I can't say enough about the Care, Incredible Knowledge, Compassion, Kindness & Decency ~ Dr. Nigel & Jenny Bass,their 3 daughters, along with their Incredible Staff, in the front end desk & the techs in the back,that they have "All" given to our Dogs, Cats, puppies, kittens & all of us.~ I have never been disappointed. I'm new to the island and a few friends recommended the Sidney Animal Hospital to me. Am I ever glad they did!! My senior dog, Max, has been struggling with "tummy troubles" for almost a year now, and they seem to be getting worse and worse. When we first came to see Dr. Stancill a couple months ago, she immediately took wonderful care of Max (and me!). She has been continuing to try different approaches to help Max (as his illness seems to be a mystery). She is extremely responsive and supportive, and I really appreciate all of our conversations. She really listens to me and my priorities, and never pushes any unnecessary tests or treatment on us. She calls me to check in and discuss "what can we try next" to help Max - she always makes time for us! While we are still working to figure out what is going on with Max, I know he is being very well cared for. I'm so glad I have found Sidney Animal Hospital!!Read Less

We got a 12 week old puppy 5 days ago on Sunday and he was being your usual puppy until Tuesday night. He slept a lot and did want to go outside and when he did he walked like he was a new born deer, very odd. Got an appointment for Thursday morning and after 3 vets, 2 hours, medical books and an xray they concluded that he had a rare bone disease. They only did the bare minimum to diagnosis him and did do any extra costly things. He's feeling better already and the vet called me first thing this morning to check in on how he was doing. I am really impressed. And with the blood work, xray, medication, regular consultation fee and a few cans of wet food the bill was only $410.00. I highly recommend this group of professionals. This is long past due, I have been meaning to bring in a thank you card and a box of chocolate to thank all the lovely staff at the Sidney Animal Hospital but it's been hard to go back since my dog passed. A special thank you to the receptionists/vet techs who made me feel comfortable in calling (constantly!) to ask questions and book tests for my dog, Piper, for her end of life care. It's not an easy thing to watch your pet die of a disease so suddenly but having support is an amazing step toward making it easier, and you all helped me so much. A huge thank you to Dr. Stancill (hopefully I'm spelling that right,) you were so supportive through every step; every long phone call, every test I pushed for although we knew my dog's passing was inevitable and unavoidable. Even the way you sat with my family and I as we discussed our dog's life before we had to put her down was amazing, especially on the day before Christmas Eve.
