I visited this pet hospital as I found the vet we have been seeing prior has too much of a language barrier, and it was hard to communicate. This pet hospital is also closer to my house which is great as I usually have to travel by walking.I didn't really know what "fear-free" meant, until I was told about the feliway (i know that's what they call the cat version thing, not sure what the dog one is called haha). I was surprised that they were so dedicated to lowering the stress of the patients.My cat Bao Bao is usually very scared at the vet and stays on the table, but he felt comfortable roaming around and smelling the room, with his tail up not down!The veterinarian suggested that we do a blood test as well to check on other things, as they consider Bao Bao a senior cat (he's 8). I think it was a necessary recommendation, so I took the offer. We came in to check on his urinary health as Bao Bao has had a serious urinary obstruction in the past (about 4-5 years ago).They weren't able to get a urine sample in the clinic for a urinalysis, so I was sent home with some special kitty litter and syringe and container for the sample. They also sent us home with a lot of packages on the potential causes of his innapropriate urinating and spraying that had brought us there in the first place as well as some complimentary canned food targeted towards urinary health which is so nice! They really handled Bao Bao with care and they all said he was really sweet! Which he is, he is really easy to handle and isn't aggressive or difficult!!I was also given the results of the blood test through e-mail from the vet herself (ruled out anythand it was such a friendly and informative e-mail.They're very responsive to e-mails so it is very easy to communicate and get answers to any questions I have.I gave them the urine sample yesterday and I am awaiting the results! Fingers crossed for good news!Love this place and you can tell that they really care about their clients!Will be in their care from now on!

I have had nothing but great experiences taking my dog Sophie to this Pet Hospital! I moved just down the road from this vet last year and started by just getting my dog food there, the girls at the front are always friendly and helpful. I was originally going to South Burnaby Vet and felt like I was being overcharged as they had me come in multiple times for the same test all inconclusive and they had me absolutely worried as they said she had Cushings disease but weren't sure so they'd contact about more tests and never did. As a senior dog I noticed there were some things I wanted to checked out, I called South Burnaby for a quote and then called Queens Park as they are 300 meters away from my house. Queens park quoted less (their exam fee is less right off the bat) so I took her in. Dr. Kiehlbauch ran tests, told me my dog does not have Cushings and diagnosed her with something much more simple to treat but also made me aware of things to keep an eye on. Since she has been taking medication, the Dr. has checked in more than once to see how she is doing and my dog has had no issues since! One of the things I really respect on top of them checking in multiple times is the language they use. At one point she said "I would not be concerned about _____ if it were my dog." As a pet mom, those words made me feel so much less worried and stressed out. I highly recommend this Hospital and am thankful for the time they take to ensure my dog is healthy & happy.

Shown no sympathy to my dying dog and refer me to another vet that's REALLY far, knowing that's not possible. While there's another vet right beside them. And the final bill at the next door vet was less than half compared to the price quoted at Queen's Park Pet Hospital. Thanks for nothing. I recommend looking around before sticking with them.

My dog is 11 and has always hated every vet his entirely life. When we started taking our dog and cat to Queens Park Animal Hospital, we noticed a change in my dogs behavior. He went from shaking and afraid at all other vets to tail wagging and excited when he saw all the staff. He and our cat both love Dr Holden. She is absolutely the best with both of them and you can tell she really cares about animals. My dog used to go from running past the vets to now dragging me by on any random day to visit the friendly reception/technician staff. We are loyal to Dr Holden and will never see anyone else. Isn’t it all about how the pets feel when they go tot the vet?

been doing business with this animal hospital for the last 3 1/2 years but after today wont ever recommend them or spend a dime in the clinic . the reason for that today my coworker found an abandon dog and when she brought the dog to this clinic asking for help if they could cheek it for a micro chip or read its ear tattoo so we could located the owner they refused to help .. sorry we weren't paying customers, sorry we troubled you to do something nice for a scared abandon animal. clearly this animal clinic has no compassion and only cares about money.

I was so happy to get Queen's Park recommended to me after moving here 2 years ago. All the staff are super friendly, kind and caring; always asking how all the family members are doing regardless of who is in for their check-up. I've seen a few different doctors here and they have all been excellent. Very thorough during exams. Super surprised at how they calm our semi-feral cats. Great discussions around vaccinations and helping me make the decisions I think are best for our pets. I always leave with the knowledge I need to keep my pets happy and healthy. Zira, Bruce and Shirley are in great hands at Queen's Park Pet Hospital and give an all paws up recommendation!

We dropped in with our cat, who had some minor urinary symptoms. To be fair, it was a Saturday and they were fully booked. After I told them about the symptoms, the assistant talked to the doctor and they offered us an emergency appointment. That would have been 120$ for the emergency fee alone. When I asked for another appointment, the vet assistant told us that the issues my cat was showing could be very dangerous and that he might need to go to an intensive care facility overnight (they were referring to blockage of the urethra, a surgical emergency). She would highly recommend to see the doctor. She said all these things even though no one even so much as looked at my pet. They clearly tried to scare us into paying an unnecessary emergency fee, even after I said that my cat was otherwise fine and showed no signs of pain or retention of urine.
We found another vet and it turned out to be a mild urinary tract infection.
I cannot comment on the clinical care provided here, but I can imagine how a worried pet owner might get scared into paying a lot of money for what could also be unnecessary procedures. I would not recommend this animal hospital for unscheduled visits.

This is THE BEST Vet clinic in New West .All of the Staff are absolutely wonderful. The Vets are the best by far! They do not gouge you for money..they care about you and your pet and will only recommend treatments . You as the pet owner make the final choice on how your pet will be treated. We have had pets for 28 years, and have dealt with a lot of different Vets. We had already met Dr. Arora about 10 years ago, when she was working at a different clinic. So happy she opened her own practice! All of the Vets she has hired meet here her standards,..they really do care!Trust me when I say this is where you want to take your special family member! You are all awesome at Queens Park Pet Hospital!

Dr. Arora, and her team, are phenomenal. We have a wonderful, full of issues, rescue pup, Luna. She has severe anxiety and fear, vet visits have always been a nightmare, until Queen's Park. They prepare the room ahead of time for her, coordinate smooth arrivals and departures, have all the calming things going, lots of delicious treats, and a comfy mat and towel--no treatment tables necessary. When Luna has needed intervention treatments, they are the first to be there for us medically. Giving sound advice, feedback, suggestions and options. She and her team explain everything to us, answer all our questions and take the best care of our furbaby. Even when being put under for medical procedures they are a well oiled, caring machine. Allowing us to be present to ease the anesthesia for Luna, and being there for her when waking, made the whole process seamless. (And MUCH easier for Luna's anxiety!) Dr. Arora and her team spare no effort when it comes to our Luna, and we know they do the same for all animals under their care. Even when we see them out and about they take the time to encourage Luna, interact with her, and help in her fear/anxiety training. It has been a serious blessing to have found them, I trust her and her team completely with our pup, and that is really saying something. HIGHLY recommend them, no hesitation whatsoever. These guys are awesome - they all have a huge passion for animals, and are very knowledgeable about their care. Dr. Holden was consistently amazing with our senior cat Misky, who was pretty high maintenance and required many visits to the vet. She always clearly set out our options, and would contact us to follow-up on how she was doing. The staff, too, are equally amazing. They would go out of their way to try to accommodate us and make our trips to the vet as easy as possible. I would recommend Queen's Park Pet Hospital to anyone looking for a vet in New West.

This is the best veterinary clinic I've ever experienced! Dr. Arora and all of Queen's Park staff provide excellent fear free care for our senior dog "Bailey". Bailey is almost 17 years old and recently got became quite ill - we thought we were going to lose her. We took her to Dr. Arora after she had been sick all night anticipating the worst outcome. Dr. Arora and her team we're able to stabilize Bailey very quickly, helped us get her back to good health, and on a treatment plan that works. Two weeks later Bailey appears to be healthier and more energetic than ever. We are truly grateful to have access to such a knowledgeable, compassionate, and caring team to help us take care of our little dog in her senior years.

I brought my 8+ year old rescue Isabella to this clinic after becoming increasingly concerned about the care she was receiving from the "Association Vet" All the staff and especially Dr. Arora took their time, established trust with Isabella (and Me) and I'm thrilled to say is is 100% on track and getting better everyday! ! I also took her in to have her neglected toes trimmed and they did it calmly, beautifully and without even the slightest worry for my little girl. Totally respect this clinic. I am so fortunate to have Queen's Park Pet Hospital so close - open 7 days a week - and know the history of my dog since she was a puppy! I want the best for my little fur baby! I value the care and knowledge of Dr Arora and Dr Holden - they care for my dog like their own. The technicians along with all staff are all so kind and have such pleasing personalities. My dog used to go into other pet hospitals in the past and would shake and be very nervous. She goes into Queen's Park Pet Hospital with a wagging tail and a dog smile on her face. Everyone there really knows how the fear free atmosphere works. I have and will continue to recommend this very inviting and knowledgable Pet Hospital! HIGH FIVE TO QUEEN'S PARK PET HOSPITAL!

Amazing hospital and amazing people. Manju was amazing the first time and every time i am in the area i walk in with max to say hi. they are always welcoming even if it was just a random hi to get the boy used to the vets.. infact they encourage that. Today Dr. Sarah was brilliant too. lot of patience, she answered all my questions and made the whole visit very informative and fun. and all the attendants in the place are super friendly and loving with the animals too. keep up the great work team.

We have been to many pet hospitals before with our cat. He has always hated the other doctors we went to, but not this one.
They use cat and dog pheromones in the air dispenser to help relax the animal before the doctor comes in to see the pet. It visibly relaxed our little one. The doctors and staff were all extremely nice and were thinking outside the box, allowing them to come up with possible causes and treatments for pets illnesses, better than other pet hospitals.
They deeply cared for our baby and even when he had to be put down, they did it in a fashion that helped both him and comfortable, relaxed and just simply good. They offered us as much time as we needed to say our goodbys and a few days later we even found a card in our mailbox saying how deeply sorry they were for our loss. This clinic is by FAR the best one we have EVER been to and whenever we are ready for another fuzzy family member, they will be our go-to place, no question.

Our previous vet abruptly closed. ( after spending two years getting my nervous dog used to the staff). We we are super lucky to have only had to walked around the corner and found this fabulous group of health care professionals. ( my dog started to loosen up within minutes in their fermone scented lobby). From our first casual drop by, to today's full exam (with shots), I have been beyond impressed. Each staff member brings a caring, calm and educated energy to the experience. I have never felt like I was being given all my options before, and it was encouraging to know that we have this kind of clinic in so close to home. I recommend to anyone with any kind of dog, but especially nervous nellies, to at least check them out. Thanks to my old vet for closing. C

I cannot say enough good things about the team at Queen's Park. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming - they understand dog behaviour and work closely with you to ensure your pet is as comfortable as possible. Dr. Arora is an extremely competent professional but is also someone who truly cares, and that shines through all her interactions with her clients. I have multiple pets and work in an animal related business so I have many interactions with the clinic, and they are always welcoming and patient - even when I'm panicking over a minor injury or asking them about something I read on Dr. Google.Queen's Park also gives back to the community and works with rescues like HugABull Advocacy & Rescue Society, a cause that is close to my heart.

I was so impressed with Dr. Arora's helpfulness on the phone that I decided to bring my maltese in as I hadn't been happy with any of the vets I had previously gone to.Just as she was on the phone, Dr. Arora and the staff were very pleasant, helpful and kind in person. I've been to two other vets and got charged for every little thing. It was a nice change that I wasn't at QP. Dr. Arora gave me her honest recommendations instead of just telling me that she needs this, that and everything else and here's the bill!I would not hesitate to recommend others to QP. You will not be disappointed! As a bonus, I love how they make an effort to be involved in the community (parties, parades, social media).

This is the best Veterinary Clinic I have ever been to. Dr. Aurora is amazing. I took my little Pomeranian there for treatment. Dr. Aurora took the time to make friends with him, took a detailed history and provided exceptional care. For the first time my dog was not scared and stressed out to be at a vet clinic. We went back today for a check up and my dog walked in to the exam room off leash and happy! So glad we found this place!!

I visited this pet hospital as I found the vet we have been seeing prior has too much of a language barrier, and it was hard to communicate. This pet hospital is also closer to my house which is great as I usually have to travel by walking.I didn't really know what "fear-free" meant, until I was told about the feliway (i know that's what they call the cat version thing, not sure what the dog one is called haha). I was surprised that they were so dedicated to lowering the stress of the patients.My cat Bao Bao is usually very scared at the vet and stays on the table, but he felt comfortable roaming around and smelling the room, with his tail up not down!The veterinarian suggested that we do a blood test as well to check on other things, as they consider Bao Bao a senior cat (he's 8). I think it was a necessary recommendation, so I took the offer. We came in to check on his urinary health as Bao Bao has had a serious urinary obstruction in the past (about 4-5 years ago).They weren't able to get a urine sample in the clinic for a urinalysis, so I was sent home with some special kitty litter and syringe and container for the sample. They also sent us home with a lot of packages on the potential causes of his innapropriate urinating and spraying that had brought us there in the first place as well as some complimentary canned food targeted towards urinary health which is so nice! They really handled Bao Bao with care and they all said he was really sweet! Which he is, he is really easy to handle and isn't aggressive or difficult!!I was also given the results of the blood test through e-mail from the vet herself (ruled out anythand it was such a friendly and informative e-mail.They're very responsive to e-mails so it is very easy to communicate and get answers to any questions I have.I gave them the urine sample yesterday and I am awaiting the results! Fingers crossed for good news!Love this place and you can tell that they really care about their clients!Will be in their care from now on!

I have had nothing but great experiences taking my dog Sophie to this Pet Hospital! I moved just down the road from this vet last year and started by just getting my dog food there, the girls at the front are always friendly and helpful. I was originally going to South Burnaby Vet and felt like I was being overcharged as they had me come in multiple times for the same test all inconclusive and they had me absolutely worried as they said she had Cushings disease but weren't sure so they'd contact about more tests and never did. As a senior dog I noticed there were some things I wanted to checked out, I called South Burnaby for a quote and then called Queens Park as they are 300 meters away from my house. Queens park quoted less (their exam fee is less right off the bat) so I took her in. Dr. Kiehlbauch ran tests, told me my dog does not have Cushings and diagnosed her with something much more simple to treat but also made me aware of things to keep an eye on. Since she has been taking medication, the Dr. has checked in more than once to see how she is doing and my dog has had no issues since! One of the things I really respect on top of them checking in multiple times is the language they use. At one point she said "I would not be concerned about _____ if it were my dog." As a pet mom, those words made me feel so much less worried and stressed out. I highly recommend this Hospital and am thankful for the time they take to ensure my dog is healthy & happy.

Shown no sympathy to my dying dog and refer me to another vet that's REALLY far, knowing that's not possible. While there's another vet right beside them. And the final bill at the next door vet was less than half compared to the price quoted at Queen's Park Pet Hospital. Thanks for nothing. I recommend looking around before sticking with them.

My dog is 11 and has always hated every vet his entirely life. When we started taking our dog and cat to Queens Park Animal Hospital, we noticed a change in my dogs behavior. He went from shaking and afraid at all other vets to tail wagging and excited when he saw all the staff. He and our cat both love Dr Holden. She is absolutely the best with both of them and you can tell she really cares about animals. My dog used to go from running past the vets to now dragging me by on any random day to visit the friendly reception/technician staff. We are loyal to Dr Holden and will never see anyone else. Isn’t it all about how the pets feel when they go tot the vet?

I was so happy to get Queen's Park recommended to me after moving here 2 years ago. All the staff are super friendly, kind and caring; always asking how all the family members are doing regardless of who is in for their check-up. I've seen a few different doctors here and they have all been excellent. Very thorough during exams. Super surprised at how they calm our semi-feral cats. Great discussions around vaccinations and helping me make the decisions I think are best for our pets. I always leave with the knowledge I need to keep my pets happy and healthy. Zira, Bruce and Shirley are in great hands at Queen's Park Pet Hospital and give an all paws up recommendation!

We dropped in with our cat, who had some minor urinary symptoms. To be fair, it was a Saturday and they were fully booked. After I told them about the symptoms, the assistant talked to the doctor and they offered us an emergency appointment. That would have been 120$ for the emergency fee alone. When I asked for another appointment, the vet assistant told us that the issues my cat was showing could be very dangerous and that he might need to go to an intensive care facility overnight (they were referring to blockage of the urethra, a surgical emergency). She would highly recommend to see the doctor. She said all these things even though no one even so much as looked at my pet. They clearly tried to scare us into paying an unnecessary emergency fee, even after I said that my cat was otherwise fine and showed no signs of pain or retention of urine.
We found another vet and it turned out to be a mild urinary tract infection.
I cannot comment on the clinical care provided here, but I can imagine how a worried pet owner might get scared into paying a lot of money for what could also be unnecessary procedures. I would not recommend this animal hospital for unscheduled visits.

They do not gouge you for money..they care about you and your pet and will only recommend treatments . You as the pet owner make the final choice on how your pet will be treated. We have had pets for 28 years, and have dealt with a lot of different Vets. We had already met Dr. Arora about 10 years ago, when she was working at a different clinic. So happy she opened her own practice! All of the Vets she has hired meet here her standards,..they really do care!Trust me when I say this is where you want to take your special family member! You are all awesome at Queens Park Pet Hospital!

Dr. Arora, and her team, are phenomenal. We have a wonderful, full of issues, rescue pup, Luna. She has severe anxiety and fear, vet visits have always been a nightmare, until Queen's Park. They prepare the room ahead of time for her, coordinate smooth arrivals and departures, have all the calming things going, lots of delicious treats, and a comfy mat and towel--no treatment tables necessary. When Luna has needed intervention treatments, they are the first to be there for us medically. Giving sound advice, feedback, suggestions and options. She and her team explain everything to us, answer all our questions and take the best care of our furbaby. Even when being put under for medical procedures they are a well oiled, caring machine. Allowing us to be present to ease the anesthesia for Luna, and being there for her when waking, made the whole process seamless. (And MUCH easier for Luna's anxiety!) Dr. Arora and her team spare no effort when it comes to our Luna, and we know they do the same for all animals under their care. Even when we see them out and about they take the time to encourage Luna, interact with her, and help in her fear/anxiety training. It has been a serious blessing to have found them, I trust her and her team completely with our pup, and that is really saying something. HIGHLY recommend them, no hesitation whatsoever. These guys are awesome - they all have a huge passion for animals, and are very knowledgeable about their care. Dr. Holden was consistently amazing with our senior cat Misky, who was pretty high maintenance and required many visits to the vet. She always clearly set out our options, and would contact us to follow-up on how she was doing. The staff, too, are equally amazing. They would go out of their way to try to accommodate us and make our trips to the vet as easy as possible. I would recommend Queen's Park Pet Hospital to anyone looking for a vet in New West.

This is the best veterinary clinic I've ever experienced! Dr. Arora and all of Queen's Park staff provide excellent fear free care for our senior dog "Bailey". Bailey is almost 17 years old and recently got became quite ill - we thought we were going to lose her. We took her to Dr. Arora after she had been sick all night anticipating the worst outcome. Dr. Arora and her team we're able to stabilize Bailey very quickly, helped us get her back to good health, and on a treatment plan that works. Two weeks later Bailey appears to be healthier and more energetic than ever. We are truly grateful to have access to such a knowledgeable, compassionate, and caring team to help us take care of our little dog in her senior years.

I brought my 8+ year old rescue Isabella to this clinic after becoming increasingly concerned about the care she was receiving from the "Association Vet" All the staff and especially Dr. Arora took their time, established trust with Isabella (and Me) and I'm thrilled to say is is 100% on track and getting better everyday! ! I am so fortunate to have Queen's Park Pet Hospital so close - open 7 days a week - and know the history of my dog since she was a puppy! I want the best for my little fur baby! I value the care and knowledge of Dr Arora and Dr Holden - they care for my dog like their own. The technicians along with all staff are all so kind and have such pleasing personalities. My dog used to go into other pet hospitals in the past and would shake and be very nervous. She goes into Queen's Park Pet Hospital with a wagging tail and a dog smile on her face. Manju was amazing the first time and every time i am in the area i walk in with max to say hi. they are always welcoming even if it was just a random hi to get the boy used to the vets.. infact they encourage that. We have been to many pet hospitals before with our cat. He has always hated the other doctors we went to, but not this one.
They use cat and dog pheromones in the air dispenser to help relax the animal before the doctor comes in to see the pet. It visibly relaxed our little one. The doctors and staff were all extremely nice and were thinking outside the box, allowing them to come up with possible causes and treatments for pets illnesses, better than other pet hospitals.
They deeply cared for our baby and even when he had to be put down, they did it in a fashion that helped both him and comfortable, relaxed and just simply good. They offered us as much time as we needed to say our goodbys and a few days later we even found a card in our mailbox saying how deeply sorry they were for our loss. This clinic is by FAR the best one we have EVER been to and whenever we are ready for another fuzzy family member, they will be our go-to place, no question.

Our previous vet abruptly closed. ( after spending two years getting my nervous dog used to the staff). We we are super lucky to have only had to walked around the corner and found this fabulous group of health care professionals. ( my dog started to loosen up within minutes in their fermone scented lobby). From our first casual drop by, to today's full exam (with shots), I have been beyond impressed. Each staff member brings a caring, calm and educated energy to the experience. I have never felt like I was being given all my options before, and it was encouraging to know that we have this kind of clinic in so close to home. I recommend to anyone with any kind of dog, but especially nervous nellies, to at least check them out. Thanks to my old vet for closing. C

I cannot say enough good things about the team at Queen's Park. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming - they understand dog behaviour and work closely with you to ensure your pet is as comfortable as possible. Dr. Arora is an extremely competent professional but is also someone who truly cares, and that shines through all her interactions with her clients. I have multiple pets and work in an animal related business so I have many interactions with the clinic, and they are always welcoming and patient - even when I'm panicking over a minor injury or asking them about something I read on Dr. Google.Queen's Park also gives back to the community and works with rescues like HugABull Advocacy & Rescue Society, a cause that is close to my heart.

I was actually doing a work assignment when I learned of Queen's Park Pet Hospital. I was so impressed with Dr. Arora's helpfulness on the phone that I decided to bring my maltese in as I hadn't been happy with any of the vets I had previously gone to.Just as she was on the phone, Dr. Arora and the staff were very pleasant, helpful and kind in person. I've been to two other vets and got charged for every little thing. It was a nice change that I wasn't at QP. Dr. Arora gave me her honest recommendations instead of just telling me that she needs this, that and everything else and here's the bill!I would not hesitate to recommend others to QP. I was actually doing a work assignment when I learned of Queen's Park Pet Hospital. I was so impressed with Dr. Arora's helpfulness on the phone that I decided to bring my maltese in as I hadn't been happy with any of the vets I had previously gone to.Just as she was on the phone, Dr. Arora and the staff were very pleasant, helpful and kind in person. I've been to two other vets and got charged for every little thing. It was a nice change that I wasn't at QP. Dr. Arora gave me her honest recommendations instead of just telling me that she needs this, that and everything else and here's the bill!I would not hesitate to recommend others to QP. You will not be disappointed! As a bonus, I love how they make an effort to be involved in the community (parties, parades, social media).

She really cares about my boys, and we are so pleased. We now drive from Vancouver to come in for check ups, and do it gladly.

This clinic is phenomenal !!! Caring for pets and their health is definitely Dr. Arora's passion in life. I also love Alice, who has such a happy disposition. Recently, my cat, Teddy had some issues with crystals in his urine. Dr Arora was so knowledgeable about this issue, and this helped me make the best decision for his care. She has gone above and beyond the call of duty, to help me and my animals. I am very grateful to have such a wonderful, caring, and knowledgeable Veterinarian.

This is the best Veterinary Clinic I have ever been to. Dr. Aurora is amazing. I took my little Pomeranian there for treatment. Dr. Aurora took the time to make friends with him, took a detailed history and provided exceptional care. For the first time my dog was not scared and stressed out to be at a vet clinic. We went back today for a check up and my dog walked in to the exam room off leash and happy! So glad we found this place!!
