Unfortunately, as far as I know this clinic is the only animal eye clinic in Lower Mainland. Currently there are 4 eye specialists working at this clinic and two of them are the owners.Vets, nurses, administrative and front desk personnel are super arrogant and rude. I'm a physician and healthcare executive myself holding sub-specialty, so I kind of know how a medical clinic should be run and managed and how its staff should interact with clients and patients, particularly in a fee-for-service and private business model, where all the expenses are out of the pocket costs. Recently and regrettably, I took my dog there for an examiniation. After a very cold and uncaring reception and going through a very unorganized and time-waisting registration process we were directed to one of the exam rooms, where my dog was examed by one of their young and new eye specialist. The prognosis process was fine and she was friendly and responsive. But, she rushed the diagnosis process, which is the most important part, and was not able to rule out other probable causes and perfom a complete differential diagnosis. As a physician and a responsible dog owner I tried my best to ask as many rational questions as possible and even a blood exam that she was reluctant and neglective to order, to get an accurate and timely diagnosis. After the exam I asked their very ignorant and arrogant administrative staff to submit my insurance form, and they responded that I should do it myself, which was contradictory to all of my previous experiences. No call for follow ups or hearing my dog's blood test result from their office, even after a week!! Called them myself, and after a couple of calls I finally was able to speak to the specialist, who this time was aggressive. She mentioned that I should continue the medication and she will be seeing my dog in 4 weeks; no, apology for not following up on the test result from herself or their office staff. Their visit fee is 30% more than their colleague's in the U.S. $165. Don't know why? A week after that phone conversation my dog's problem exacerbated and I called their office asking for an emergency appointment. After talking to me very offensively for 5 min the secretary reclluctanty told me that I could take my dog there a day after about 3 pm and wait or a non-appointment visit. Arrived there 40 min late because of the accident that I had in the highway No. 1, and telling them about it, I have been told that all the vets had left and that I should come back another time. While I was being told this untrue story, ironically one of the eye specialists who is also one of the co-owners came out from the room not knowing that her front desk staff is lying to a client who drove all the way from Vancouver to New Westminster, having an accident in the highway and bringing a dog who is having a very sever eye problem and have been recently visited by her collleague at her clinic. She did not even acknowledged our presence nor cared about our anxiety.I devastatedly asked her that can she or someone else check my dog. She went back to the back room with the vet, returned after 5 min and said that everyone has left already and that I can come back another time!!! Really, that's how your system works!!!! Do you guys even know what is healthcare and emergency issues? How come a vet and a even worse a business owner see a patient who desperatly needs her help and deny visiting him? Can anyone justify this from either healthcare or business perspective? Don't think so....So sorry for them and their poor non-talking, desperate and needy patients. I wish I was a dog myself and I could bite this people badly. Read Less
