treatment and surgeries to make as much money from a chronically reliable client...They disregard natural medicine because they know it works and since the early 21 century the system has bullied and manipulative the pen and paper of true native medicine.

If you’re an animal lover I would keep your pets far away from the “Hospital” they misdiagnosed my cat and she almost died. When asked why this was allowed to happen they ceased communication with me, ignored my calls and email and eventually wrote me letter letting me know they would no longer be able to provide care for my cat...WHY?!?? Cause they made an almost fatal mistake? One another area vet called “incompetent and completely irresponsible” please whatever you do reconsider using this clinic for your beloved pet, if I can stop others from this same experience I’ll feel like I at least did something as I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I didn’t at least try.

Absolutely the worst vets office I’ve been to in my life. Staff is rude and uncaring, the Dr’s are ruff with animals when only other staff is around and it’s common practice to upsell even recommending completely unnecessary dental and medical procedures. They buy fake google reviews to hide all the negative ones from being seen, but if you look they are there. Would not recommend using them in any circumstances I would rather drive out of town then ever use them again

Our pets are lemons, and these guys are great at fixing them up for us. Seriously though, the Veterinarians are as kind and genuine as they are knowledgeable. They're careful to explain any testing required, eager to talk you through their expertise on any diagnosis, and always provide us with an accurate estimate prior to treatment. They're as organized and prepared in an emergency scenario just as they are in a regularly scheduled appointment (we've done both!). Beyond that, they have always been extremely efficient in diagnosing and treating our pets which means that our pets are feeling better sooner. The front desk staff are efficient and kind, and always follow up via phone call to make sure our pets are feeling well after their visits. I wouldn't trust anyone else but them. Thanks Selkirk!

They were very good with my dog who can be difficult when he came in for his neuter. They were even better when we came back a few weeks later for a unexpected emergency surgery and stitches. Got us in right away and taken care of. Very caring and genuine. Dr. Maybank is awesome! Bear is happy to be all healed up and adventuring again.

The veterinarian's and all the staff at Selkirk Vet are amazing. They genuinely care for the health of your pet, unlike any other vet I have been to before. When my 10 week old puppy was not acting well, they got him in the same afternoon to be seen. Not only the staff, but the vet herself both called and emailed me to follow up over the next few weeks to ensure my puppy was feeling better. Even though I came in on an "Emergency Visit" the price was no more than a regular visit, and they are overall very affordable. I highly recommend Selkirk Veterinary clinic for all your pet's healthcare needs!

I've been blessed to have the Doctors, Nurses, and the Support Staff at the Selkirk Veterinary Hospital care for my cat, Morris, for his health and wellness as he ages.
The care included dental cleaning, dental surgery, diet changes, medication for a time, blood work, and more.
All the staff there is compassionate, knowledgable, and professional.
I felt as though all of us were being well looked after.

My cat and dog have been well cared for here. The Drs and support staff are friendly kind and very knowledgeable. Every time we have been in we have been given excellent care including an up front estimate for treatments. After my little dog went in to have his teeth cleaned and a few teeth removed, we received a follow up call the next day to see how my little dog was doing. I really appreciated this call a lot.

Selkirk Veterinary Clinic unfortunately put profit before the well being of our pet, recommending completely unnecessary procedures and even going as far as doing tests and procedures to our pet without gaining our go ahead or permission or even our input despite being readily available putting our beloved pet through unnecessary stress and pain. They then slapped us with an astronomic bill for said procedures. Not only that but the vets at this clinic don't seem to be very knowledgable at all when it came to the disease in our pet and couldn't offer any meaningful advice or info. I would strongly recommend finding a vet elsewhere with a little more common sense, patience and compassion. My rating is zero stars but could only go as low as one.

My partner and I brought our brand new 8 week old puppy into Selkirk Vet. As she is our first puppy ever, we were a little nervous about the whole vet experience. Walking into Selkirk was a breath of fresh air. Everything from Jacey's warm smiling welcome to Rebecca treating Ivy like she would treat her own fur baby. She was so gentle and playful and Ivy loved every minute of it - we had a hard time getting her out of the office! We have also worked quite a lot with Maude, who is just as wonderful. Always so kind, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. All in all, I couldn't have asked for a better veterinary experience. Thank you Selkirk from Kayla, Lee and Ivy!!

We came across this clinic as we were looking for someone to board our puppy for the day while we are camping in the area and were headed to the hot springs. We called to make sure it was possible and they thoroughly questioned us to make sure he would do well, which made us feel that we could trust them. We found out he needed one extra shot and they were able to do it right as they took him. The ladies at the clinic were some of the nicest people I have met and I love it when you can tell that people are passionate about their jobs, and these ladies definitely are. Last week I was in a very Bad way regarding my little red dog Ruby. I was told by my former vet that if I did not get a complete blood work up immediately on Ruby regarding the possibility of her having diabetes and kidney failure that she would probably be dead within a week. I was told that the blood work up was necessary in order to put her on the insulin that she needed for probable diabetes. However my vet I have had for 16 years also told me that if I didn't give her $265 immediately she would not do the test in order to give her the life-saving insulin. I was beside myself since I could not come up with $265 until the following Friday and was forced to seek help from Selkirk veterinary clinic. When I called them crying my eyes out and begging for help I was regarded with much respect and empathy and told to bring my dog in immediately and they would absolutely wait to be paid this one time and trust me and help my dog. Within the last week the test seven done the diagnosis was made and my dog was put on all of the medication that she needed including her incontinence and need of antibiotics. Today I took Ruby in to check her blood glucose levels after four injections of insulin and her test came back normal. Tomorrow I will go to the clinic and pay them as I promised. I can say nothing but wonderful things about Sellkirk veterinary clinic especially doctor Chart and dr. Gagnon. Dr.Gagnon and Dr. chart and the whole clinic has a lifelong client now. The vets in this clinic unfortunately do not stand by the motto of compassion and animal care first. Unfortunately, I had to put my cat to sleep due to the fact that though I maintained medications, exams and home care, when it came to a simple treatment to save his life, it was the payment that was more important to the vets. Essentially, if I did not have the money then they would not deal with him and suggested putting him to sleep. So, make sure you have lots of money available at all times or you will find yourself in the same position with these vets. Better yet, just find another vet who puts compassion and animals first.
