Dr. Siegert is extremely knowledgeable and always takes her time to answer in depth any questions my husband and I have regarding our pets. We have a dog who has addisons disease and our previous vet had her on too high a dose of medications and not on the best ones for her condition. Within a very short time after moving our dog to Port Moody Animal Hospital Dr. Siegert had our dogs meds down considerably and she switched her to a better medication for her condition. Prior to us moving to Port Moody Animal Hospital our dog had no energy, was grumpy all the time and didn't engage with her brother or play at all. With Dr. Siegerts changes in medication and doses she gave us our little girl back. Izzy is a happy, energetic dog who loves to play again which is so great to see. I highly recommend Dr. Siegert at the Port Moody Animal Hospital if you want someone who knows their stuff and takes great care with your furry little friends :) Read Less

Of all the Vets I have been to this is the most passionate and caring of them all. In my experience most vets prey on your love for your pet offering up unnecessary tests but the Dr always suggests sound advise to try a more holistic approach first. It's refreshing to go to a vet who takes the time to talk and answer questions without being rushed. Although maybe not as convenient as a place that you can get in immediately it is worth the wait to have a caring Doctor to look after your animals.Read Less

Let me start by saying Dr. Siegert is the kinda vet you wish had gone to human medical school and became your GP. She is compassionate, highly experienced, thorough and really takes the time to make you and your pet feel heard and seen to. There are vets who are great at making medical diagnoses and giving medical advice. Not only is Dr. Siegert skilled as such, but is also a master at reading animal behaviour. If my cat had a palm she could read it. Expect to get lots of practical tips on behaviour intervention to increase the quality of life for you and your pet. She is super at foreseeing potential problems and preventing them before they happen. Dr. Siegert is very pleasant and shows a genuine interest in providing animal care. I am writing this review because my cat has been having health issues for the last 3 weeks and I was forced to use other hospitals (one of them an emergency place). The first clinic was disappointing to say the least (Coquitlam animal hospital) and the second was pretty good (Central Animal, excellent medical care). But Port Moody Hospital is hands down the best. You can't get more holistic care than this. Dr. Siegert gives me pause for deep appreciation. Read Less

Took my cat there with a tumor on her neck. They removed it and charged me over 600. When we went to pick her up, I mentioned that I would be putting the cone back on so she wouldn't be able to scratch and rip out the stitches. The vet kept telling me not to. I'm glad I did anyways because as it was healing it was itchy and she tried to scratch. Also the incision and stitching was uneven and there are now two new small lumps (one at the top of incision and one at the bottom) Very poorly sutured.
