Everything was professional until the Vet appeared in the tiny room with no mask. When I asked him to put one on he refused. This during a public health order during a pandemic.

I have thought long and hard since the passing of my service dog buddy after having seen the new vet at this Clinic dr. Champagne.. buddy hurt himself jumping from the inside of my pickup truck to the ground and what I thought was a shoulder injury ended up being something else that the doctor could not detect.. before going to the vet buddy laid in my yard for 3 days and could not walk..for peace of mind I took him into the vet for X-rays and to see if his shoulder was dislocated.. while they were x-raying my dog they found a small immature tick on his body.. it was early spring and there are deer living in my yard and one had managed to get on buddy but had not yet bit him..the vet and staff were more concerned about this little immature Tick than the well-being of my dog and convinced me to buy some frontline for ticks..after we got home I applied the front line to Buddy for the first time in his life he was 10 and 1/2 years old and healthy as a horse before this accident.being a black love buddy was in the water constantly and never had issues with fleas or ticks ..we winter in Mexico and it's the same there he's in the ocean every day.. soon after applying this product buddy worsened quickly and ultimately on Easter Sunday died just two days after seeing the vet. When I called to tell the vet he had died and asked how does a dog die from a shoulder injury? the vet Doctor Champaign said "I think he had a stroke".. WTF? A stroke? Why didn't you suggest this when I was in the vet? Instead of fretting about a stupid little immature tick? This vet is no good! it's one thing to live in Quesnel and get lousy medical care for humans but never have I ever had a lousy vet before in my 30 years of owning dogs. Buddy had a toxic reaction to this frontline tick crap and my dog died because of it.. Buddy died a needless painful death.. Buddy my Service dog pushed my wheelchair around and even retrieved grouse when we hunted DID NOT DESERVE THIS! this will remain an open wound that i will bear for the rest of my life thanks to this lousy vet!! do yourself a favor and do not go to this vet!
