I finally read through the 1 star reviews after posting my first on Google, and it's fairly consistent. Staff are rude and unprofessional and there has been a slow and steady decline of care to this establishment. They've almost killed 1 of my dogs, and almost permanently damaged another. Not all staff of course, but a fair amount to run this clinic to the ground. Below is my google review that highlights the reasons why I am livid with this clinic and to hopefully help other dog families looking for a new vet that won't drain their pockets, and leave them with more issues than they had coming in. Overbilling seems to be their motto. I have been their client for over 5 years and had multiple issues. My family and friends told me for years that they cannot be trusted and I should find a better vet clinic, but due to Dr Maja’s knowledge of frenchies, I stuck around. I got shafted continuously, and I think this time they crossed the line. I hope this review helps others to avoid such establishments and calls them out for what they are, a clinic that is funded by greed and unprofessionalism. Below are a few of the most recent (but not limited to) problems I’ve had with them in the past: 1. They put my frenchie under without my or my mothers consent in a non-emergency state. He came out with major back issues. My guess is that they had handled him incorrectly during the X-ray while he was under anesthetic. Their response was completely deflecting, that frenchies are prone to back issues and I should take him to Canada west. He went in fully mobile, and having a minor issue with his back left paw, and came out an hour later unable to walk! After Canada wests testing of $7k that isn’t covered by insurance, we found out that it was a tweak and he isn’t a candidate for a surgery. Somehow I forgave them. Louis was back and walking normally within 1 month w/ home PT. 2. They had given me pills for my Boston’s kidney issues. Every since starting to take the pills, my Boston became gravely ill. He wouldn’t eat, and wouldn’t really move. It was the right thing to do to subscribe that medication since it was meant to help with kidney problems. I called and advised them 4 days later that it’s probably the pills that were making him ill and asked whether I should stop administering them. They said whatever you do, don’t stop providing him the pills. I continued giving the pills 2 more days and called again as it persisted. The answer was the same, and urged me to go to Canada west to have them look at him. Canada West were very professional and told me they would’ve kept him for 3 days on IV to find out he has kidney issues and there is nothing we do short of dialysis. Since I do not have $25k for the IV and dialysis, I decided against dr Majas strong recommendation and kept him home with me without giving him another pill. In one day he started recovering. By day 3 he was back to normal and lived another year and a bit! Had I continued giving him the pills, he would’ve definitely been in the ground in several days. Shame on you! 3. Due to these severe allergies my frenchie was born with, he is prone to ear infections. He recently had an ear infection which they tested and gave me solution for. They called me for a follow up a week later, and mentioned it was just to see how he is doing and that it’ll be 5 minutes and I won’t be charged. I get there late, but end up staying 45 minutes, with no result and a bill. I tell the receptionist I have to go to an important dinner and I wasn’t supposed to be charged but to send me the bill. The receptionist was obnoxious, and unprofessional throughout. Today (after paying the bill) I was told to go to another vet as I am causing problems by asking why they are charging me. Surely you could take into account that my dog has 90% insurance coverage and that this isn’t an expense to me, but you guys are perhaps scamming the insurer? Also taking into account I’ve probably spent over $10k (ran rough numbers from my credit cards) over the duration of 5 years and that a $100 isn’t an issue…it is your clinic entirely over and over again. Good riddance my dogs and I are safe and we are happy to never return Read Less

Dr Maja cared for our pets for over 20 years and was amazing, as was her staff. Our dogs loved going to Healing Paws. Over the past few years it has become more difficult to get an appointment with Dr Maja so we would have to take whomever was available. The staff is all different now and our last experience here will sadly be our last. I took our female dog in to get a check up as we were concerned she had gotten pregnant and wanted that confirmed and some advice on what we needed to do as first time dealing with puppies. Of course I couldn't attend with my dog with restrictions in place and had to sit in the parking lot and talk with the vet over the phone. He advised me she was pregnant and when I asked for some advice on what we needed to do, he suggested he could spay her and get rid of the pups. I was stunned. I paid the bill and immediately left with my dog. We went home, purchased items we needed for a whelping box etc and waited for the day to arrive. One week after her due date I took her to another vet to get checked over & was informed that she was not pregnant. ????? I called back to Healing Paws to find out what exactly the vet did to determine she was pregnant but there was nothing in the file to say what he did. I was informed that the manager would call me the next day to talk to me. No phone call. I called back to speak to the manager the following day and was informed that she was too busy and couldn't promise that she would get back to me in the next week but would call at some point of time. Dr. Maja - you need to be aware of the impact your staffs work ethics are having on your clients and the damage it will cause your reputation if the status quo continues. I sadly cannot recommend your office any more. Evidently I was dealing with a 'part time' vet?? What does that mean? Read Less

The receptionists and vet assistants are unhelpful and unfortunately come across as if they have a disregard towards you and your pet. The quality of service is very poor these days, unfortunately. Dr. Maja used to be a good vet and caring, but seems to be more business oriented now and doesn’t give the adequate attention to your pet and doesn’t spend time explaining your dog’s condition to you. They charge you a lot for visits and exams but don’t spend time explaining what you should do next. I’m not impressed. I used to take my dog there since he was a puppy, and after 6 years of going to this place I can tell you that the quality is definitely not the same anymore, and I will start taking him elsewhere Read Less

I spent a very long time searching for a veterinarian who endorses an integrative health approach (both traditional and alternative medicine) and couldn't be happier to have found Dr. Maja and her team in Port Moody.  Dr. Maja really takes the time to do a thorough exam in all aspects of my pet's care and she really does put your pet's needs first!  In particular, I'm so grateful to her and her team for recently helping my little corgi Abby through a scary bout of pancreatitis.  Throughout the entire ordeal, I felt I had the proper support and knowledge to monitor my little one at home.  I received phone calls to check in on her and had regular re-checks to get my pup back on her feet.  Dr. Maja is transparent, invested in her patients, so knowledgable and has a calming nature that puts both her clients and her patients at ease.Thank you so much Dr. Maja and all the staff at Healing Paws for the wonderful care you've given to our little girl over the past several weeks. STAY AWAY FROM THIS OFFICE. Absolutely disgusted with how doctor Maja runs this office. My dog was admitted for a neuter at 8:50am where they told me to sign a paper and then took my dog saying they'd call when it's over. I receive a call at 11:40 saying my dog is just waking up from being sedated and having x-rays taken, as well as about to be induced with vomiting. This was all due to him ripping up the blanket , bedding, and somehow destroying his harness and ingesting it. Feeing upset with being called AFTER the fact of all this happening to my puppy, I just say okay to do whatever they can to help him. I get another call saying now they refuse to do his neuter because they induced vomiting which he never even vomited anything back up.   I go to pick him up and he is completely out of it. Soaked from drooling everywhere and crying at even having to walk back into one of their waiting rooms. The fact I couldn't put down my 40lb 1.5 year old Aussie pup because he would just fall straight to the ground and cry. I had to sit and listen from a practicum student what happened because no actual doctor would talk to us as they're "too busy". They asked me to pay for everything that happened. Obviously not paying, we went home as we just wanted our dog to relax. I received a call the next day from dr. Maja saying it wasn't their fault that he ate his harness which he passed through the next day, and that she would not refund us for his 80$ harness. She told me that he managed to some how grab his harness (which she told me multiple times his harness was not in his reach YET somehow my dog reached it) through the kennel (they locked him in for 2 hours after being fasted for 8 hours ) destroy that and everything in the kennel in a whopping 5 minutes or less, which I find hard to believe as my dog is not that impressive. He wasn't watched properly and her excuse was they are a hospital not a daycare and that she wishes we told her our dog acted like that prior to his neuter as if we were supposed to know how our dog would act after fasting and being locked in a kennel when we do not believe in locking our dog up. If they would have read my dogs temperament right and not decided he's fine to wait to be done 3rd that day, or god forbid ACTUALLY checked on him properly, none of this would have happened   DO NOT bring your dog or any animal here if you actually care about their wellbeing as this place only looks at you as a transaction deal. They could care less about your animals feelings or safety. If they make a mistake or mistreat your animal they'll tell you your animal is abnormal with their behaviour. Deactivated my account here and will advise everyone to find a different office !!! This is the same vet that talked me into giving my indoor cat a rabies shot incase bats fly in my house and bite him. I can not believe this place is allowed to run this way. Read Less

Fantastic holistic veterinarian clinic with superb doctors! Dr. Maja and Dr. Alex are fantastic veterinarians, both extremely friendly and honest - and always provide alternative solutions (the least invasive procedures) that we have yet to find anywhere else. We have always had pets although we have never seen our dogs so calm and happy to visit the vet!We love their whole body approach and treatment of the root of the problem and BIG fans of the acupuncture for animals. We heard Dr. Maja has been internationally published in a magazine and will be learning about Visceral Myofascial Manipulation & Release (a safe and effective form of manual therapy which locates and releases lines of strain and adhesions in the connective tissues surrounding the internal organs) in January 2019 and thermography in the near future! They also treat pets with CBD oil (medicinal marijuana) and have a nice private, emergency side entrance for non-social animals. The doctors dedicate much of their time (sometimes into their lunch hour and probably after hours) to help and understand their client's overall needs and advancing and sharing their knowledge with the latest research - and continually upgrading their knowledge to be the best in their field! Also, I believe the clinic is hardwired for those who are concerned about wireless frequencies or may be electrohypersensitive (EHS). We highly recommend their team to everyone and can't rave enough how much they've helped our pets. If your pet is due for their annual and/or you're concerned about their wellbeing, book a consultation just to see how remarkable this clinic works, I wouldn't recommend anyone else! Read Less

Last Saturday Dr. Maya gave our dog a clean bill of health. By Wednesday we had him in the emergency vet hospital, (after Dr Alex couldn't be bothered to return our calls) because he was on the verge of a diabetic coma and everyone was shocked that he could still walk. After 3 years of being told (by both vets) to put our fat dog on a diet and refusing to believe our assertions that the fat dog generally ate less than the thinner dog... it turned out that he is not only a diabetic, but very likely has Cushings disease. For the last three years he had been exhibiting symptoms of Cushings and symptoms of diabetes for the last 6 months. It also turns out that the "blood testing" we'd been dutifully paying extra for (which would have caught this early), was simply a much higher priced titres test with no actual blood work being done at all. In other words our 5 year old dog has not had any meaningful medical care in his entire life. He has also had visible symptoms of Cushings for the last 3 years - starting with the weight gain that settled into a noticeable pot belly (a classic Cushings symptom) and finally ending in clear indications of severe diabetes (blood glucose of 30+). His most recent check up consisted or Dr Maya's joy that Bruno had finally lost weight - apparently losing 30% of his body weight in less than 6 months was not cause for concern. "You've added 5 years to his life" was the "diagnosis". The excessive thirst was also apparently not concerning enough to raise alarm bells. When you are led to believe that regular blood testing is already being done there is no sense of urgency - we had always believed that regular blood panels were part of his yearly check-ups - they never were. We only tested his glucose on a fluke because we have a glucose meter at home already for my diabetes. Our trust and loyalty to Healing Paws basically almost killed our dog. Aside from taking a great deal of our money, they have essentially done nothing medically meaningful for either of our dogs and have very likely shortened the lifespan of one. Read Less

My family and I came across Healing Paws by looking at various review sites for vets.  They were rated very high in ratings and upon checking out their website, booked our first appointment when our dog needed help with a health issue.I don't know how we got so lucky in finding a doctor of our dreams but we certainly did with Dr Maja.  She's thorough, and very knowledgeable about integrative medicine for animals.  She's down to earth, knows how to interpret difficult technical terms in easy to understand terms.Prices are very reasonable compared to other vet clinics, and I love the fact that they carry holistic brands for treatment that are trust worthy.  I noticed how someone has written that prices are too high at this clinic.  But upon reading this person's review carefully, I noticed few things.  First, it turns out in Canada there is no standard vet fees.  This was so noted in a news article that came out this year from Global or CTV news (sorry I can't remember which news site) where they did a price comparison for vets around Toronto area.  The article said that the reasons for the price variance is due to a number of factors, including, the vet's location which significantly affects the amount of rent that each vet clinics have to pay, thus the charge out rate difference from clinic to clinic.  Other price difference is due to the number of staff and of course their pay.  Overhead running costs vary from clinic to clinic as well.  So it makes sense that when seeking a rush delivery service, clinics may choose to "top up" with extra dollars as a way to absorb any extra or sudden costs incurred while running the business.  That way, they can keep offering "usual" services at low cost to all patients that's in keeping with prices offered at other nearby clinics.  Otherwise how else can clinics keep afloat and run their business without going bankrupt?  An alternative would be to raise prices across the board, but doing that may be suicidal for a business as people find out that their services are just too expensive all around and may choose to go elsewhere that's cheaper.Second thing I noticed about this other individual's review is that there is no mention about the fact that this individual "agreed" to go ahead with the rush service which cost a lot of money.  No business will go ahead and enter services with a customer without customer consent.  If the costs were too high, then the option would have been to shop elsewhere to get the services needed.  In the end, it's up to each individual to decide what is right and not right for them and their pets.  I for one, am truly grateful for Dr Maja's dedication in her craft.  I honestly thought I'd never find someone with her caliber and experience here in the Lower Mainland.  As far as I know, there is only one other doctor who is as dedicated as Dr Maja.  But this other doctor is in Chicago.  It would be great if both lived near my house so if one was not available during days off, I could call upon another.  I sincerely hope Dr Maja never retires... well, at least not while my pooch is alive and well.  I know that sounds selfish of me but Dr Maja is irreplaceable.  I'm just glad I found her. I was pleasantly surprised when I brought up obtaining CBD for our dog (arthritis) and they were able to write the doctor's note ... As an aside, I HIGHLY recommend trying CBD (Cannabidiol) for your pet's pain as it works amazingly well. Made our old girl get out of bed and play like a puppy again. Read Less

I have been an advocating customer for our two dogs ever since we adopted them in 2015 and 2016 respectively. We have trusted their "holistic way of approaching" marketing until March 2018. We requested a quote for Rabies Antibody Titer testings for taking our two dogs with us to oversea. They quote us a regular service (4 to 6 wk turnaround result) they quote was about $400 each per dog and the express service (2-3 wk turn around result) at $900 per dog although the price increase on the expedited lab test service is only USD $60. I inquired several times why the expedited service doubles the regular service although I see only USD 60 up charge from the actual testing facility Healing paws sent the blood sample away. They said that is how they structured the pricing and they won't change the pricing for us although we have been a loyal customer to them. I felt very much disappointed by their demeanor and their rationale for the pricing structure. I ended up getting two quotes from one animal hospital from Burquitlam area and one from Burnaby. They quote us $450 for the express service! I could not believe how ethically other vets structured their service pricing. I felt that Healing Paws was trying to take advantage of us when we needed them most. The marketing words "holistic" or "ethical" does not suit their actual business practice at all. We are currently waiting the test result from one vet from Burnaby and we will not ever go back to Healing Paws nor advocate/recommend them to our friends or families any more. Read Less

I have been using this vet for a number of years for my 3 dogs. Normally I would have given them a 5 star review however after a recent set of incidents with the declining health of my dog I am forced to give them a 2 star review. My dog was suddenly very ill, what initially seemed to be a simple digestive issue or virus, turned downhill very quickly. The vet on staff suggested an ultrasound or Xray and told us they would send us a quote for both options the same day. When we didnt receive that quote by the afternoon, we called in the early evening to check on the progress of the quote. We were told we would get it tommorrow because they were too busy. When I realized my dogs health declining even more rapidly I asked them to please get back to me asap. I had to call 3 times (Including leaving messages asking for the vet himself to call me, which never happened) and talk to 2 different receptionists in order to get the quote (Thank you Zoey for understanding the urgency of our situation!). Once they did finally submit that information to us, we were on our way to another vet to see if they could fit us in for an ultrasound that day since Healing Paws was not moving fast enough and were told they only had an opening Friday despite everything. Once at the other vet, they determined she was not fit to return home and needed to be hospitalized that morning. Both the new vet and myself called Healing Paws around 11am to have her previous bloodwork and medical documents emailed from to the new vet so they could make a better assesment of the situation. By 2pm no information was sent yet, and my dog is sitting with an intravenous and faint pulse. I am incredibly disappointed in the way things were handled and the lack of care put into our emergency situation that was declining rapidly. At no point did anyone, other than Zoey give us a sense that they were doing anything to put us ahead of the cue, considering our situation was declining rapidly and they knew it because I told them. The excuse was that they had a high volume of patients in the clinic, which is understandable, however I would have imagined priority is put on more urgent cases, and it only takes a minute to make a phone call and send a couple of documents via email. They could have even suggested that they were too busy for us and sent us to another vet, but that was not done either. I am glad I had the forsight to take matters into my own hands and do what needed to be done, when they couldn't. Please review your protocols and get more staff if needed!! Read Less

Absolutely the most outstanding care by Dr. Maja and staff everytime I bring my pets. Dr.Maja has dealt with all of my pets health concerns from ear infections ,life or death emergency pyrometra surgery, neurological issues , and heart disease/ failure. Every issue I have brought to this clinic Dr. Maja has been nothing short of outstanding. I never feel rushed , and I am always kept in the loop of what's going on and told exactly what the doctors concerns are. When my dogs present illnesses that are completely out of the norm Dr Maja doesn't hesitate to refer me to a specialist for a second opionion. I was told by 3 different vets to euthanize my 3 year old golden because she has megaesophogus . Dr Maja worked closely with my dog and myself and next month my dog will be 14 years old and going strong. I drive over an hour to come to this clinic because I find everywhere else my pets are given less then 5 min with the vet and my concerns are not heard. Every visit my dogs get a head to tail exam and the vets at this clinic really listen to what I'm explaining when my pets behaviour is off. Dr Ina is also extremely knowledgeable, kind and fantastic at her job. All the staff here genuinely seem to love what they do.Great job healing paws!Read Less

I would say some of the staffs are very friendly, but be prepared for the long wait for every visit (approximately 30 mins). My dog has passed away already. I would like to thank some nurses and Dr. Maja for the care given. The reason that I gave one star though is because they charge unreasonably higher than some other reputable clinics I found in the Vancouver area. I moved to another vet earlier this year because I had to move my home from Port Moody to Downdown. I found out that Healing Paws has charged me so much more for the same service provided by the one in Downtown when comparing the breakdown in their invoices. They charge double for the laser (same type of machine and system that I have verified) - It is not the biggest deal. The main problem is that I have bought a laser therapy package from them after they have promised me that in case my very old dog has passed away, i will get the money back for the unused service. But at the end they refused refunding money to me and offered to give "credit" to me for my next visit with my new dog, which is useless. This clinic is highly unethical. Breaking promises. I will avoid it all time unless u have too much money to waste. P.S. there are times that I order some canned food , went to pick them up and they ended up telling me that they didn't place the order. Also they don't have some medicine available in the clinic and they never suggest that there is a compounding pharmacy that can help. I have to call (while my dog is so sick and we couldn't sleep all night long for 3 nights consecutively) other clinics to check and finally i m lucky enough to reach a nurse who works in another clinic that told me that i can get the medicine from a compounded pharmacist. A few months ago I had an appointment to have a cyst looked at. Somehow I got talked into a wellness exam which was 2 min($75). He is an older dog and I expected that fit this they would actually exam him, like listen to his heart or look at his eyes, but none of this happened. I was told I needed this exam to get flee medication. So they didn't check his health but sold me the flee medication and charged me for both, plus $200 for medication for the cyst that did nothing. Went back today to try and buy more flee medication but would not sell it to me without a wellness exam. I explained I was not going to book another wellness exam as last time they examined nothing. His cyst has also burst, I was trying to book an appointment to have it looked but they did not have any appointments today or next week that worked. I have to take him to another vet and I'm not paying for 2 exams. Poor service. I do love Jessy though I wish she was at the front desk Read Less

I will never bring any of my 3 chihuahuas here ever again, but will make sure to let everyone know about this absurd service we had received not to mention being ripped off! If they told us they would charge us more than a $10 a dog I wouldn't even consider it. I should charge them for wasting our time dragging us there after I specifically talked to Kerri on the phone asking if she was too young to get those shots in the first place! What a joke! Amazing vet. Great Staff. Clean and calm environment. I actually had to re-read the review below me a few times to understand what exactly Healing Paws did to deserve 1 star. Are you seriously telling me that you gave them a bad rating because they wouldn't kill your otherwise healthy cat because it purs too loud in your bedroom? I have two dogs that snore ALL night, I would NEVER euthanize them. Have you ever heard of an animal rescue? I am actually stunned that you are a pet owner... I applaud Healing Paws for refusing to kill your cat (you say euthanized, I'm sorry in this situation you kill the cat for your own convenience so that word is not applicable to this). I wish you posted the name of the vet that agreed to kill your cat so that the rest of us can avoid ever going there. They took your money, they clearly didn't care about the life of your cat. I believe the vets at this clinic truly love animals, however I believe they are not experienced at treating all types of breeds and in my opinion they dropped the ball with my baby which ultimately led to an early death. If you have a complicated breed like the English Bulldog and it requires in depth exams like an endoscopy with biopsy I recommend you go elsewhere. After receiving this treatment to determine the findings of a mass my dog came down with aspiration pneumonia, however after countless appointments and different medicines to control it until they had the results of the biopsy (which was supposed to take 2 days took over 7 days), my dog suffered and we ultimately had to put him down at an emergency clinic because his lungs filled with so much fluid he couldn't breathe. I wish they had referred us to a specialist that could have done the biopsy with more accuracy and care and been able to monitor him night and day. I put my trust in this clinic and I believe they failed him and our family. Choose a vet that has ability to care for your pet through the night .  I truly wished we had been more choosy and taken him to the experts like Canwest. Read Less

We took our dog and cat to Healing Paws since 2010 when we moved into the neighbourhood. The vets there always seemed kind and knowledgeable and put our pets at ease, so despite the high prices, snarky front staff and wait times we continued on with them. First red light was when 2 other friends switched to another clinic for their dogs as Healing Paws seemed to be constantly unable to diagnose and treat skin conditions and the appointment costs were getting out of control. Second was when they insisted that my (always very healthy cat) needed her teeth pulled as they were rotten, and handed me a quote of over $1000 - at which stage I had pushed back and requested a simple cleaning instead and they admitted that her teeth were actually perfectly healthy, and just needed to be cleaned.  Third and final red light was when my dog was admitted twice in 3 months due to extreme back pain. $650 later (would have been over $1000 had I not pushed back on certain items) and they were not only unable to accurately identify the issue (strained ligaments), they informed us that he would require surgery from which he may never fully recover due to bone growth on his vertebrae.  Had we not gone elsewhere for a second opinion and continued on with Healing Paws it's possible that we could have put our poor dog down over nothing! The other vet confirmed no evidence of bone growth after following up with Healing Paws FOUR times to send the xray over to them.  After the dust settled they finally agreed to a partial refund ($130 out of $650) as they admitted they overcharged some items. Obviously I'll never be taking my pets back there again! Read Less

A HUGE shout out to the staff of HEALING PAWS VET CLINIC today. I had a severe emergency with a diabetic cat this morning and I was refused by 3 vets in Tri-cities. I called Healing Paws and I was told to bring her in right away. They literally shuffled around their whole daymaking calls to clients (as I sat there listening) asking them to reschedule. THIS is what a vet is all about. The saving of an animal should not be based on 'we have no time'or 'sorry, you don't have an apt.' Thank you again heart emoticon Read Less

I came here to get my dogs third vaccination. Not only did they waste our time after we had asked themIf our dog Paris was too young for the rabies shot (she advised us on the phone she wasn't) when we got there wee waited 35 minutes and were told it's too soon. So we decided just to get her nails trimmed. They charged is over &60.00 to get a 1.5 pound chihuahua puppy nails trimmed! Absolutely absurd! They drag us in there to do a shot vaccination for our puppy and when we get there after numerous phone calls they make us wait 30 minutes to tell us that she is too young to get the vaccination. Okay fine, since we are there just trim the dogs nails! By the way we have TWO 2.3POUND TEACUP CHIHUAHUAS! They charged us $67.00 to trim their nails! Not only did you waste my husband and I time, but you charged us almost $70.00 for nail trims? Are you mentally ill? I will never bring any of my 3 chihuahuas here ever again, but will make sure to let everyone know about this absurd service we had received not to mention being ripped off! If they told us they would charge us more than a $10 a dog I wouldn't even consider it. I should charge them for wasting our time dragging us there after I specifically talked to Kerri on the phone asking if she was too young to get those shots in the first place! What a joke! I have called in and requested a manager call me immediately as I want a full refund! What a joke Read Less

I just came from my first Visit for my Dog Luna. I have been in the pet trade for over 25 years and have never had such a great first experience. Dr. Maja is incredible! She by far has the best approach to vaccination protocol, dietary suggestions and overall very thorough! I highly recommend this clinic, even if you have to drive far to get to them, do it! I love having this clinic in my neighbourhood and I can't believe some of these reviews. I hope the staff take them with a grain of salt! Read Less

We took our 3 month old pup to the vet for the first time today! Our experience was nothing short of amazing. Seems like a great holistic office with open minded staff. All of our questions and concerns were answered with clarity and respect, even the topic of vaccinations was easy and we didn't feel pressured to do anything without doing our own research. Being brand new dog owners it was very helpful that we were given a ton of handouts and information to bring home. I think we've found our vet for life! Read Less

Read Less

After getting our first puppy 4.5 yrs ago from a rescue we had no clue the wild ride we were really in for! But this little learning process quickly taught us that regular vet visits are a must, so is insurance, and that your choice of doggy doctor is the most important. I can't say enough great things about Dr. Maja (Maya) and her staff. They've become like part of our extended family. I'd recommend them to everyone we know. (Actually we do)! There's not many Holistic/Homeopath veterinarians that we know of that are also practise conventional  medicine as well. Best to have options in your furry family member's health-care, as well as a say. Always a great indicator when your doggy loves to go to the vet. Ours actually gets excited the night before if we mention that he's going to see Dr. Maja in the morning... Read Less

It's not as easy as one would think to find a vet that clearly goes in depth and the extra mile when examining your pet and recommending a course of action.Dr. Maja spent a great deal of time with us and pointed out many things that other vets just glossed over and didn't address. Just running a blood panel and finding nothing means that further exploration needs to be done; something the other vet didn't even venture towards. Simply 'liking' your vet isn't enough. KNOWING that they have the knowledge, expertise and the initiative to go further than a quick visual scan is vital.
