Ospika vet is one of the worst places to take a loved pet! My birds have been sick and seeing Dr.Vu since September (I originally saw the female but she was horrible and ignorant so we stuck with him) Not only did we go in every few weeks for the past 6 months with sick birds and pay a few emergencies vet fees, we also spent a lot of money on medicine, repeated tube feedings as well, so had to buy formula from there as well, I lost count how many bags I've went through! First visit, I was told it was a cold, (Dr.Lukatis) I was a horrible person and my birds were going to die without testing 😳 she was extremely aggressive showing me how to tube feed and also put that bug was a breeder male, which he is Not. Money was and is an issue, so i put the testing off for the first visit to see if the medication would work.. So I stopped listening to her pretty much right away, I left there extremely angry and felt like she didn't care at all, which she has clearly proven, she doesn't! Dr.Vu didn't want to do tests, I was either told on a regular basis that I needed to do them earlier in the week due to shipping them and getting proper results but never seemed to be able to be booked on the days where testing would be okay. I was then told it was because the company they deal with had limited testing, and it would cost me $350 for results that more than likely wouldn't give us any answers, I was denied testing many many times.. I continued to go there for repeated sickness and more medication and formula..This has went on since September, ive lost count how many visits I have actually made.. Just to have a medical procedure done on one of my birds without my consent and to have 2 of them (the most friendly doves ever) become terrified of people! I'd put Bug in the "vet cage" and he would throw up, Jasper would shake uncontrollably and both have stopped liking pets or being friendly with anyone, they don't trust hands, fake nails, or the vets office. This was extremely disheartening, considering they're such loving birds.. They're just starting to come around again, and no, it wasn't because of us handling them for meds etc, because that actually helped them become more used to us again... One of the last visits Dr.Vu told us to "make them comfortable " as long as I could..I said ok so you're waiting for one of them to die then so you can charge me $500 for a necropsy and figure out what the problem is, because clearly he could not figure it out on his own and had mentioned a necropsy a few times, how disgusting! Like are you not a professional? I was also told if I needed meds until I was able to get them into another vets office, they would help and not leave us hanging... Well I phoned because my birds have stuff In their throats and coming out of their noses, and some have had to be tube fed again, I asked for medicine until my appointment with a new vet on April 6th, I was told no! I was also informed that Dr.vu had stepped down from being an exotic vet (I wonder why 🤔🙄) and that Dr.Lukatis said she would not treat them without an appointment and seeing them first, and if they are that sick, then I needed to make and pay for an emergency vet fee!! AFTER 6 MONTHS OF CHARGING ME for appointment after appointment, she decided to be petty! I argued this and I was told that one of the girls would ask her again and get back to me, I was also told she can't treat my flock because of legality reasons, I said no, that's bullshit, they were removed, from your boss, because we've been there so many times, she wanted us to be able to get help for everyone without me bombarding the office with 11 sick doves! So why is it back in place??? I begged for her to speak to them again, this was on Friday, I still have not heard anything back and yes, I still have extremely sick birds!!! They took all my money, they were aggressive with my doves, they done procedures without my consent and now they've left them to die, and no, I am not being dramatic, they will die if I can't get them help! All I can do is pray they make It till I can see the new vet and find enough money to get them help, as I have been drained completely by Ospika and my babies have been pushed aside now.. Im beyond disgusted with them! I had multiple medication problems, not enough or not the right kind of formula etc, I was rudely greeted a few times because someone didn't want to do her job, and help me out and pre dose syringes as the vet asked her to do so after me complaining about missing doses... I wouldn't take a mouse in there for help.. They have literally turned their backs on 11 little souls who need help, I am beyond saddened for them, sickened with the vet and extremely angry! Dr. Lukatis, if my birds die, its on you and your husband Dr.vu! You guys both clearly shouldn't be exotic veterinarians! Dr.vu just realized it sooner.... But to leave his 11 patients in the dust, you disgust me! And thanks to the neglect and unprofessionalism , my birds are now antibiotic resistant! But something would help them clear it up a bit and breathe until I can get them to a new vet, which is on April 6th and yes, Ospika know this.... They don't understand why they don't feel good or why I am not helping them 💔 They try to show me they're sick, and all I can do is cry and hope they survive 😔😢 ****I was told after the first round of medication that Bug was fine now and I had said, the others are not, so I brought them in, he said no they're not sick, well guess what? Dr. McClellan and the staff at Ospika took great care of my little havanese pup when he had his neuter and some teeth out. They offered follow up at any point and a check up phone call came a week later. Truly Sincere. Hard to find these days :) Highly Recommend Read Less
